Chapter 52: I Just Like Her Like This
CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 52: I JUST LIKE HER LIKE THIS
Summer Sutton knew that once she went upstairs, nothing good was waiting for her, and she felt a bit conflicted inside.
Hesitating again and again, she ultimately followed him upstairs.
Adrian Walyon walked ahead, entered the master bedroom, and glanced at her in the hallway.
Summer Sutton took a deep breath, and just as she was about to step in, Adrian suddenly grabbed her arm, pulled her into his embrace, and pressed his tall body against her.
Pinning her against the wall behind her, his gaze was fierce, "I’m out of my mind?"
His body was pressed so tightly against hers that it was uncomfortable, like a fire burning in her stomach. "That’s just what Sophie thinks."
"Frigid?" He spat out each word with gritted teeth.
"I didn’t say that!" Summer Sutton was not used to this closeness, her face incredibly uneasy.
"I think, during this time, I’ve been a bit indifferent to you!" Adrian’s fingers pinched her delicate chin, his cold voice blasting in her ear, "For the harmony of our marital life, this needs to change!"
Summer Sutton looked at him in disbelief, her face turning pale with shock.
She’d only been living in Sutton Gardens for less than a week, and in such a short time, she’d already understood him inside and out.
Except for the last step, they had done everything they were supposed to, and not just once.
If this is what he called being cold to her, what kind of state would she be in if he weren’t?
Summer Sutton was truly frightened by him, her hand placed on his chest, she gave him a little push, "But I think our life is harmonious as it is, this is quite good."
"Is it?" Adrian’s handsome face moved closer to her, targeting her lips.
He gently pecked and then bit and rubbed heavily, "Seems like Miss Sutton is satisfied with our trial marriage?"
Summer Sutton didn’t expect he’d say something like that, and for a moment, she didn’t know how to respond.
If she said she was satisfied, would he speed up the marriage process?
If she said she wasn’t satisfied, would he intensify things every night just to please her?
Summer Sutton felt like she’d unknowingly fallen into his trap again, racking her brain but unable to think of the right answer.
Her eyes darted around and, seeing his wristwatch, she used the excuse of having class to evade his topic, "I’m almost late; I should go to school now!"
Pushing him aside, she turned and headed downstairs.
She disappeared quickly, nearly fleeing in panic, as if terrified he’d pursue the question further.
Adrian coldly curled his lips, following her downstairs and out the villa door with her.
It was already late, but he still drove Summer Sutton to school.
Outside the classroom building, they ran into Gina Sutton.
Upon seeing Adrian Walyon, Gina instantly turned into a well-behaved girl.
With lowered brow and gentle eyes, she eagerly greeted Adrian, "Young Master Walyon, you’re here too!"
Adrian ignored her and instead turned his head to remind Summer Sutton, "Wait for me after class, don’t play any tricks. If last night’s incident happens again, I won’t be as nice."
Gina quietly listened to him, knowing that Summer Sutton must have provoked Adrian last night. She smiled subtly and chimed in, "She’s just always been so tactless!"
Adrian turned his head, glanced at her, and without a trace of expression on his face, said, "I just like her being so tactless!"
