Chapter 152: Chapter 75 Classmate reunion?_2 Chapter 152: Chapter 75 Classmate reunion?_2 Long Kongkong said, “I’ve always been passionately devoted to her, but it seems like my goddess doesn’t feel the same way. Now it’s her birthday and I have no idea what to do for a gift. I don’t even have time to go shopping. What’s more, I’m broke, but Long Dangdang keeps saying I only dance when I have money. Now I’m short of cash when I need it the most. What am I going to do?”

“Have you gone bonkers? Have you forgotten who you are?” Small Tree said grumpily.

Long Kongkong was stunned. “Who am I?”

“You are a knight! Can’t you give her a healing light specialty magic? What could be more important than giving health? Make it look nice,” Small Tree said.

Long Kongkong’s eyes sparkled, “Yes, that’s it! But, won’t that blow my cover?”

Small Tree responded, “You can’t keep her in the dark about you being a professionist forever! She’ll find out sooner or later; knowing this will only increase her confidence in you. What are girls most afraid of? It’s the inability of their loved ones to give them a sense of security. If you can’t give her that, how could she dare to be with you?”

Long Kongkong’s eyes sparkled even brighter, “You’re a life mentor! Small Tree, you know so many things. Thanks, sis.”

Small Tree grumbled: “I’m not your sister. If we go by age, even being your great-grandmother won’t do you justice.”

Long Kongkong chuckled, “Isn’t it different? Didn’t you say that from the moment you signed the contract with me, it was like being reborn? With that being the case, why are you being so nitpicky? If you’re newly born, then technically, you’re my younger sister. Sis Small Tree, I’m counting on you to guide me in the future! Once I win my goddess over, I’ll work hard to help you upgrade.”

Small Tree fell silent for a long time before murmuring, “You are the first I’ve met to use the Wisdom Spirit Furnace as an emotional advisor.”

Long Kongkong smugly replied: “Does this mean I won?”

Small Tree ignored him and cut off contact.

“Kongkong, dishes are ready.” Hep Benn’s voice came from the front of the shop.

Long Kongkong cheerfully said, “Coming, coming.”

When he came out of the kitchen with the tray of cold dishes, more than a dozen people had already arrived. There were both men and women, majority were females and their outfits were quite simple. Long Kongkong heaved a sigh of relief after glancing around; not a single one of the men present was a match for him in terms of looks. There also weren’t any scenes of anyone trying to compete with him for his goddess. Everyone wished Hep a happy birthday, happily eating their meals without complaining about the shop’s small size.

Long Kongkong observed while serving dishes, after overhearing their conversations he gradually learned that these people, including Hep Benn, were students from a civilian academy in Holy City. They were all normal people, not professionists. Each year, the Federation government office recruited a certain number of these civilian students, providing them a rare chance to advance their socio-economic status.

Those who came to celebrate Hep’s birthday were her classmates. Their class was small, full of top students who were academically strong, and aspired to join the government office.

Therefore, their discussions revolved mostly around Federation affairs and academic problems. Hep was sitting with a few girls, always wearing a smile on her face, showing that she was extremely happy.

Long Kongkong was busy moving around, catching the attention of a few girls. The way they were stealing glances at him and whispering something to Hep made it obvious for him.

The group had lunch together and stayed until dinner. They relished this rare opportunity to chat freely. It wasn’t until late in the evening, they finally parted ways reluctantly.

While Hep saw off each of her classmates, Long Kongkong was busy cleaning up.

Yun Shu and Hep seemed to be very close, Yun Shu stayed until last. Observing Kongkong’s diligent attitude, Yun Shu whispered to Hep, “Sweetie, your cousin is quite impressive, both good-looking and hard-working. But he doesn’t seem to be from our school, right?”

Hep replied, “No, he isn’t. He goes to a different school.”

Yun Shu giggled, “Should I get to know him? The more I look, the more handsome he appears. Just fifteen years old and already so tall, and with a good figure, too. When he was cleaning up, I could see some muscle definition. He is definitely going to grow up to be very handsome. What do you think if I implement a handsome youth cultivation plan?”

Hep rolled her eyes, “You’re overthinking it. Remember, you mentioned how your cousin from Temple Academy was going to introduce you to his classmates? I thought you’ve always wanted to find a professionist?”

Yun Shu smirked, “That hasn’t happened yet. Plus, I doubt that those professionists will even look my way! The students from Temple Academy’s Main College are all quite lofty, and I’m not as pretty as you. I think your cousin is a more practical option.”

“Alright, Alright, it’s getting late, you should hurry home while it’s still light.” Hep Benn said irritably.

“Promise me, you’ll ask our cousin.”

“Ask what? He’s still young. Let’s talk about this in a few years.”

“Really, it’s such a pity to let relatives miss out. It’s better to keep the benefits within the family!”

With Yun Shu gone, Long Kongkong had nearly finished tidying up the kitchen. He lifted the curtain and stepped out.

Looking at him, Hep Benn’s gaze softened considerably. She walked over and wiped the sweat from his forehead with a tissue, “You really worked hard today.”

Long Kongkong chuckled, “I didn’t find it tough at all! You didn’t tell me beforehand that today was your birthday, I didn’t even prepare a gift.”

She smiled lightly and said, “You were supposed to take the day off today, but I took all your time. You’ve been running around helping me the whole day. This is already the best birthday gift.”

Hurriedly, Long Kongkong said, “No, no. This doesn’t count. This is something I ought to do. Sister, I’m done tidying up. It’s late, let me walk you home?”

“Hmm.” Hep Benn nodded.

The pair stepped out of Hep’s Ribs Shop, Long Kongkong laughed as he closed the door, “Sister, I should remind you of something,”

Hep Benn asked with confusion, “What is it?”

“Beware of fire, thieves and best friends.” Long Kongkong chuckled.

Hep Benn rolled her eyes but quickly understood he had heard the whole conversation. Annoyed, she retorted, “What are you thinking? You should beware of fire, thieves, and Kongkong. Let’s go!”

Long Kongkong accompanied Hep Benn, taking her back home on a familiar path, all the way to her doorstep.

“Thank you for today! You’ve been working all day, you should head back early and rest.” Hep Benn stood at her door, whispering to Long Kongkong. After saying this, she prepared to unlock the door to her house.

“Wait a moment.” Long Kongkong stopped her.

“Hmm?” Hep Benn turned and looked at him.

Long Kongkong said with a beaming smile, “I want to give you a birthday gift.”

“You prepared one?” Hep Benn asked.

“Of course. How could there not be a birthday gift for my goddess?” As he spoke, a pale golden halo lit up at his chest. In Hep Benn’s surprised gaze, the gentle golden light began to expand, a golden figure with outstretched wings appeared behind Long Kongkong.

The previous deep darkness was illuminated by the golden light, the radiant aura instantly turned the coldness of the night into warmth.

Long Kongkong spread his arms, the golden figure behind him merged slowly with his body, making his whole body radiate a divine aura. Under the golden light, he exuded a divine presence, only the mischievous smile on his face reminded Hep Benn who he was.

“Happy Birthday, my goddess.”

Under Hep Benn’s astonished gaze, Long Kongkong took a step forward, gently enveloping her in his embrace. Their bodies didn’t touch, but the spiritual power brought by the Angel’s Blessing subtly flowed into Hep Benn’s body, giving her warmth and light.

Yes, the spiritual power of Angel’s Blessing, mimicking the embrace of the Archangel’s Embrace, this was the birthday gift he gave her.
