CHAPTER 66: CHAPTER 66 ADRIAN WALYON, I’M COLD...
The knife point was aimed right at the hand Gina Sutton had just splashed Summer Sutton with.
Gina Sutton turned pale, her heart almost stopping from fear.
She retreated a few steps in panic, narrowly avoiding being directly hit by the knife point, though her skin was still grazed slightly.
Gina Sutton was truly frightened, staring at her hand for quite a while in shock, before running out of the restaurant in tears.
She didn’t really know Adrian Walyon - this was her first encounter with his terrifying side!
Zoe Baxter and Iris Watson saw the situation and immediately rushed over.
"Summer, are you okay?" Zoe Baxter turned Summer Sutton around and looked at her.
Summer Sutton shook her head, "I’m fine."
"That’s good! That’s good!" Zoe Baxter let out a sigh of relief.
...
Summer Sutton went to the restroom to compose herself, and when she came out, Adrian Walyon was sitting in her previous seat.
He must have been invited by Zoe Baxter and Iris Watson.
Summer Sutton gave him a teasing look, annoyed that he hadn’t refused.
She walked over to him in a few steps, sat down next to him, and stayed with Zoe Baxter and Iris Watson for a while.
Zoe Baxter knew about Summer Sutton’s engagement to Adrian Walyon.
After Adrian Walyon took his seat, he toasted with her, "In the future, our Summer will rely on you for care!"
Adrian Walyon responded softly with a "Hmm" and drank the wine.
His wife, soon to be part of the Walyon Family, could he not take care of her?
After returning, Summer Sutton also drank two small glasses.
She was never good with alcohol, and she was already slightly tipsy before. With another two glasses, her head was beginning to feel out of control.
When leaving, it was Adrian Walyon who carried her out of the restaurant.
Summer Sutton nestled in his arms, thinking of how he had just stood up for her, feeling a warmth inside.
"I was planning to call you after the gathering, didn’t expect you to come halfway through." Chatting idly, Summer Sutton started a conversation with him.
She carried a faint fragrance, the scent of Blue Bell flowers, the smell from the bath gel prepared for her by the villa’s servants.
A very fresh floral scent, so fresh it made one want to bury their nose deeply into her and inhale.
"Hmm." Adrian Walyon responded to her.
Recalling the scene he bumped into upon arrival, he asked, "Does Gina Sutton often cause you trouble?"
Gina Sutton didn’t just often bother Summer Sutton.
It’s been ongoing from childhood till now!
She didn’t speak, but Adrian Walyon already knew the answer.
"Are you silly or not? Now that someone has your back, don’t you know how to push back?" He tapped her forehead lightly with a stern expression.
Summer Sutton could have handled today’s situation by herself, but he happened to show up.
Knowing he was protecting her, she didn’t argue, "Got it."
Adrian Walyon carried her to his car, took her back to the villa, holding Summer Sutton all the way inside. As the alcohol effects kicked in, she became a bit restless in his embrace.
The servants had all gone to sleep, and after ten o’clock, Sutton Gardens had only Summer Sutton and Adrian Walyon.
Summer Sutton’s dress was wet, the thin fabric becoming slightly translucent.
Adrian Walyon glanced at her, his gaze pausing.
"Adrian Walyon, I’m a bit cold." She instinctively snuggled closer into his embrace, wrapping her arms around him.
It was already late autumn, the temperature had long since cooled.
She was lightly dressed, so of course she’d feel cold.
"Do you want me to warm you up?" Adrian Walyon’s gaze was deep.
Summer Sutton lifted her face to look at him, her clear eyes bewildered.
Without further explanation, Adrian Walyon sped up, carrying her directly upstairs once inside the house...
