Gu Jinxiu said, "Then I’ll go upstairs to prepare a gift for my sister."

Gu Yikun poured water for An Junxi. An Junxi took two sips and Gu Aixi leaned closer, "I want to drink water too."

An Junxi teased her, saying, "This is Mommy’s; ask Daddy to pour for you."

Gu Aixi looked up at Gu Yikun, hesitating to ask. Daddy is really tall!

Gu Yikun softly asked her, "Aixi, do you want to drink water?"

Gu Aixi replied in her childish voice, "I want water."

Gu Yikun poured it into a baby bottle. He carefully tested the temperature to ensure it wasn’t too hot before handing it over.

Gu Aixi hugged the bottle, drinking the water. An Junxi asked, "Daddy poured the water for you; what should you say?"

Gu Aixi said, "Thank you, Daddy."

Gu Yikun’s eyes welled up. He extended his hand, "Come to Daddy for a hug."

Gu Aixi looked at An Junxi. An Junxi said, "Go ahead."

Gu Aixi moved over to Gu Yikun. Clumsily, Gu Yikun genuinely didn’t know how to hold her.

In his arms, the child seemed even smaller. Gu Yikun didn’t dare to hold her too tightly, fearing he might drop her.

Gu Aixi asked, "What about Grandpa and Grandma?"

Gu Yikun held An Junxi’s hand, "You raised our daughter well, Xi Xi. Thank you."

Gu Aixi mimicked her father’s words, "Xi Xi, thank you."

For the first time, An Junxi felt how alike the father and daughter were. She smiled and said, "Aixi is really clever."

Seeing her smile, Gu Yikun smiled too. With his wife and daughter, what more could he ask for?

Over the past two years, he wandered alone. Every night, he lay awake waiting for daylight. Apart from the company’s responsibilities, he didn’t know what else he was living for.

Now, with his wife and daughter beside him, life felt so full.

Aunt He said, "The master ordered to bring them. We brought all your clothes and daily necessities."

Gu Aixi voluntarily called Aunt He, "Grandma." She called everyone about the same age grandma.

Aunt He was overjoyed, "Just call me Aunt He like the young master does."

An Junxi asked, "Where is Jin Xiu?"

Aunt He looked back, "The young master didn’t follow us in."

She walked out into the hallway and pulled Gu Jinxiu into the room. An Junxi noticed he had grown taller but still had a youthful face with quiet and mature eyes.

She walked over, "Jinxiu, let Mom take a look at you."

Gu Jinxiu hugged her waist suddenly, "Mom, I thought you didn’t want us anymore."

An Junxi’s eyes reddened, "How could Mom not want you? Mom told you, she’ll always love you, remember?"

Gu Jinxiu nodded, "I remember."

An Junxi placed her hand on his head, "Mom wouldn’t lie to you. Come, take a look at your sister. Her name is Aixi."

Gu Aixi noticed the item in Gu Jinxiu’s hand, knowing it was for her, she smiled sweetly at him showing her dimples, "Brother." Mom taught her to call brother.

Gu Jinxiu sat beside Gu Aixi, "My sister is so small."

An Junxi said, "You were just like this when you were little. Now you’re an elder brother, you must protect your sister."

Gu Jinxiu nodded solemnly, "I will protect her, no one will bully her."

An Junxi pinched his cheek, "Jinxiu truly is a caring brother."

Aunt He chatted with them for a while. After An Junxi finished eating, she took Gu Jinxiu back.

Gu Jinxiu mentioned he’d bring new toys for his sister tomorrow. An Junxi told him not to bring too many things, "It will spoil her."

Gu Jinxiu replied matter-of-factly, "Sisters are meant to be spoiled."
