Cleaning up the leak before we get to the good stuff~

"The real question is, if we're sharing you with Jinu… does that mean you'll share Jinu with us?"

Rumi's first instinct upon hearing Mira's query is to shout 'Absolutely not!'. Fortunately, her second instinct is to bite her tongue and keep those words from leaving her lips because… what leg does she have to stand on? Why would she get to be the only one 'shared' between her girls and Jinu? If… if they really wanted some alone time with Jinu, then was it truly her place to get between them?

"To be clear, I'm not talking about one on one."

Wait, what? Rumi blinks as Mira crosses her arms over her chest.

"If anything did happen, I'd want it to be all four of us. Jinu would be… heh, purely physical. I'm sure Zoey agrees with me."

The younger woman squawks at suddenly being called out.

"H-Hey! I haven't even said I want Rumi to share Jinu with me!"

Then, she pauses and blushes, pressing her index fingers together and giggling as she gives Rumi an apologetic look.

"… B-But yeah, Mira is right. Jinu is hot, don't get me wrong, but he's not you or Mira. I'd be interested in… trying things out if it was all four of us though."

Rumi looks between her girls with wide eyes, more than a little overwhelmed at this point. On the one hand, Mira's bad girl persona had always implied something like this could be possible. On the other hand, even Zoey was interested in… in foursomes?!

But then again… was Rumi really that disgusted by the idea? No, no she wasn't. Actually, she wasn't even remotely repulsed by the thought. In fact, she was a little… eep!

"N-No! I mean… wait. Just… give me a second, okay?"

She hadn't meant to say 'no', it just came out. Mira and Zoey still look a little disappointed though, so she quickly reaches out and grabs them by the hands, intertwining their fingers together and giving them both a good squeeze.

"L-Look… I'm not against the idea either, just to be clear. But… we have to be really, really careful about how we present it to Jinu."

Mira arches a brow while Zoey frowns, leaning in and tilting her head to the side.

"Why is that Rumi?"

Huffing at her maknae's curiosity, Rumi squirms for a beat before giving in.

"Because… it's the whole nobility thing I mentioned earlier. As far as he's concerned, he's just a peasant, you two are noblewomen, and I'm some… Princess or something!"

"Mood."

Rumi's jaw drops open at Mira's response, but she just shrugs and smirks.

"He's not wrong, Princess."

That… brings back memories. Back before their debut, back when they were still training and getting to know each other. Princess had been one of Mira's nicknames for Rumi before they'd really found their rhythm together. Now, this time around Rumi knows Mira doesn't mean it in quite as negative of a way, but still…

"You ARE Popstar Royalty, Rumi."

And of course, Zoey gets her licks in too and just like always Rumi can't tell for certain if the younger woman even knows it. Groaning at the both of them, Rumi rolls her eyes.

"… Settle down you two. What I'm trying to say here is... let me put it this way. Jinu literally tried to convince me that I don't love him and haven't known him long enough to be in love with him. Then, he turned around not five seconds later and told me he definitely loved me with all his heart because I gave him his soul back. And he saw NOTHING wrong with believing both of those things at the same time!"

That at least seems to get through to the other two girls. The smirk drops from Mira's face and Zoey gasps a little bit. Rumi just nods before throwing herself back into the couch again for more Ceiling Contemplation Time.

"So… yeah. If we tell him that's what we want, he'll just go along with it. Especially if he gets a whiff that it's what I want. As far as he's concerned, he's the lowest man on the totem pole here and my love for the both of you will always come before my love for him. And I… I don't want to play favorites like that. I DO love you both… but I love him too. And it still feels a bit like a fever dream that there's a chance I could have all three of you… in that way."

There's a silent pause and then Mira and Zoey join Rumi in Ceiling Contemplation Time once more. Mira sighs.

"… I feel that. This whole week feels like a damn fever dream at this point. Jinu has seriously turned our lives upside down… and I can't even be that mad because it's all been pretty positive."

"Yeah. I'm just… I'm just glad everything worked out, you know? I don't think I could stand ever losing either of you guys…"

Zoey sounds a little wobbly for a moment, like she might start crying and that would be bad because then Rumi might start crying… but thankfully she gets it under control. Still, it's just another sign that Jinu was right in the end. Her girls really wouldn't have done well without her. Rumi's self-sacrificing attitude was only ever going to break the women who mattered the most to her in this life.

