CHAPTER 559: CHAPTER 559: ON-SET ACCIDENT

The middle-aged woman turned her head to look at her, moving her lips as if wanting to say something.

But perhaps out of some concern, she struggled with herself and eventually held back.

Shaking her head, she smiled a bit, pulling at the corners of her mouth. "It’s nothing, I was just passing by and saw a film crew here, so I thought I’d join the fun and take a look."

Summer Sutton clearly didn’t believe her words, she kept staring at her, still sizing her up.

With such good demeanor, she didn’t resemble a gossiping person at all.

The middle-aged woman seemed somewhat awkward and glanced at her phone unnaturally, raising her face, "Do you work here? That’s great, you’re young, keep striving. I have some things to do, so I’ll leave for now. See you when there’s a chance."

Turning her head, she took a step forward and then looked back at Summer Sutton again, her gaze appearing somewhat reluctant.

Summer Sutton had only met her twice and had no idea about her identity, just felt that this woman seemed rather friendly.

Not thinking much of it, after the middle-aged woman left, she strode into the film set.

Summer Sutton had just gotten up and arrived at the set, walking inside, her face was rosy, the flush from last night hadn’t completely faded, and there were several strawberry marks intentionally left by Adrian on her neck.

Summer Sutton hadn’t looked in the mirror this morning, so naturally, she didn’t know about them.

As she walked through the set, her demeanor was calm and composed, with no hint of covering up.

Thus, as she walked by, she attracted countless glances.

There were many around who observed her, almost all staring at the strawberries on her neck, their eyes full of envy.

How could Summer Sutton have the time to care about this group?

Upon arrival, she headed straight towards Ariella Sawyer.

Ariella Sawyer was suspended on a high-wire, filming a falling stunt scene.

Summer Sutton raised her head to look at her up in the air, standing uneasily next to the staff, wondering if she might be able to help her somehow.

Lorraine Hughes was also nearby, holding a mirror to touch up her makeup.

Through the mirror, she saw Summer Sutton behind her, her gaze lingered slightly on Summer’s neck before moving away.

Summer Sutton continued to watch Ariella.

Today in Northtown, the sun was out, and it was approaching noon. Even though it was winter, without clouds covering, when one looked straight up at the sky, the sunlight was still a bit glaring.

The staff responsible for operating the high-wire had already been staring at Ariella for quite a while, and their eyes seemed a bit uncomfortable.

Summer Sutton quietly watched on from the side, her heart slightly lifted.

Filming continued.

Ariella Sawyer prepared herself, about to commence shooting formally.

"Ready, jump!" The director’s voice came from behind.

The spot where Ariella Sawyer stood was rather high, and she was actually a bit scared.

However, as an artist, such high-wire acts were too common, even if there was fear, she had to be impressed.

After the director gave the order, she jumped toward the ground.

The high-wire operated normally under the staff’s control.

Yet, less than a second after Ariella jumped, an unexpected event occurred.

No one knew from where a swarm of bees suddenly flew out at the scene, buzzing around the staff controlling the high-wire, unwilling to leave.

The staff’s vision and attention were disturbed, instinctively backing away several steps, trying to wave the bees away.

At that moment, they clearly forgot about Ariella Sawyer still suspended on the high-wire.

With their attention diverted and their hands loosened, Ariella Sawyer lost her balance up in the air and fell towards the ground...
