Saint Seiya: The Multiverse Libra Gold Saint
Chapter 33 33: SS 33: Evil God, Hydra
"Lord, I've already contacted the Dark Saints of Death Queen Island."
"They'll join our vampires in this hunting operation."
Dracula returned to the secret chamber.
He spoke to the evil god before him.
"Dark Saints, huh?"
"Nothing but trash discarded by the Sanctuary."
"But if they can serve some purpose now, that's at least making use of garbage."
"Come here."
Several grotesque snake heads slowly emerged from the darkness.
The creature's body appeared incomplete.
It should have had nine heads, but now only four remained.
Even so, the oppressive aura unique to an evil god was still formidable.
Dracula kept his head bowed low, not daring to look directly at the monstrous being before him.
"Hiss~ Ah!!!"
Excruciating pain surged from his body to his soul. Dracula felt like he was dying.
After what seemed like an eternity, he finally recovered from the agony.
In its place was an inexplicable surge of power.
"Thank you, Lord."
Dracula was thrilled.
"Your power now barely touches the edge of the seventh sense."
"That's the limit your body can handle."
"I had planned to transform you slowly."
"But time is short now."
"If you can complete the task of killing the Golden Saint."
"I'll grant you all his blood and power!"
The remaining heads of the Hydra twisted in an eerie, unnatural dance.
It sent chills down the spine.
"I'll give it my all."
Dracula's blood-red eyes gleamed with greed.
He knew this was the bait Hydra dangled before him.
But he had to admit, it was incredibly tempting.
First, elevating his power to the brink of the seventh sense.
Then tempting him with the blood of a Golden Saint.
Everything pointed to one thing.
If he could successfully kill the Golden Saint walking the earth, he could break through to the seventh sense.
He could attain the legendary ultimate cosmos, the seventh sense!
And gain unparalleled power.
No mortal could resist such temptation.
Dracula was no exception.
"I hope you don't let me down."
"As long as I can reclaim the Head of Eternity."
"I'll be able to restore my full power."
"Athena! Hercules! Just you wait!"
Killing intent radiated from Hydra's remaining snake heads.
He had been sealed for too long.
So long that he'd forgotten the passage of time.
Even after awakening through the ages, his power remained weakened.
Dracula left the chamber and immediately summoned all the vampires across Europe.
"I have one order."
"Expand our kin with all your might. No need to care about humans anymore."
"Also, intensify the spread of the plague."
"I want the Golden Saint walking the earth to know we're here."
No vampire dared defy Dracula's words, and they began carrying out his orders.
The lord of Death Queen Island also received Dracula's message.
"So soon?"
"And so confident?"
The island lord's expression grew serious.
After much thought, he sent a reply to Dracula.
He wanted to uncover the cards Dracula held.
Unfortunately, Dracula was cautious and revealed nothing.
With no other choice, the island lord contacted Kaiser directly.
"Lord Kaiser."
"Dracula has reached out to me."
"He says he's ready for the assassination."
"The vampires will aggressively expand their kin and spread the plague to lure you in."
"But I couldn't probe what trump card Dracula holds."
Through telepathy, the island lord's words reached Kaiser's ears.
Though they were far apart, for Saints who had mastered the sixth and seventh senses, distance was no issue.
"Oh?"
"Got it."
"You can proceed as planned."
"Also, bring along the Dark Saints from Death Queen Island who harbor disloyalty."
"I'll take care of them all at once."
"I'll make it look like you're gravely injured and remove you from the battlefield."
"The Sanctuary will handle the rest."
Kaiser responded.
"Understood, Lord!"
The island lord felt reassured.
He didn't know much about Kaiser.
The Golden Saints of the Twelve Zodiacs were, to them, shrouded in mystery.
Because they rarely leave the palaces they guard.
The only ones somewhat familiar might be Aries Gateguard and Taurus Aldebaran. (Every generation of Taurus inherits this name, so don't mind it, but it's also their primary name.)
These two zodiacs are closest to the Sanctuary's exit and training grounds.
But Kaiser, even among the Golden Saints, is one of the most enigmatic.
In the years since becoming a Golden Saint, he has barely stepped out of the Libra Temple.
Even ignoring the Pope's summons.
Who would've thought Athena would now send him to patrol the earth?
Under Dracula's arrangements, the plague began to spread rampantly.
This plague, sweeping across nearly all of Europe, struck fear into countless hearts.
Order collapsed, with barely one in ten residents surviving.
The vampires expanded at a frenzied pace.
Humans infected by the plague would die rapidly within a short time.
And their corpses would become new sources of infection.
At this rate, even modern medicine centuries later would be powerless.
Let alone in this era.
Kaiser pretended to know nothing.
After hunting countless vampires, he followed the "clues" Step by step into the trap Dracula had meticulously set.
"Finally here."
Kaiser scanned his surroundings.
What should have been a beautiful town.
Was now in ruins.
Plants emitted black miasma, and the ground was littered with corpses.
It was nothing less than a living hell.
