School Transmigration: I, Chosen as the Saint by Dragons at the Start
Chapter 73 -73-Heading to Gosa Waters
CHAPTER 73: CHAPTER73-HEADING TO GOSA WATERS
[Prophecy: Level 3. The host can foresee events occurring within the next 7 seconds from the moment this skill is activated, and can alter certain outcomes. This skill can be upgraded, the next level requires 10000 fate points. Cooldown: Three days.]
"Change certain things?" Owen’s eyes lit up as he pondered over the new upgrade. "What does that mean?"
He had some guesses, but nothing was certain yet. "Could it mean that I can change what I see in the [Prophecy] world, and then reflect those changes in the real world?"
A wave of exhilaration swept through Owen.
The upgraded level three [Prophecy] was already proving to be incredibly powerful.
He immediately decided to test it out with Erin.
He knocked on Erin’s door.
Erin, rubbing her sleepy eyes, opened the door and asked drowsily, "Master, what’s wrong?"
Without a word, Owen silently invoked, "[Prophecy] activate."
Another "Owen" stepped out from his body, watching as the real Owen talked with Erin.
As seconds ticked by, he suddenly snapped his fingers, and everything in the [Prophecy] world came to a halt.
Erin was frozen mid-sentence, her mouth still open.
Owen’s heart raced; he reached out to touch Erin.
"I touched her!" His pupils constricted in shock.
In the [Prophecy] world, he was supposed to be a spirit, observing future events like a ghost, unable to interact with anything within the [Prophecy] realm.
Previously, he had no way of touching anything in the [Prophecy] world.
But now, he had changed that fact. He had managed to touch Erin’s body.
Owen’s heart pounded rapidly, excitement causing his hands to tremble slightly.
He pondered for a moment and then gently placed Erin’s hand on his face.
He intended to continue the embrace, but suddenly his body turned ethereal, passing through Erin as his form reverted to a spirit.
The [Prophecy] time elapsed, and the black-and-white world burst into color.
Owen was back in the present.
"Master, why aren’t you saying anything?" Erin asked, tilting her head adorably.
Owen managed to squeeze out a smile, concealing his excitement, "Nothing, I just wanted to see you."
Erin’s cheeks flushed slightly as she tightened her slightly loose clothing, "Master, it’s so late. Is there something you need?"
Owen shook his head gently.
Erin looked deeply into his eyes, noticing the profound weariness in them.
"Perhaps the saint has some matters weighing on his mind," she thought.
For some reason, Erin felt a surge of impulse and reached out to touch Owen’s face.
"Master, I will always be here for you," she assured.
The moment Erin’s hand touched Owen’s face, she recoiled as if electrified. "Master, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to... I just saw you looking so tired."
Joy welled up in Owen’s eyes, and he could no longer hide it.
He had truly changed the future.
The upgrade of [Prophecy] had indeed granted him the power to alter future events, even if just slightly.
If it weren’t for his alteration of the future, Erin wouldn’t have been so bold as to caress his face voluntarily.
Seeing that Owen wasn’t angry, Erin breathed a sigh of relief: "What was I thinking just now? How could I dare to act so disrespectfully towards a saint? Luckily, he wasn’t upset."
Owen suddenly embraced Erin tightly and planted a fervent kiss on her cheek: "Erin, this is wonderful. So wonderful, ha ha ha..."
"What’s so wonderful?" Erin was completely baffled, still processing the kiss.
"It’s nothing, you should get some rest now."
Owen returned to his room, still relishing the newly upgraded capabilities of [Prophecy].
Meanwhile, Erin stood there dazed, watching his retreating figure and touching her cheek where he had kissed her.
She felt that spot on her skin become burning hot, a warmth spreading through her.
It took her a while to come back to her senses.
With a smile blooming on her face, she happily closed her door. "I’ll sleep well tonight."
...
In the days that followed, Owen returned to his routine at the academy, and life became mundane again.
Magic of the human race is the most powerful in this world and the key to their survival.
As the premier institution of magical learning for humans, the Grand Magus Academy naturally offers profound and diverse knowledge.
Even someone as intelligent and gifted as Owen, with the talents of a saint, had to fully commit himself to learning.
Life, though simple, took on a different flavor with Finn around.
Ever since Owen became Finn’s mentor, Finn constantly shadowed him, even waiting outside when Owen used the restroom.
He lacked the demeanor of a royal prince, appearing more like a loyal sidekick to Owen.
Gradually, Owen grew accustomed to Finn’s presence.
