CHAPTER 23: CHAPTER 23: SLEEP IN THE SAME BED WITH ME, I’M AFRAID OF WRONGING YOU
"If Miss Sutton is insistent on the wedding, I don’t mind holding it first and then getting the marriage certificate after four months," Adrian Walyon said, not even glancing at her as his long legs stepped into the elevator.
Summer Sutton was frightened by him, and subsequently, there was no sound from her at all.
It was this late hour, midnight, and everything around was exceptionally quiet.
Accompanied by the "ding" of the elevator, the two reached the floor where the room was located.
Adrian walked down the corridor, holding Summer Sutton, the sound of his footsteps echoed in the night.
He opened the door and entered the room first.
Turning his head slightly, his gaze slanted towards Summer Sutton behind him.
Summer Sutton stood at the doorway, unwilling to go in.
"Is Miss Sutton planning to sleep in the hallway?" Adrian slowly walked over to her, "Or do you need me to personally invite you in?"
There was no emotion in his voice, yet he exuded an intimidating presence.
"No need, I can walk myself!" Initially planning to resist a bit, Summer Sutton was startled by him and flew into the room like a gust of wind before he could make his next move.
She had experienced the consequences of Adrian personally making a move before, during the measurement of the size; she had learned her lesson.
If he personally intervened, she definitely wouldn’t have a good outcome.
Adrian coldly laughed and closed the room door behind him.
Ignoring her, once inside, he headed directly to the bathroom.
Immediately following, the sound of water splashing added some ambiguity to the atmosphere in the room during the midnight hour.
Summer Sutton sat on the sofa, feeling somewhat uneasy.
This was her second time spending the night with Adrian Walyon; the first time, nothing happened because she fell asleep early.
This time, she wasn’t sure if she’d be so lucky.
A few minutes later, Adrian came out of the bathroom, leaving it for her.
Summer Sutton went in to wash, but when she came out, she was still wearing the same clothes as before, not the hotel’s bathrobe.
She even put on Adrian’s coat, wrapping herself tightly.
"I sleep quite restlessly, you know that. I’m afraid of troubling you if we sleep together," she said, slowly walking over to him, thinking of every excuse for them to sleep separately.
"How about I sleep on the sofa tonight?" She grabbed a pillow and was about to head towards the sofa when her wrist was suddenly grabbed by Adrian.
Summer Sutton was stunned, turning her head in surprise to look at him. Adrian suddenly increased his grip on her, tossing her onto the bed, his tall body pressing down, pushing her onto the large bed behind.
"Isn’t Miss Sutton too naive?" He was about to marry her; would he allow her to sleep on the sofa?
He was forceful, like a fierce beast, aggressive and straightforward. Summer Sutton’s head hit the bed, causing her pain.
His lips searched for hers, and as he kissed her, Adrian deftly began to remove her clothes.
His kiss was like volcanic lava, scorching hot, a stark contrast to the aura he usually exuded, so dominating that Summer Sutton found it hard to breathe.
Summer Sutton felt like she was engulfed in flames, her whole body about to ignite.
She had never been kissed like this before; the feeling was too unfamiliar, her head felt dizzy, momentarily disoriented.
She came back to her senses with a sudden chill on her skin.
At some point, her dress had been ripped away by Adrian.
Summer Sutton’s face flushed, and before he could make any more moves, she hurriedly pulled the sheet over herself, blocking herself, "Wait!"
Adrian raised an eyebrow at her, waiting for her to speak further.
