CHAPTER 566: CHAPTER 566: RYAN WALYON, WHERE ARE YOU

Ryan Walyon’s gaze slowly turned towards her, fixedly staring at her.

He seemed to be trying to recognize who she was, his gaze lingering on her face for quite a while.

Ariella Sawyer was taken aback by his stare.

Ryan Walyon was still looking at her, his brows knitted tightly. Despite having met him so many times, he acted as if he didn’t know her.

This behavior made Ariella’s heart skip a beat.

It seemed he was quite drunk.

Their car happened to pass by a supermarket, and noticing that Ryan was quite uncomfortable, Ariella took the initiative to stop the car, opened the door, and got out.

"I’ll buy you some hangover medicine. Wait for me in the car; I’ll be back soon." She walked forward a few steps briskly, then turned her head to emphasize, "Don’t wander off! Wait for me to come back!"

Ryan propped up his head and looked at her outside. Just one glance, then his body slumped heavily back against the seat.

It was unclear whether he heard what Ariella said, as he didn’t respond.

Seeing him intoxicated like that, Ariella was indeed worried that he might wander off when she came out.

She quickened her pace and ran straight into the supermarket.

After circling around the supermarket and asking the salesperson about the location of hangover medicine, she checked out and quickly ran back out.

Her movements were swift, running the whole way without any pause.

However, when she came back, she found the car empty!

Ryan Walyon was gone!

Standing outside the car in a daze, Ariella looked around but couldn’t find a trace of him. She panicked.

What should she do now?

She had personally witnessed how much Ryan drank tonight.

If he couldn’t even recognize her, could she expect him to find his way home?

Tonight, it was Summer Sutton who asked her to bring Ryan home safely. If anything happened to him, how could she explain it?

Considering Ryan’s status, if he were to collapse by the roadside, it might make the news the next day, or worse, be targeted by ill-intentioned people for ransom. What would they do then?

For a moment, Ariella’s mind raced with thoughts, growing more anxious the more she thought about it.

Placing the medicine in the car, she anxiously ran down the street, looking for him.

"Ryan Walyon!" she called out worriedly as she ran, "Where are you?"

"Ryan Walyon! Can you hear my voice?"

"Ryan Walyon, answer me!"

After running in one direction for a while without finding him, Ariella changed direction.

Her biggest worry was that Ryan, drunk as he was, might not be safe walking alone.

If he were to bump into a car or fall into a roadside river, it would be disastrous.

"Ryan Walyon!"

She searched back and forth along the road where the car was parked several times but still couldn’t find him. In desperation, Ariella squatted on the roadside, clutching her head, unsure of what to do.

Just as she was about to call for help, a heavy breathing sound suddenly emerged from the direction behind the car.

Ariella felt like she had been struck hard. She slowly stood up, following the sound, and went around the car trunk to investigate.

When she got there, she found the man she had been searching for over close to half an hour sitting limply on the ground, leaning against the car door, eyes heavily closed as if he had fallen asleep.

He was sitting on the roadside, with so many cars passing by.

Ryan Walyon just sat there as if oblivious to the vehicles coming and going around him.

Ariella had been searching for him back and forth along the pedestrian path. Ryan’s body was blocked by the car, so Ariella hadn’t seen him.