Squeezing their hands, Rumi stays quiet for a long moment before finally clearing her throat. She never thought this was something she'd have to discuss with her bandmates, but if they were in some weird sort of relationship now…

"I think I want my first time to be with Jinu. Is that… okay?"

Mira snorts derisively.

"He's technically the only one with the proper equipment, so I guess it's fine."

Zoey, meanwhile, gets a little quiet before asking a question.

"… can we be there?"

Rumi blushes hard and continues to stare up at the ceiling, even as Mira lifts her head to stare over her at Zoey for that question. Before letting out another huff and laying back on the couch again.

"… Yeah I kind of want to be there too. You know, if we're allowed or whatever."

Rumi never in a million years thought she'd be having this conversation. But the mental images that Mira and Zoey are invoking right now…

"Y-Yeah. Okay… so long as we're careful about how we approach the subject."

At least that makes Mira and Zoey squirm as well. Silence falls again, until suddenly Zoey asks the last question Rumi is expecting.

"Um… has Jinu even HAD sex?"

This time, both Rumi and Mira lift their heads from the back of the couch to stare at Zoey. Their maknae blushes but doesn't back down.

"I'm just asking! It could be very pertinent to our plan of attack!"

Rumi's mouth opens and closes a few times before she lets out a laugh.

"I-I mean… of course he's probably had sex! Right? He's literally four hundred years old!"

Mira though, has her head tilted to the side.

"Yeeeeah but he did spend four hundred of those years down in the demon realm. I don't know, I just don't want to imagine demons bumping uglies down there."

There's a pause as all three of them recognize that they're coming very close to an extremely sensitive issue that remains unaddressed. Namely, Rumi's parentage. Then, as if in unison, all of them decide to pull back from that particular abyss.

"He's way too experienced to be a virgin."

"Yeah, he's so suave and handsome."

"There's no way he 'entertained' in the Emperor's Palace four hundred years ago without bagging some noble baddie… right?"

Suddenly, they all lean forward at once in unspoken agreement, Rumi in the center, Mira and Zoey coming in from the sides for an impromptu team huddle. Rumi grins at her girls, knowing they have her back like always.

"… Let's figure out exactly how we're going to make this work…"

"Operation Seduce Jinu is a-go!"

"We're definitely not calling it that, Zoey."

It's about two hours later that Jinu returns to the penthouse. Two hours of talking and plotting and scheming. By the time the elevator dings, signaling his arrival, they've actually already ordered lunch brought up from the kitchen. Can't plan on an empty stomach, after all!

"Oh! Hey Jinu, come get some grub, you must be starving. Did everything go well with Bobby and Celine?"

Jinu raises an eyebrow at her grin and Rumi yelps when Mira smacks her in the side and mutters something about how ridiculously fake her smile currently looks. Doing her best to make herself look more natural, she nevertheless watches Jinu like a hawk as he makes his way over to the food and slowly nods.

"Yes, everything went well. I'll be signing the contract soon. Bobby said something about putting out a 'pre-statement' immediately?"

Oh? Rumi pulls out her phone as Mira and Zoey do the same. There is in fact a new post on all of the official HUNTR/X accounts, one that basically amounts to 'Soon™' and not much more. Rumi makes sure to immediately favorite and forward it on all of her own social media accounts to boost the signal, and out of the corner of her eye, she sees Mira and Zoey automatically doing the same.

Jinu watches them for a long moment as he chews the food currently in his mouth. Swallowing, he chuckles softly.

"You three are really attached to those things, aren't you?"

Rumi raises an eyebrow, but before she can respond, Zoey beats her to it with a sudden chuckle.

"Oh… you're going to be the bane of Bobby and the team's existence when it comes to posting to your socials, aren't you Jinu?"

Jinu furrows his brow and tilts his head to the side, even as Rumi pales upon realizing just how right Zoey is.

"What are 'socials'? And what do posts have to do with anything?"

Mira lets out a bark of laughter, while Rumi sighs and rubs the bridge of her nose with her fingers before trying to explain.

"If you're going to be an artist signed with Sunlight Entertainment, there will be certain expectations Jinu. You're expected to maintain a certain online presence in this day and age. Mira, Zoey, and I all post to at least one of our social media accounts every day, even when we're on breaks or hiatus."

