CHAPTER 43: CHAPTER 43: ARE YOU WAITING FOR ME TO FEED YOU PERSONALLY? (1)

Raina North felt a slight sting in her nose. These past days, she seemed normal, but in reality, her mood had been quite heavy and defeated.

She had never imagined that she had another child wandering outside, and worse yet, he was Elias Hawthorne’s son. No one understood Elias’s formidability better than she did.

She feared she wouldn’t be able to take Bobby away, and even more so dreaded the exposure of Casper and Shea’s existence.

This anxiety had been suppressed inside her, pretending as if nothing was wrong, until just now when she couldn’t hold back any longer.

Raina couldn’t help but hug the son in her arms tightly: "You are also the most important man to Mommy."

Casper North was in a bit of a dilemma: "I’ll just be one of Mommy’s most important men, otherwise when we bring big brother back, he’ll definitely be jealous."

"You little rascal." Raina couldn’t help but laugh, giving a gentle pat on her son’s head, then urged: "Hurry up and go eat something."

Casper was indeed hungry, so he obediently went to eat.

Watching her son devour his food, a hint of warmth surfaced in her eyes.

"Eat slowly, Mommy will go heat up a bowl of chicken soup for you."

As soon as Raina pulled the door open, she saw Elias Hawthorne leaning against the wall opposite.

He had removed his suit jacket, and his white, tailored shirt outlined his powerful waist. Two buttons at his collar were undone, revealing a refined collarbone and a honey-colored chest.

His exquisitely handsome features became even more captivating under the bright lights, however, the piercing gaze was intimidating, making it hard for anyone to meet directly.

Raina blinked: "President Hawthorne? What are you doing here? Where’s Baby?"

"Since Shea was three, he’s been washing up on his own."

Raina was taken aback, "Then..." Then why did you just go in with him?

Before she could voice it, Elias suddenly approached her, stopping only when they were close enough to feel each other’s breath: "I went in because I chose to. I wanted to see who exactly you were hiding at home."

Saying this, he extended his arm past her body and pushed the bedroom door open forcefully.

"Elias!"

Raina immediately reached to grab the man, but unfortunately, it was too late, as he had already walked past her and entered.

At that moment, Raina’s mind went blank.

The master bedroom was decorated in beige, with warm orange lighting, appearing very cozy. However, there was no one inside.

Elias furrowed his brows, a flash of surprise gleaming in his eyes. He was certain he just heard Raina talking to someone.

Yet there was no one in the room.

Seeing this, Raina felt her heart relax, and she put on a stern, pretty face: "President Hawthorne, barging into my room late at night, what exactly do you want?"

"Where is everyone?"

"What people? I don’t know what you’re talking about."

"If no one’s here, then how do you explain all this food?"

"Can’t I eat by myself?"

"Miss North, do you want me to remind you, we just had dinner together?"

What dinner together, speaking so nicely.

It was clearly President Hawthorne, the super third wheel, ruining her candlelight dinner with Bobby and Little White.

"I have a big appetite, couldn’t I have not been full just now? Or do you want me to remind you, you were the one who snatched my dinner?"

"If you’re still hungry, then continue eating."

Wh... what?

Elias’s lips curled into a smile: "What’s the matter, Miss North? Are you expecting me to feed you myself?"

Raina saw Elias’s eagerness and quickly declined: "No need to trouble President Hawthorne."

"Then, please go ahead." Elias made a gesture inviting her.

"..." Raina gritted her teeth, admitting defeat for now.
