CHAPTER 593: CHAPTER 593: REENACTMENT OF EVENTS FROM 1 YEAR AGO
"Adrian, do you even know what you’re doing?" Diana walked over to them in a few steps, pushing Adrian towards the corner.
"Today is your grandfather’s birthday, do you not understand what kind of day it is? I’m warning you, no messing around! Do you hear me! If you dare make trouble at such an important event today, I’m not done with you!" Her hand pressed firmly on his shoulder as Diana furiously warned him.
"Do I look like I’m causing trouble, or does Madam Walyon seem more like it?" Adrian replied softly, pushing her away and striding towards Summer’s direction.
"Adrian, I’ve told you so much, are you not listening?" Diana hurriedly caught up, grabbed his hand, and tried to push him aside.
Adrian cast a calm glance at her hand and mocked coolly, "Madam Walyon, mind your image, there’s so many people here, don’t act like a shrew."
"Who are you calling a shrew?" Diana’s face instantly froze.
Adrian ignored her, pried open her hand, and headed straight towards Summer Sutton.
"Adrian!" Diana gritted her teeth in anger, but recalling what he had just described, she swallowed all the prepared retorts.
Taking several deep breaths, Diana sat back in her chair, poured herself a cup of tea, and gulped it down.
Her chest was filled with frustration, futilely trying to ease the tension.
Her gaze drifted along Adrian’s direction, quietly staring at him.
Ever since Summer Sutton appeared, Diana’s heart had been on edge.
Afraid that the Old Master, upon seeing her, would angrily argue with Adrian in front of so many people.
The grandfather-grandson relationship had barely eased over this year.
If there’s a rift again today, Diana might genuinely suffer a heart attack.
Tonight is such an important occasion, Ryan Walyon is present.
Standing amidst the guests, he is socializing on behalf of the Old Master.
Catching sight of Summer Sutton over here, Ryan froze for a moment.
Guests were still chatting, one of Ryan’s uncles.
"Ryan, do you have someone you like? When are you planning to get married?"
Relatives often enjoy asking young people similar topics upon meeting, and this uncle was no exception.
Ryan seemed not to hear, his eyes still on Summer Sutton’s face.
Summer Sutton, led by Adrian, was walking toward the Old Master.
Since the person has been brought back, Adrian clearly doesn’t plan to conceal anything, openly leading her to meet the elder.
The Old Master’s face remained stern, his expression severe.
Back when Summer Sutton left, she was in a sorry state, everyone in the Walyon family knew.
Now Adrian’s relationship with the Old Master isn’t entirely reconciled, and the Old Master hasn’t agreed to Summer’s return.
Yet tonight, Adrian has brought her back just like that.
Ryan is somewhat worried Summer will be hurt again, staring at her, he strides towards their direction.
"Ryan! Ryan!" The relative chatting with him was left hanging, extremely embarrassed.
Ryan paid no attention, still moving towards where the Old Master was.
He was walking quickly, as if afraid that a year ago’s scenario might replay on Summer Sutton.
There are so many people present today, if the Old Master were to publicly drive Summer out, where would she, as a girl, put her dignity?
How would everyone view her in the future?
