CHAPTER 45: CHAPTER 45: I’M NOT SHAMELESS, IT’S YOU WHO SHOULD BE ANXIOUS

Adrian laughed coldly at her words instead of getting angry, "If I’m not shameless towards you, that’s when you should be worried!"

Summer rolled her eyes at him.

What’s it got to do with her?

Tonight, Adrian was determined to have her, and he moved swiftly when he started undressing Summer.

With just a few moves, he had her stripped clean.

Summer lay stiffly beneath him, hesitating whether she should continue to resist or reluctantly endure, when suddenly, the sound of a ringing phone interrupted from the room.

It was Adrian’s.

The vibration kept buzzing repeatedly, suggesting the caller had something important.

Adrian glanced towards his phone with a slightly displeased look.

Following his gaze, Summer caught sight of the name flashing on the phone screen, and she reminded him, "It’s your mom."

She looked at him cautiously, with a hint of schadenfreude in her eyes.

Adrian’s plans were interrupted, making him feel reluctant to answer, but he worried Diana might have something crucial to convey.

He pulled the sheet over her, wrapping her up completely, "Wait for me!"

Picking up the clothes from the floor and throwing them on, he slowly stepped towards the sofa chair and picked up the phone.

"What’s up?" His words were painfully terse, even though he was speaking with his mother.

Diana said over the phone, "Adrian, Jimmy Evans is back, can you go pick him up?"

Summer was not far from Adrian, she leaned slightly in his direction, quietly listening to his call.

Summer was not intrigued by his privacy; she just wanted to know if this unexpected call could help alleviate her predicament.

Jimmy Evans?

Who?

She had no idea who Jimmy Evans was, as mentioned by Diana, but Adrian’s initial dark expression eased a lot upon hearing the name.

Seeing him like this made Summer secretly delighted.

The person mentioned in the call was practically her savior!

Adrian replied, "I understand, I’ll go," and after hanging up, he turned to find Summer watching him intently.

"Heading out?" She asked, a slight smile curling her lips.

"Yeah." Adrian responded to her.

"I’ll accompany you!" Summer seemed quite pleased, sliding off the bed, dressing herself, and energetically exiting the room ahead of him.

Adrian followed behind her, but after taking the call, his expression darkened again.

Does she want him to leave so badly?

Summer didn’t look back at him, her steps lively, reaching the front door alongside him, watching him get into the car. Before he started the engine, she asked again with concern, "Are you coming back tonight?"

"Probably not," Adrian replied.

"Really?" Summer’s eyes lit up again, barely containing her joy.

Her expression showed no sign of hiding.

How much she didn’t want to be around him was clearly written on her face.

Adrian inhaled deeply, his facial lines froze into shards of ice.

Summer probably realized she overdid it and quickly composed her expression, waving at him, "Drive safely?"

"Wait till I come back!" Adrian shot her a cold glance, and roared the engine.

Summer stood outside the door, watching the car drive away, only letting out a long breath once the vehicle vanished from sight.

In truth, having already moved into Adrian’s villa, Summer didn’t expect to evade him forever.

Adrian wanting her was only a matter of time; she was just buying herself a bit more time.
