Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Divorce Agreement (5) Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Divorce Agreement (5) “…” Joyce wanted to say something, but Bryan Hawkins’ phone rang. Seeing that Bryan clearly expected her to leave before he answered the call, Joyce had no choice but to go first.
The call was from Bryan’s grandmother, asking him to come home for dinner after work. Bryan agreed, and his grandmother hesitated for a moment on the other end of the phone. She originally wanted him to deceive Carolline Ruiz into coming too, but in the end, she said nothing and hung up.
Bryan actually understood the unstated message from his grandmother and thought of Carolline, who unhesitatingly planned to divorce him, which made him extremely depressed.
Until the end of the workday, except for Xavier Estrada occasionally entering Bryan’s office room, no one else took the initiative to come in. Everyone just wanted to work quietly and avoid becoming cannon fodder.
The low-pressure atmosphere in the Hawkins Family only temporarily subsided after Bryan left work on time.
What would happen tomorrow was an unknown for all the staff of the Hawkins Family.

After having breakfast, Carolline left the villa. Although she was in a bad mood, she couldn’t let it affect her child, so she made sure to eat well not only for breakfast but also for other meals.
After leaving the villa, she went straight home and asked Emily Hill to cook her some delicious dishes. Emily was puzzled, wondering why Carolline was in such a good mood today. Carolline simply said she was craving the dishes.
Emily was naturally happy and went out to buy ingredients according to Carolline’s recipe.
Carolline loved sour food, so she requested Sweet and Sour Ribs, Hot and Sour Bean Sprout Soup, and Tomato Scrambled Eggs. When Henry Ruiz came home for dinner, he complained a little, “Why are all the dishes sweet and sour?”
He could reluctantly accept the sourness, but the Sweet and Sour Ribs were sweet, and the Tomato Scrambled Eggs had some sugar added by Emily as well; otherwise, they would have been too sour to eat.
“Your daughter specifically asked for these dishes today.” Emily didn’t care about his opinion; since giving birth to Carolline, she had become Emily’s top priority, and Henry was relegated to second place.
“…Really?” Henry chuckled and watched Carolline eat bowl after bowl of rice with Sweet and Sour Ribs, including two large bowls and also drank two bowls of sour soup. Seeing her eat so happily and contentedly, Henry, as a father, naturally wouldn’t say anything more.
After lunch, Carolline went to take a nap. Since learning about her pregnancy yesterday, she had learned a lot about pregnancy through her phone. She needed to eat well, sleep well, and maintain a regular schedule—she would make sure to go to bed no later than 10 pm from now on.
After washing the dishes, Emily came out to chat with Henry, who was sitting on the sofa watching afternoon news, “Have you noticed anything different about Carolline?”
“Isn’t she behaving well? Why are you always overthinking things?” Henry frowned, thinking that Carolline seemed fine.
“You men are always so careless and don’t know anything.” Emily complained lightly, having just noticed something herself and growing increasingly uneasy as she thought about it.
Perhaps it was because Carolline’s behavior was so normal that even Emily couldn’t find solid evidence to support her suspicion.
Carolline slept until dinnertime. During dinner, she didn’t wait for Emily to initiate the conversation and instead proposed staying overnight at home. Emily, of course, readily agreed.
Henry didn’t say much either. After dinner, Carolline went for a walk on her own. Emily wanted to accompany her but was not allowed to do so.
Carolline went for a walk alone and met Mia Parker, who had arrived home punctually for a rare occasion. Looking haggard, Mia saw Carolline and smiled like a blooming flower.
