CHAPTER 581: CHAPTER 581: WHAT WAS MISSED LAST NIGHT, WE’LL MAKE UP FOR IT
"I tried the cake too, and finished it all. My wife made it, and the taste is just different." Adrian Walyon glanced at her, still observing her reaction.
Summer Sutton wasn’t sure if she was listening to him, holding a fork in her left hand and a knife in her right, quietly eating the meat on her plate.
After a few bites of the food the servant had just brought over, she picked up the white wine next to her to drink, but her wrist was pressed down by Adrian.
"I came back late last night, missed the celebration time. Shouldn’t we make up for it today?"
Raising his own wine glass, Adrian clinked it with hers, wrapping his arm around hers, lifted his face, and drank all the wine from his glass.
Summer just watched as his arm entangled with hers, not drinking the wine.
Adrian was doing the cross-cupped wine ceremony.
On their wedding night, he didn’t drink cross-cupped wine with her. Now that they were making up for it, would she dare not to drink?
Adrian stared at her stiff hand that hadn’t moved, squinting his eyes slowly as his gaze suddenly turned dangerous.
If she dared not to drink this wine...
Adrian seriously thought about what he should do if she didn’t drink.
Summer noticed his gaze suddenly turned cold, quite sharp, thinking that he might hit someone.
But to her surprise, when she took too long to drink, Adrian stood up with a swoosh, pressing her hand with the wine glass down with his large hand, drank her wine, leaned across the table towards her, and, holding her delicate chin with his fingertips, kissed her lips.
He transferred all the wine in his mouth to her, watching as her eyebrows furrowed in displeasure, he smiled gently, curling the corners of his lips.
"If you won’t drink, I’ll help you." With a charming curve at the corners of his lips, he sat back down in his seat.
Summer felt he was particularly shameless, glaring at him angrily for a while, slamming down the meat on her plate, ignoring him and continuing to eat her own meal.
Adrian brought her out today to make up for last night.
Last night, she had prepared a lot for him, even stayed up all night for a gift, yet he had stood her up.
Adrian felt very guilty about her efforts, so he brought Summer out today, initially wanting to use dinner to mend the atmosphere between them, but unexpectedly, Summer didn’t argue, didn’t fuss, and was unwilling to even talk to him.
Adrian felt particularly helpless.
During the meal, his fingertips lightly tapped the table, suddenly not knowing what to do.
Women are incredibly hard to appease!
The English butler was still standing nearby, watching with a smile, seemingly whispering something to him.
They spoke in English, and as a Film Academy student, Summer wasn’t from a language major, her English was a bit clumsy, she didn’t understand a word of their conversation.
After the butler finished speaking to Adrian, he stood aside with a smile, continuing to cut vegetables for Summer.
Following dinner, Adrian’s mood seemed to have improved quite a bit, the corners of his lips even curving up in delight from time to time.
Summer suspiciously watched him over and over, unable to figure out the reason behind his sudden change of mood.
The dinner on the yacht took a bit longer than usual.
After finishing dinner, Adrian showed no intention of leaving, and pulled her towards the deck.
Summer had just stepped onto the stairs when a strong fragrance of flowers hit her nose.
Upon reaching the deck and witnessing everything on it, her gaze was frozen in place...