Zoey bobs her head.

"It's not all bad! You just have to curate a specific brand for posting things that you yourself enjoy. Like me, I usually either post random turtle facts or link to turtle conservation efforts. Or, if I find a new rapper coming onto the scene that I like the sound of, I'll post my admiration to give them some extra eyes!"

Mira grunts.

"Yeah, I usually keep it to dance practice and makeup tutorials. Nothing too special, really. But it keeps the fans engaged."

Jinu frowns.

"… But what if I don't really care about keeping the fans engaged? I mean, this whole thing is just to get the heat off your guys' backs anyways. I'll release some music to keep up appearances, but I'm not trying to become as well-known as last time or anything like that."

Rumi shares glances with both Mira and Zoey where fortunately she finds they're all on the same page.

"… We'll figure something out; it's not important right now. What is important is getting everything squared away so let's wait for that contract and the official statement and see how people react."

Jinu shrugs and nods, giving her a smile like he'd happily do anything she asked of him at any time.

"Sure, sounds good to me."

Bobby himself comes with the official contract less than an hour later, barely having time to stop and chat as Jinu signs it and hands it back to the man. He's gone again within seconds, though Rumi manages to extract a promise from him that they'll be notified when the statement is going out.

It's while they're waiting to be notified that Jinu tells them about the other part of the plan, which is to wait a day or two and then also drop the bombshell that Jinu is a distant relation of Celine's as well, just to really rattle the cages of everyone who tried to tar and feather them over this.

Rumi has mixed feelings about that, but in the end if Bobby and Celine and Jinu were all happy with it… well, all she could do was wait and see how it all panned out.

Of course, Jinu also keeps giving her meaningful looks, clearly wanting to know how things went between her and her girls. But Rumi stonewalls him until everything else is taken care of. All part of the plan.

Sure enough, eventually they finally get the message and Rumi navigates to the official HUNTR/X account to see what Bobby cooked up. She trusts Bobby to do an excellent job with every fiber of her being, of course, but there's no denying some… nervousness all the same.

… But in the end, the statement is just as good as Rumi knows it will be. It starts strong and stays strong all the way through, saying all the things that need to be said without going too overboard.

It starts with categorical denials that any member of HUNTR/X is currently in a relationship. Then, it dives right into Jinu's 'history' as a homeless busker and Bobby 'discovering' him and bringing him in as talent for Celine to consider signing. Finally, it ends with the announcement that Jinu has officially signed on with Sunlight Entertainment at this time.

Capping it all off is the short video of Bobby and Jinu in Celine's office and Rumi has to admit, the camera really loves Jinu's face as he smiles at it and delivers his answer to Bobby's question with a natural ease.

Rumi quickly favorites and forwards it on all of her accounts again, before picking one website and opening the comments section, refreshing it every few seconds as hundreds of responses start to flood in. She reads through them all for a few minutes, pursing her lips before looking up to see Mira and Zoey doing the same but on different sites.

"What's the verdict, girls?"

"… It's working. Yeah, it's definitely working. Most people are going wild with excitement over both the announcement and Jinu's face card."

"Some are asking questions, but that's to be expected and Bobby and Celine have already got that covered anyways! Also #fridgetrix is trending again, but that's not really important."

Rumi hums, nodding along as Mira and Zoey's voices wash over her. She shudders a little bit at that last part from Zoey. Ugh, fridgetrix. Finally, she looks to Jinu and smiles.

"There's bound to be some negativity still of course, but they're quickly being drowned out by the real fans. We're in the clear."

Jinu smiles back at her.

"I'm glad."

Yeah, but she can tell he's only happy for her sake. As far as he was personally concerned, Jinu couldn't care less what people online thought of him. Ugh, he really was so old. And yet… she wouldn't have it any other way.

Before she can second guess herself, Rumi speaks up.

"We accomplished a lot today. The Rainbow Honmoon is completed… and Jinu finally got a job and can stop freeloading."

The dumbfounded look on his face at her teasing joke alone makes it worth it as Rumi grins.

"And that means… it's time for us to all have a chat… about what the future holds."

Jinu perks up at that, looking between her, Mira, and Zoey. Of course, when he realizes that her girls are both staring at him just as intensely as Rumi is, he starts to lean back and look very, very hunted.

… Which is good, because they ARE demon hunters.
