Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 98: Should We... Give It a Try?
CHAPTER 98: CHAPTER 98: SHOULD WE... GIVE IT A TRY?
"Don’t be upset, rest assured, I won’t easily tell him. After all, it’s our secret."
Ian Sterling deliberately said, as he walked in with the cake, placing it on the coffee table by the floor-to-ceiling window. While cutting the cake, he called out to her:
"Come over and try the cake I made? I heard from your mother that you like mousse cake."
"It’s so late, eating sweets will make you gain weight," Summer Nolan said.
He walked over to her side, suddenly raised his hand to ruffle her hair, and said, "No matter if you get fat or stay thin, you’ll always look good. I won’t mind... as your friend."
"You can’t let my kindness go to waste, you must try it tonight." With that, he pulled her to the single sofa and made her sit down.
"By the way, I saw a lot of wine on your rack. How about we open a bottle?" he suddenly asked. Living close by had its perks; he could come over and see her anytime.
At home, that man couldn’t come and cause trouble, right?
Was she really out socializing this afternoon? Or was she forced to spend time with Elias Spencer?
He couldn’t relax; he needed to gain her acknowledgment faster.
"Cake with wine?" Summer raised an eyebrow and asked.
"How would you know if it’s not good unless you try?" said Ian as he walked out. Without treating himself as an outsider, when running into her mother in the living room, he politely asked,
"Would you like a glass of wine as well, Mrs. Nolan?"
"No need, you two enjoy. Just remember, don’t drink too much since you both have to work tomorrow," Mrs. Nolan reminded him, silently admiring her daughter.
Which one is she going to choose?
Or perhaps she wants both?
"Don’t worry, Mrs. Nolan, we’ll just have a couple of sips," Ian said as he picked the most expensive wine priced over ten thousand dollars, and grabbed two long-stemmed glasses.
Summer noticed the wine in his hand, her mouth curled, she let out a cold snort, "You really know how to pick, always going for the expensive ones."
"I can always bring you more next time, wines worth a few thousand just don’t taste good," he said as he opened the bottle and poured into both glasses.
He picked up a glass, swirled it around, and took a sniff. The wine just poured was still somewhat pungent, needing some time to breathe to enhance the taste.
Seeing him sitting in her room so late, Summer felt a bit anxious and scared; if Elias Spencer found out, he would definitely explode!
Clearly, being caught in the act by him before had left a psychological shadow.
Even though she was single, she felt like she was having an affair.
Ian noticed her zoning out, put down the glass, picked up a small fork, and brought a small piece of cake to her lips, "Don’t just sit there, try the cake I made..."
Summer snapped back to reality, glanced at him, and was about to take the fork when he suddenly moved it away, "Come on, I promise it’s not poisonous, you won’t die eating it."
"We’re just friends, no need to be so ambiguous."
She tried to grab the fork from his hand again, but the cake suddenly fell onto her, rolling from her chest to her leg.
Cream smeared all over her clothes; she immediately stood up, looked down at herself with a frown, and was just about to grab some tissues to wipe it off when Ian approached with a tissue.
While wiping her chest, he apologized, "Sorry, I didn’t know it would suddenly fall on you..."
However, while lightly pressing down on her clothes to wipe, he could faintly make out the contour of two bumps—
The fragrance emanating from her, along with her captivating and alluring demeanor, involuntarily caused his Adam’s apple to roll, a surge of uncontrollable desire rising within him.
It was very strong.
What if he slept with her, would Elias Spencer back off?
"I can wipe it myself." Summer lifted her gaze, and upon meeting his fiery stare, she immediately pushed him away slightly. In the next instant, she was suddenly shoved against the glass window by this man!
"Summer, I like you..." Ian said with a dry throat before domineeringly kissing her lips, one hand clasping her nape, while the other pulled the ribbon tying her robe, running over her silky back.
This man even suddenly pulled off her jacket.
Being suddenly kissed, Summer was a bit annoyed, she pushed him hard, but he didn’t budge, making her even angrier. Being violated by someone she didn’t like was truly repulsive.
She suddenly bit down on his lip—
He groaned, but instead of backing away, he held her tighter and moved towards the bed, suddenly pinning her down on it!
Ian brushed his nose against hers, softly nuzzling, his voice hoarse, "I’ll take responsibility for you..."
Summer was really angry, both hands pressed against his chest in disgust, said in a deep voice, "I originally had a good impression of you, don’t make me hate you."
"Did you not say you wouldn’t get back together with Elias Spencer? Why can’t you give me a chance?" He frowned, tightly gripping her wrist, looked down at her, and asked.
"I just want to focus on my career right now, not interested in dating anyone. Please respect yourself, Mr. Sterling." She turned her face away, her voice cold.
"...How do you know you don’t want to date unless you try? Can we... give it a shot?"
Ian didn’t want to give up the chance tonight, grasped her hands and pinned them above her head, then forcefully kissed her again. Don’t women only develop attachments after sleeping with a man?
Summer immediately turned her face away, yelled angrily, "Ian Sterling!"
"Are you so averse to me touching you? If it were Elias Spencer, would you be just as averse?" He looked down at her and asked.
He considered himself not lacking in looks or background, many women pursued him and wished to marry him.
Why was she so unmoved?
Summer turned her head to look at him, didn’t answer his question, but had to admit, her body wasn’t averse to Elias Spencer, sometimes even uncontrollably sinking into his embrace—
Perhaps she had long gotten used to his closeness?
"Do you still like him?" Ian didn’t want to ask her this question, was afraid of knowing her answer, yet couldn’t resist wanting to know.
"...No, who would like him? He just bullies me!" Summer coldly huffed, stubbornly denying.
Ian believed her words, suddenly raised his hand to swear to her, "I swear, I’ll never bully you in this life, give me a chance, would you?"
"Sorry, I’m really not planning on dating anyone, get up." She tried to struggle her hands free, feeling somewhat afraid being pressed down by this man’s body.
Afraid he might lose control and force himself on her.
Ian didn’t get up, pressing down on the soft and fragrant body beneath him, looking at her half-disheveled alluring shoulder, and her heaving chest faintly visible, he struggled to restrain his own desire.
She didn’t realize how seductive she was right now!
His throat was a bit dry.
His fingertips lightly traced her butterfly bone, asking her, "Then when do you plan on dating?"
"I don’t know... Just get up now! I’m angry!!" Summer said angrily, feeling very repulsed.
"Can’t you just give me a timeframe?" Ian’s fingers slid from her collarbone to her chin, gently pinching it as he spoke.
He didn’t seem inclined to move off her unless she gave him a timeframe.
