CHAPTER 149: CHAPTER 149: DRIVEN OUT OF THE HAWTHORNE FAMILY (PART 1)

The thing they fear most is the paternity test.

"What’s wrong? Are you scared? But it’s too late now." Baby shook his envelope: "I already got the test results earlier, right here."

Claire North exclaimed, "How is this possible, how could you..."

Mid-sentence, she suddenly stopped.

She remembered that night when Baby tugged a strand of her hair.

That must be how her DNA was extracted.

Brenda Adler had been holding onto a sliver of hope, but when she saw her daughter’s expression, she knew the worst had happened.

So, her daughter pretending to be the mother of the Hawthorne family’s young heir was really exposed?

Just thinking about the possible consequences, Brenda’s legs started trembling.

She regretted it, she really regretted it.

If this matter gets exposed, how would they have a place in Southgate for her and her daughter!

Gideon North had a calm face. He was unaware of the secret dealings between Claire North and Brenda Adler and was actually eager for a paternity test.

With this paternity test, his position in the Hawthorne family would be solidified, even Elias Hawthorne would have to give him respect, not to mention others.

Baby’s eyes scanned across their faces and he snorted coldly; he knew this suddenly appearing Claire North was definitely problematic.

The result on the test, clearly stated in black and white—Claire North and Baby Hawthorne were biologically mother and son.

Raina North saw it too, and even though she had long accepted the relationship between Baby and Claire North, seeing this report still made her feel involuntarily sad.

Baby, really is Claire North’s child.

Claire North couldn’t hold back any longer, she rushed over, and upon seeing the test results, burst into laughter: "Baby is my son, really my son!"

Biological mother and son, they really are mother and son!

Brenda Adler was momentarily stunned but was soon overwhelmed with joy. She didn’t know what went wrong, but it was a wonderful mistake, simply wonderful.

Claire North quickly calmed down, her eyes reddened, and she said, aggrieved, "Sister, this is really too much, even if you don’t like me, you shouldn’t come between the bond between me and my son."

Gideon North took the test report into his hands, as if he was holding a royal decree, with great pride: "It’s my fault as a father for not raising my daughter properly, leading Baby astray. In-laws, rest assured, this matter won’t be left at that, I will certainly teach her a good lesson."
