CHAPTER 22: CHAPTER 22 REMEMBER, FROM NOW ON YOU ARE ONE OF THE WALYONS
His voice was still as cool as before, like night mist, carrying a faint chill.
But on such a night as this, Summer Sutton felt a hint of warmth...
Summer Sutton hadn’t eaten all day, and after sitting outside the Sutton Family’s gate for so long, she was both tired and hungry at this moment.
Letting Adrian Walyon hold her, she behaved very obediently in his arms.
Adrian Walyon put her in the car, untied his coat, and casually draped it over her shoulders.
Summer Sutton felt a bit warmer, lifted her face and asked him, "Why are you here?"
Adrian Walyon got into the car with her, the heavy SUV slowly started, "I said, when I come home, I hope to see you."
She didn’t take the initiative to let him see her, so he came on his own.
"I was just..." Summer Sutton wanted to explain, but Adrian Walyon interrupted her, "Don’t come back to this place again in the future."
Actually, without him saying it, Summer Sutton had already considered this herself.
Betty Chapman wasn’t wrong; neither her father nor grandfather were here anymore, so what was she doing coming back here?
A place without family isn’t called home anymore...
Summer Sutton agreed with Adrian Walyon’s words, but didn’t expect him to follow up with another sentence, "From today on, remember you are part of the Walyon Family!"
"I haven’t decided whether to marry yet!" Summer Sutton lifted her face, eager to argue.
"Isn’t it inevitable?" Adrian Walyon chuckled, looking at her somewhat disdainfully.
Summer Sutton rolled her eyes at him.
The car continued its journey through the night, and Adrian Walyon didn’t drive straight back to Northtown but took her to a restaurant instead.
He took her inside, leisurely opened the menu, and ordered a dozen dishes.
He must have guessed she was hungry, because he ordered an unusually large amount, all of it seafood.
Summer Sutton didn’t maintain her image in front of him, as she intended to bury her head and devour the food when it arrived.
Before swallowing a mouthful of food, Adrian Walyon suddenly said, "Eat more, there’s room to grow."
His gaze was directly fixed on her chest.
It was self-explanatory.
Summer Sutton’s face turned bright red, embarrassed enough to want to slap him to death.
Adrian Walyon must have eaten already, as he didn’t touch the food but instead served her some.
Summer Sutton ate while quietly observing him.
She still didn’t know what Adrian Walyon’s status was, as they’d only known each other for two days.
But frankly, he was really not bad to her.
Just like today, when he appeared while she was in such a sorry state, which she hadn’t expected at all.
Adrian Walyon’s gaze met hers, seeing her inquisitive look, found her particularly amusing at this moment.
This woman was exceedingly naive; did she know how many women would break their heads trying to marry the man sitting in front of her?
The dinner passed just like that under Summer Sutton’s scrutinizing gaze.
Afterward, Adrian Walyon still didn’t drive straight back to Northtown but rather checked into a hotel nearby in River City.
"One room." Adrian Walyon handed his ID to the front desk clerk.
Before the check-in procedure began, Summer Sutton’s voice rang out, "Two rooms!"
Adrian Walyon frowned, his face expressionless, "One room!"
"Two rooms!" Summer Sutton insisted strongly.
She definitely didn’t want to sleep with him.
The clerk smartly opened one room for Adrian Walyon first.
Before the other room could be prepared, Adrian Walyon lifted the reluctant Summer Sutton at the service desk and carried her towards the elevator.
"Adrian Walyon, we’re not married yet!" Summer Sutton reminded him.
