CHAPTER 70: CHAPTER 70: IS THE BATHTUB BIG ENOUGH

Emilia Sutton was brought to the disciplinary office and locked in a dimly lit room.

She initially thought she would be lectured.

But after being locked up for a few hours, the security guard who had brought her there earlier respectfully escorted her out again.

"Miss Sutton, it was all our fault. We didn’t understand the situation beforehand. Please don’t hold it against us!" The security guard repeatedly apologized, his attitude towards her dramatically changed.

Emilia had a hunch that Adrian Walyon must have helped her.

Sure enough, after leaving the disciplinary office, she saw Adrian.

Adrian stood in front of a maple tree, surrounded by a sky full of red leaves.

His gaze fell upon her, scrutinizing her from head to toe.

Emilia walked towards him and confessed honestly, "I hit Gina."

Adrian didn’t even ask about the cause of their conflict, merely stating indifferently, "Well done!"

Emilia looked at him in disbelief.

"It’s Grandpa’s birthday tonight; you must come back with me," Adrian didn’t probe further, taking her hand and leading her to the car.

It was still early, around four o’clock, so he first took Emilia back to the villa to change into clean clothes.

Emilia actually didn’t want to go to the Walyon Family, but given her current status, it seemed she had to appear on such an occasion tonight.

They arrived at the Walyon family mansion at five thirty.

The Walyon Family disliked being ostentatious, so only close relations were invited to the Old Master’s birthday banquet.

However, Gina’s family also came.

When Emilia walked in with Adrian, she saw Gina’s family of three.

The three of them sat next to Diana Wood, chatting with her.

In front of the elders, Gina was extremely well-behaved, with the demeanor of a young lady, completely different from her confrontational manner with Emilia.

Diana noticed the five-finger mark on her face and frowned, "Gina, what happened to your face?"

Gina didn’t speak but directed her gaze towards Emilia, who had just entered the room.

With just a look, Diana’s face darkened immediately.

She never had a good impression of Emilia, and now she was hitting people?

Emilia was already used to Gina’s tattling, having experienced it more than once.

Her reaction was calm, but Adrian’s face showed displeasure.

Before Diana could question her, he stated expressionlessly, "I approved it!"

"Adrian Walyon!" Diana reprimanded him in a low voice.

"Would the Second Young Miss Sutton like to also explain why Summer hit you?" Adrian walked towards her step by step, looking at her intently, with a chilling gaze, "Speak clearly! If you utter one wrong word, you’re falsely accusing my soon-to-be wife!"

"I, I..." Gina, feeling flustered under his gaze, shifted her eyes nervously and stood up awkwardly, "I’m feeling a bit stuffy. I’ll go for a walk!"

Adrian glanced at her retreating figure, his lips curled coldly.

He was ruthless enough to make Gina unable to sit still here with just a few words.

Emilia shot him a look of admiration.

Impressive! As expected, everyone meets their match!

It was still early for dinner, and the guests hadn’t really arrived yet.

Adrian grabbed Emilia’s hand and led her upstairs, "Let me show you my room!"

Show... his room?

Emilia followed him stiffly.

What’s there to see in a room?

To see how big his bathtub is, or if the bed is wide enough, and if it’s fit for two people to roll around?

Emilia instinctively felt that Adrian had no good intentions taking her to his room.
