Adrian Walyon handed the card to the waitress, motioning for her to swipe it.

Summer Sutton didn’t have enough money, and there was no other option, so he had to cover the meal for now.

While they were strolling, they passed a jewelry store on the street. Summer Sutton looked at the watches displayed in the window and found them beautiful, so she went inside.

She picked one that she thought looked nice and was within the limits of her wallet. After the staff took it out, she put it on Adrian Walyon’s wrist.

"Does it look good?" She asked after securing the watch strap for him.

She and Adrian Walyon shared a similar taste; they both didn’t like overly complicated things, preferring simple designs as the best.

The watch she chose was the same, without any particularly fancy embellishments, just a basic model that was timelessly appealing.

Adrian Walyon stared at it for a while and softly replied, "Yes."

"Then this one it is!" Summer Sutton turned to the salesperson with a smile, "Please wrap it up for me."

"Certainly, miss." The staff led her to the counter, took out a jewelry box, and wrapped it beautifully for her.

After paying, Summer Sutton walked out of the store with Adrian Walyon and handed him the gift bag, "It’s for you! To make up for the missed meal."

Adrian Walyon quietly stared at the gift bag in his hand, his gaze warm.

A watch worth more than five thousand was nothing to him, but he knew what it meant to her.

Summer Sutton was still a student, and her only source of income was part-time jobs, which couldn’t pay much.

Adrian Walyon put the gift bag away, took her hand in his, and they continued their walk, "Is there anywhere else you’d like to take me?"

When Summer Sutton led Adrian Walyon inside, the household staff seemed a bit emotional upon seeing her.

The old butler stared at her for a long time, scrutinizing her before tremblingly uttering three words, "Young Miss..."

The familiar address made Summer Sutton feel sentimental.