Having Finn by his side meant less hassle for Owen; people in the academy steered clear of Finn, with only a few daring to interact with him.
This gave Owen some peace.
Then there was Diana.
After establishing a certain relationship with Owen and gaining powers like the power of the sun and the power of stellar – almost primal forces – she naturally needed to focus on her studies.
After spending a day entwined with Owen, she bid him farewell to return to her sage-tier mentor.
She intended to rigorously train, perhaps even reaching the master-tier by their next meeting.
Owen diligently studied magic, gaining a deeper understanding and steadily increasing his strength.
However, the barrier to the master-tier eluded him, causing him some frustration.
Three months had passed.
The sky sprinkled white snowflakes, like ethereal sprites dancing in the heavens.
The academy’s buildings, blanketed in thick snow, looked solemn and sacred.
Ancient stone walls were adorned with icicles, each one resembling an intricately carved piece of magical artistry.
In the academy’s square, a giant pine tree was covered with snow, its branches laden with glittering icicles.
Bathed in sunlight, they sparkled brilliantly. In a corner of the square stood a small snowman, its eyes made of two little stones, looking endearingly cute.
Owen, watching people scurry about in the snow, couldn’t help but exhale deeply: "The snow is falling heavily!"
Finn quickly chimed in, "Teacher, do you not like the snow? I can have someone clear it right away."
Owen glanced at Finn and casually said, "Let it be. It’s not good to interfere with nature’s forces."
"Yes, teacher is right," Finn agreed, looking utterly convinced, which made Erin cover her mouth to stifle a giggle.
Though standing in the snow, no flakes seemed to land on Owen.
Any snowflake that got near him was stopped by an invisible barrier.
This was due to the arcanergy emanating from his body, indicating that the energy within him had reached a critical point and was on the verge of erupting.
"It’s time to break through the barrier. I can’t suppress it any longer," Owen mused, gazing at the distant sky.
Deciding on his course of action, he didn’t hesitate: "Finn, come with me."
Finn was naturally delighted and quickly agreed, "No problem."
Erin wouldn’t miss this opportunity either: "I want to go too."
"Alright, let’s all go together."
Stepping out of the Grand Magus Academy, Owen was greeted by Berkeley, who had been waiting outside.
"Mr. Owen," Berkeley said, removing his hat and bowing slightly, "Long time no see."
Berkeley had been stationed on Rook Street, right outside the Grand Magus Academy.
He had even opened an arcanergy potion store there, specializing in selling various grades of arcanergy potions, and had made quite a profit.
Knowing Owen was about to leave, he hurried out to meet him.
"Greetings to His Royal Highness, the Second Prince," Berkeley said, well-informed about the happenings within the Grand Magus Academy.
He was well aware that Finn had been following Owen closely.
He reflected internally: "It’s only been half a year since Owen entered the Grand Magus Academy, and already the kingdom’s Second Prince seems to be acting more like a follower. Indeed, choosing to align with Owen was the right decision."
Finn nonchalantly waved his hand at Berkeley.
Owen, taking the initiative, asked, "I am looking to break through to the master-tier. Do you know of a suitable place?"
Berkeley was momentarily taken aback: "Sir, are you about to become a master-tier magus?" He was astounded. It had been such a short time.
Owen shook his head slightly: "No, it’s the arcanergy in my dragon blood that I can no longer control. I, as a warrior, need to break through to the master-tier."
"I see," Berkeley stroked his chin thoughtfully. "For your breakthrough to master-tier, you’ll certainly need a large amount of arcanergy. Perhaps Gosa Waters would be an ideal place for the breakthrough."
Normally, a human race member breaking through to the master-tier wouldn’t require much fanfare or a specific location.
The breakthrough to master-tier, compared to sage-tier, didn’t involve as much commotion, focusing more on a "sense" of enlightenment.
However, for Owen, as a dragon, breaking through to the master-tier meant he had to transform into a dragon.
Given his current size of over ten meters, he definitely needed a suitable location for his breakthrough.
"Gosa Waters?" Owen was somewhat geographically challenged.
Finn, not wanting to embarrass Owen, took the initiative to explain: "It’s our kingdom’s territorial sea, inhabited by most of the sea races. The arcanergy there is so abundant it can almost condense into liquid. It’s a favored destination for many magi who practice water-based magic."
"However, since you don’t practice water-based magic, teacher... Gosa Waters might not be the best fit for you."
Berkeley internally chuckled, having thought Finn to be a strong contender as Owen’s right-hand man.
He hadn’t expected Finn to be unprepared for such basic knowledge.
