CHAPTER 436: CHAPTER 436: THE WOMAN IN THE BED IS NOT AN JUNXI

An Junxi thought it was funny; had Tao Manqiu forgotten that this was the Gu Family? On what basis did she assume the stance of the hostess?

An Junxi, in good temper, followed her out. Gu Kuangyong and Liang Huiyun were meeting Gu Kuangyuan in the tea room, and no one noticed An Junxi’s side.

He Sirui sat outside in the garden, watching from afar as Tao Manqiu led An Junxi to the poolside. She said to Yin Feibai beside her, "Your mother isn’t an easy person to deal with either."

Yin Feibai, drinking in frustration, only noticed his mother’s actions after He Sirui’s reminder. "What does my mother want to do?"

He wanted to go over, but He Sirui stopped him. "Aunt Yin just wants to chat with An Junxi. What’s the rush? Have you forgotten Gu Yikun’s warning?"

Yin Feibai looked at her. "What do you mean?"

He Sirui took a sip of red wine. "Nothing much. I saw President Gu reprimanding you for holding An Junxi’s hand."

Yin Feibai’s face turned dark. "Are you mocking me?"

He Sirui gave a dreamy smile. "No, I’m laughing at myself. If you like An Junxi, go after her. Even if your rival is Gu Yikun, you should still give it a try."

Yin Feibai remained noncommittal. "Of course, you want me to go after her. You just want them to split up."

He Sirui admitted, "Why can’t we work together? You get what you want, and so do I."

Yin Feibai suggested she see a doctor. "Even without Junxi, Gu Yikun wouldn’t be interested in you."

"You’re completely mistaken. If An Junxi has an affair during her marriage and cuckolds President Gu, would he still love her?"

Yin Feibai didn’t care about the people passing by. He grabbed her chin. "Don’t mess around. If I find out you’ve hurt her, I won’t let you off!"

He Sirui sneered, "Don’t pretend to be a saint with me. Can you say you don’t want An Junxi yourself?"

Yin Feibai slowly let go.

"You’re just a coward. No wonder Senye is being suppressed by Gu Yikun."

Yin Feibai fumed, "He Sirui, provocation doesn’t work on me."

"I’m not asking you to do anything. Let me test the waters tonight."

"What do you intend to do?"

"Don’t concern yourself."

He Sirui drank two more glasses of wine while watching An Junxi in conversation with Tao Manqiu from afar. She said quietly, "Once he sees my worth, what are you?"

Tao Manqiu led An Junxi to the poolside where it was less crowded and dimly lit. An Junxi leaned defensively against the wall, "Say what you have to say here."

Tao Manqiu said, "You invited that He Yiqing to the dinner party and even let her play with Jin Xiu. What’s your agenda?"

An Junxi couldn’t understand her reasoning. "Jin Xiu made a good friend at school. What’s my agenda?"

Tao Manqiu said sternly, "I had someone investigate He Yiqing’s background. Her father is just a small business owner. Jin Xiu doesn’t need friends like that. Don’t let Jin Xiu play with her again."

Commanding in tone, there wasn’t a hint of politeness.

An Junxi was furious. "Mrs. Yin, this is our family business. Aren’t you overstepping?"

This old woman only saw benefits. Friendship between children was the purest, but in her eyes, making friends depended on family background, which made An Junxi extremely disgusted.

Tao Manqiu didn’t follow An Junxi’s intentions and spoke disrespectfully. She raised her hand to hit An Junxi, who grabbed it. "Mrs. Yin, don’t be so impulsive at your age. If you faint from a heart attack at our Gu Family, we can’t afford it."

Tao Manqiu’s lips trembled. "An Junxi, are you cursing me? I am Jin Xiu’s biological grandmother. Would I harm him? Does a family like the He Family deserve to be friends with Jin Xiu?"

An Junxi shook off Tao Manqiu’s hand. Tao Manqiu continued, "Is everyone allowed to attend Noble International Primary School now? It’s really lowering the standards! What kind of school did you find for Jin Xiu?"

An Junxi couldn’t stand it anymore. "Tao Manqiu, this is our family business. It’s not your place to point fingers."

Tao Manqiu pointed at her nose. "An Junxi, you deliberately let such a girl get close to Jin Xiu. You have selfish motives. Jin Xiu is young and doesn’t understand. I can’t ignore this."

An Junxi couldn’t face Tao Manqiu any longer, fearing she might hit her. "If you have so many opinions, go talk to Yikun."

While the two were arguing, He Sirui had already navigated through the crowd and sneaked up to the third floor.

Following the information provided by Gu Qianlan, she accurately found Gu Yikun’s master bedroom.

The servant guarding the stairs had just left, so He Sirui had a clear path into the room. She turned on the light, and the master bedroom was in full view.

There was a sitting area outside, with the bedroom inside leading to a large balcony. The decor was somewhat flamboyant, with bright colors.

He Sirui knew this wasn’t Gu Yikun’s style; it must have been An Junxi’s decision.

From the master bedroom, it was clear that many aspects of Gu Yikun’s life had been arranged according to An Junxi’s preferences.

Why was An Junxi able to enter his life and even change his ways? A principled man like Gu Yikun accommodated An Junxi in everything.

He Sirui sat on their large bed, gently touching the pillow. "Yikun, you’ve spent so many days and nights with her. You must not know that there are women better than An Junxi who can satisfy you more."

She took off her bra, making her bust even more alluring under the dress.

He Sirui examined herself in the mirror. She couldn’t find a reason why he wouldn’t be tempted.

Jiang Liu saw the light in the third-floor window and quickly went out. She told the servant, "Your Young Madam went upstairs drunk. Tell President Gu to check on her."

Xiao Luo didn’t suspect anything and found the young master in the first-floor hall, chatting with some directors. Xiao Luo hesitated to approach, but Gu Yikun thought his daughter needed him and asked, "What’s the matter?"

Xiao Luo then walked over and whispered, "Young Madam drank and went to rest in the bedroom. Should the young master go check on her?"

Gu Yikun excused himself from the guests and quickly went upstairs. This little woman, she was told not to drink; why didn’t she listen?

Gu Yikun went up to the third floor, which was mostly their private space. Besides regular cleaning by the servants, no one usually came up here.

He opened the master bedroom door, finding the room pitch dark.

Gu Yikun thought she was dizzy and sleeping, so he didn’t turn on the light to avoid waking her.

In the darkness, he walked to the bed by memory, vaguely seeing someone lying there.

He Sirui’s heart pounded like a drum; he was there, right beside her.

She clenched her hand, trying to relax.

Gu Yikun sat by the bed and gently asked, "Xi Xi, are you feeling unwell?"

His magnetic voice was full of tenderness and concern. He Sirui was dazed. Was Yikun always like this with An Junxi in private?

Her heart was overflowing with jealousy. An Junxi, you don’t deserve this!

Gu Yikun, fearing to wake An Junxi, touched her face with the back of his hand. As soon as he touched her, he stood up and shouted, "Who are you?"

He knew his wife well; the woman in the bed was not Xi Xi.
