Renee intended to resist, but the kiss overwhelmed her with its intensity.
Marcelo’s expertise made it feel as though he was drawing every breath from her lungs, sapping her will to
resist.
The embrace was powerful, enduring, and stirred a tum lt of emotions within her.
Renee endeavored to push back, yet the man before her was the secret holder of her unvoiced affection, the love she had concealed deep within her heart.
By the time the kiss ended, her legs trembled with weakness, leaving her to scorn her body’s betrayal.
Breathless, Renee finally mustered the strength to confront him, hissing, “Marcelo, this is a school!”
“Should we find another locationb, /bthen?” He responded, nonchntly, his thumb brushing away the trace bof /btheir kiss from the corner of her mouth, unaffected by the setting.
He had observed several couples engaging in passionate exchanges just outside for the past two nights.
The seclusion offered by the nearby bushes made them less visible to onlookers.
Seizing the moment to distance herselfb, /bRenee’s eyes burned with indignation.
Taking a deep breath topose herself, she dered, “If you’re more interested in mocking me than discussing our divorce, then there’s nothing left for us to talk about, Marcelo!”
With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Marcelo behind.
Marvin had already left, and Sarah waited for Renee nearby.
As Renee approached, Sarah gestured subtly towards the convenience store, revealing that Renee had inadvertently chosen a spot right between the checkout counter and arge tree for their confrontation.

The cashier, witnessing Renee’s approach, mped a hand over her mouth to stifle a scream,
shocked.
Overwhelmed with embarrassment, Renee covered her face. Then, apanied by Sarah, she ventured into the convenience store to purchase sandwiches.
As Renee paid, the cashier couldn’t contain her excitement. “Don’t worry, I didn’t see a thing! I won’t tell a soul! The man who brought byou /bmilk teast night was the one who kissed you just now. Your boyfriend is so handsome!b” /b
Renee was left speechless by the cashier’s contradictory assurance.
Didn’t she say she saw nothing?

Chapter 200 To change her mind
“Renee.” Howard greeted her in a hushed tone and took a seat diagonally opposite her.
Conversations weren’t suitable in the library, so Renee sent a W******p message to Howard. “Thank you for the coffee. You don’t have to bring it to me next time. It’s such a hassle.”
Howard replied, “It’s no hassle. You don’t need to be so formal with me.”
After responding to the message, Howard set his phone aside and focused on his book.
Renee refrained from discussing the matter further, not wanting to interrupt his reading.
While contemting the coffee in front of her, she couldn’t help but sense that Howard was treating her differently.
Before she could fully process this, a slightmotion arose around her.
A man in a white shirt and a khaki windbreaker entered. Even without the suit, he exuded an air of someone
about to make financial headlines.
Marcelo approached a seat opposite Renée and asked the woman sitting there, “Could you please switch seats with me?”
His voice was deep and maic. The woman’s face turned crimson upon hearing him, and she promptly grabbed her book, standing to vacate her seat for him.
Marcelo sat down, nonchntly.
The woman then realized something and thought to herself, “Switch seats? But where should I go? This handsome guy doesn’t have a seat, does he?”
Shocked, Renee furrowed her brows and stared at Marcelo.
What was he doing here?
He was disturbing the library’s organization!
However, Marcelo behaved as if he were an ordinary student, opening a book and pretending to read it attentively.
The students around him eventually settled down and resumed their studies.
asionally, a few people would sneak nces at Marcelo.
While Marcelo appeared engrossed in his book, Renee couldn’t shake the feeling that he was paying undue attention to her.
Feeling ufortable, she shifted in her seat and looked for another vacant spot, intending to move away from him.
But at that moment, Marcelo suddenly raised his head, xing a calm yet piercing gaze on her.
Renee had a strong premonition that if she changed her seat, he would follow her.
What was he ying at?
Increasingly frustratedb, /bRenee found it challenging to concentrate on her work.
Chapter 200 To change her mind
After two hours, she couldn’t bear it any longer and walked out of the library.
Almost simultaneously, Marcelo and Howard also stood up and left.
Most of the other students in the library watched as the three of them left.
The expressions on their faces were one of confusion and intrigue.
“What’s going on between them?”
“Is that handsome guy familiar with Howard? Or is it Renee he’s familiar with?”
“Why do I feel like the aura around those three feels like one of danger? Should we follow them and have a look at what they’re doing? They’re not going outside to fight, are they?”
“Who would have the heart to hit someone with a face like Renee’s?”
Even though the students were very curious about the issue, considering that it was someone else’s private matter and Marcelo looked like someone that should not to be trifled with, none of them followed the trio to see what they were up to.
Meanwhile, Marcelo, after taking a few steps outside the library, nced sideways at Howard who was right beside him.
His eyes looked cold and unfriendly.
“Mr. King, don’t worry. I’m not following you. I’m just looking for Renee,” Howard exined when he saw the hostility in Marcelo’s eyes.
He still couldn’t quite believe that the man walking freely right beside him was the same Marcelo King of the King family who had been confined to a wheelchair for several years.
“Looking for my wife right in my face…do you think that’s an appropriate thing to do?” Marcelo asked with
a sneerb. /b
“Your wife is…” Howard couldn’tplete the sentence He was too taken aback by surprise and disbelief that he almost felt he was dreaming.
Not long ago, he saw it on T*****r, but he had told himself that there were many people whose surname
was Hudson.
“Her name is Renee Hudson,” Marcelo confirmed, crushing what little hope Howard still had.
Shock, crushed hope, disbelief, and a myriad of other emotions swirled in Howard’s eyes, ultimately leading to a sense of resentment.
“For crying out loud, you’re not worthy of her!” he showed in displeasure. “You’re married, but yet, you’re involved with other women. It’s clear that you don’t know how to cherish her!”
Marcelo looked up and down at this young man that was just a few years younger than himself as it he had just told some funny joke.
“How dare you talk to me about being worthy or not?” Marcelo sneered mockingly. “Look, when I was your age, I was already the CEO of KM Group. But look at you what do you have to boast of? You haven’t even been able to take control of your family. Do you think you’re worthy enough to speak in my presence?”

Chapter 200 To change her mind
If they were in attendance at a banquet, the only person that would be qualified to talk to Marcelo would be Howard’s father, who was the head of the family.
Howard wasn’t happy with this rebuke. He clenched and unclenched his fists in anger. He wanted to fire back a retort, but he just couldn’t think of anything that could qualify as an appropriate retort. After all, what Marcelo had said was right.
“But Mr. King…,” he grumbled in displeasure, “Renee has the freedom to make friends. Why can’t I care about her as her friend?”
Marcelo’s eyebrows shot up when he heard this. “So, does that mean you want to care about those intimate things me and my wife do in private?” he retorted.
Howard was taken aback by this unexpected response and his face immediately turned sour.
Even though he knew that Marcelo had deliberately said this to annoy him, he was still shocked by it.

Not far from the library, there was an artificialke.
The moistureden breeze blowing from theke was not enough to calm Renee’s mood.
“Marcelo, what do you want?” she asked in a cold tone the moment she saw him.
“I came to read,” Marcelo calmly replied.
Renee let out a bitterugh. “Since when did Mr. King be interested in Veterinary Pathology, huh?”
Marcelo didn’t know what to say.
He had simply picked up a random book, without first finding out what it was about. No wonder the only things he saw in the book were details about cows, pigs, and sheep.
“I just want you toe back home,” He finally confessed. He really wanted her to change her mind on the issue of divorce.
