CHAPTER 293: CHAPTER 293: WANT TO BATHE IN THE LAKE
There comes a time when luck runs out completely. Gina Sutton didn’t believe that Summer Sutton could always be lucky.
Adrian Walyon gave a speech on stage for more than ten minutes and returned to Summer Sutton afterward.
Tonight, at the school anniversary, there were a lot of people. Summer Sutton and Adrian Walyon stayed at the banquet for quite a while.
It wasn’t until past ten in the evening that they left the venue together in a car.
Because of the previous drugging incident, Adrian Walyon wouldn’t let Summer Sutton touch any food in such a chaotic place, so when they left, Summer’s stomach was still empty, having eaten nothing all night.
"What do you want to eat? Hubby is taking you out!" Adrian asked while driving.
"Barbecue." Summer suggested with a bright smile.
"Sure." Adrian glanced at her lovingly.
Although he actually didn’t like going to noisy places like food stalls or barbecue shops, he didn’t object to Summer’s suggestion.
When they got there, they ordered two bottles of beer and a bunch of barbecues. Summer suddenly felt like having a drink today.
She just wanted to see how much she could drink. After two beers, she didn’t feel much, so she had two more.
She still didn’t seem to be getting drunk, so she poured two more.
Adrian sat across from her, giving her a meaningful look.
"Does drinking make it more romantic?" he teased lazily.
He was referring to doing those things.
Summer lifted her face and smiled charmingly at him, "What are you thinking?"
She must have been a little tipsy; otherwise, she wouldn’t have such a coquettish expression.
"You really don’t know what I’m thinking?" Adrian supported himself, leaning his handsome face towards her and gently breathing on her face.
"No idea." Summer shook her head, pretending not to understand.
"No problem, you’ll understand when we get back." Adrian curled his lips into a seductive smile.
They hadn’t finished the pile of food on the table, and Summer was battling her beloved grilled meatballs.
She stabbed at one but missed, and tried again.
Adrian couldn’t watch anymore and picked one up to feed it to her lips.
He watched her eat it and then fed her some other stuff too.
"By the way, has Gina Sutton been giving you trouble lately?" he asked while feeding her.
"No, she came directly to me, but she couldn’t take advantage of me," Summer shook her head.
Out in the open, Gina never got the better of her even once.
The times Summer suffered were because she couldn’t match Gina’s unscrupulousness.
"Make sure she doesn’t take advantage of you in the dark, either. Understand?" Adrian cautioned her.
"I’ll be more vigilant."
They stayed at the barbecue shop for over an hour, and it was quite late by the time they headed back.
Summer felt like she wasn’t drunk, but she wobbled as they walked.
While walking with Adrian in the villa garden, she almost stumbled into the lake.
Adrian timely wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close.
"Thinking of taking a dip in the lake?" His dark eyes focused on her, twinkling like stars.
Summer stared at him blankly, as if not comprehending his words.
Adrian scanned her eyebrows and eyes, gazing intensely at her for a while, then slowly, he whispered, "If you want, I can join you!"
Summer blinked, seemingly seriously considering his words.
She pondered for a long time, her serious look amusing Adrian.
