CHAPTER 1623: WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?

An operation of this scale was something that required a lot of preparation before it could be undertaken.

Even if the ones that were providing support were the strongest countries among the races of the racial alliance, it wasn’t as if they could just gather everything that was needed that quickly.

Just transporting it alone would take a while since it was quite the distance to the coast.

It was even further for some of the countries that were closer to the center of the continent.

But since it was a combined effort, that meant that the resources of the different countries were all available to be used here. That included the wyverns of the Kite Kingdom.

They had been sent to the different countries to collect the resources that would be needed for the demi humans. At the same time, they were sent to gather the people that would be sent to the Mofu Mofu Kingdom.

At the same time, it wasn’t just the wyverns that were being moved.

It was also the airships of the four empires and the different transportation methods of the different kingdom.

That included things like the underwater transport network of the Merman Empire.

With all of these, it really wouldn’t take long to bring the necessary resources to the shore where they would be sent to the Mofu Mofu Kingdom.

But before that, they still had to wait.

Even if it was the power of the entire continent that was providing support for the Mofu Mofu Kingdom, it would still take time.

During this time, I decided to spend it here in the kingdom with my daughter.

I didn’t get much time to spend with them because of the wedding situation.

They were growing and I really was seeing them less and less...

A part of me was still afraid that I would be forgotten by them.

But luckily for me, they recognized me this time and were happy to see me.

A part of me felt wrong that I was using money to buy the love of my daughters...

But seeing their happy faces was more than enough for me.

Once Dicus was gone, I looked at him with one raised brow and said, "Do you actually have anything for me?"

The prime minister...No, it was better to call him Noah now since he was actually off duty.

Noah certainly didn’t have anything for me since he usually didn’t bring matters to me unless they were very important and right now, there wasn’t anything that was important enough to bring to me.

Instead, I could clearly see that he was just using me as some kind of excuse to avoid Dicus.

Though I also had to wonder...

"When did the two of you become so close?"

Before this, Dicus had been chasing me. But now, it seemed that she had changed her target from me to Noah.

It made sense since I was already married to Ariel who was her cousin.

Unlike a certain someone, it was weird to share a husband with someone in your family.

Though I didn’t understand why she chose Noah.

Well, he was a handsome young man that was considered the dream lover of many in the kingdom. It was just that I didn’t think that the two of them had ever been close enough that this kind of relationship would develop between them.

There was a bitter smile that appeared on Noah’s face before he said, "It was at the wedding. She was all alone and I thought that she might have been a lost child, but the next thing that I knew..."

The look on his face was more than enough to show what he was thinking.

"What are you thinking? She’s not that bad. She’s cute and she’s fun, so I think that she would be a good fit for you."

As soon as I said this, Noah looked at me as if he was exasperated with me.

I just looked back at him with the same smile on my face.

"Hmm, but your father and I are still worried since you haven’t made a move yet. Not to mention that it isn’t wrong to have multiple wives in your position."

"Who wants to have a bunch of women that puts you under them?" Though he muttered this with a snort, I heard it clearly which made my face fall.

"I should tell you that her father and mother aren’t easy to handle. One of them is a prince of the Merman Empire and the other is one of the leaders in the sea witches. If you don’t handle it properly, it could be a big issue."

Noah slightly knitted his brows when he heard this.

But then he said, "I’m not important enough for that."

I couldn’t help shaking my head with a faint smile when I heard this before I went on to tease him a bit more.
