CHAPTER 1626: EPIDEMIC? (1)

Ships had been prepared for us to head to the island.

Even if they were safe on their island, it wasn’t as if the demi humans didn’t prepare for a worst case scenario. That was why they had created these ships in the first place just in case they had to evacuate one day.

But the ships just couldn’t compare to the speed that the wyverns had.

Ships were things that depended on the wind in the end, it wasn’t something that one had complete control over.

As such, it was much easier for us to arrive on the island with our wyverns instead of using the ships.

Though the ships would have a use later as they could be used to transport the goods that would follow.

Even if the wyverns were strong, it wasn’t as if they were strong enough to carry the large amount of supplies that had been offered by the different countries. There were still airships that were coming and the ships could be used to help transport these goods across the water.

Before leaving, there was one thing that I had to make sure of.

"Did you inform them this time?" I asked Vanilla and Chocola in a firm voice.

The chief of the village was the one that responded, "I already sent our fastest messenger hawk with a report. You won’t encounter the same situation as you did in our village when you head to the Mofu Mofu Kingdom."

As expected, the chief of the village was much better at this than the two of them.

After all, the two of them revealed awkward looks when they heard this.

It was clear that they hadn’t even thought about this.

After flying for a while, we saw the island that the Mofu Mofu Kingdom was on.

It wasn’t that far from the continent, but it certainly wasn’t close enough to see from the coastline of the continent. It still took quite a while even with the speed of the wyverns to reach this place.

When we arrived, the first place that we found was a port at the edge of the island.

This was the place where the ships would have docked if we had taken the ships and it was also the place where there was a group that was waiting for us.

This was a group that had been sent by the Mofu Mofu Kingdom to greet us when we arrived, so we had no choice but to land at the port for now.

At least it seemed like they had received the message that the chief of the village had sent as they didn’t panic when they saw the wyverns approaching. Instead, it seemed like they were excited to see the wyverns just like the demi humans in the village had after they learned that there was no need to be wary.

But at the same time, they knew that they had to be professional.

"I am the right minister of the Mofu Mofu Kingdom, but you can just call me Adam. Thank you to the members of the racial alliance for coming all this way to provide assistance to our Mofu Mofu Kingdom."

I wasn’t surprised by how frank he was being since this was just how the demi humans were.

It was a good thing that we had stopped at the village as well since the others seemed to have recognized this as well, so they didn’t think that this right minister was being rude or anything.

Instead of wasting time, I said, "We have a lot of supplies here, but we don’t know how to distribute them around since we don’t know the layout of the land. Can you please provide someone that knows the land to help us distribute everything?"

It wasn’t just the right minister, the rest of the demi humans all had their eyes light up when they heard this.

It seemed that the situation in the Mofu Mofu Kingdom had been quite dire, or it was possible that it had even become worse. After all, I could see how Vanilla and Chocola were reacting when they saw the change in the right minister’s reaction.

"Yes, we’ll send someone right away." The right minister Adam nodded before turning around to give orders to the others in his group.

In no time at all, the different members of his group started getting on the wyverns.

Instead of bringing the supplies down from the wyverns, they chose to get on the wyverns to lead them personally to send the supplies to the places that needed them. They recognized that the wyverns would be faster than any other form of transportation that they had.

Since they promised that they would make sure that the wyverns weren’t attacked, I allowed this to happen.

After all, the most important thing was helping the people of the Mofu Mofu Kingdom.

Other than this...

"Do you have any people that are suffering from the epidemic here? We have gnome alchemists and sea witches with us as well, so I want to see if they can do anything about it."

The eyes of the right minister and the other demi humans lit up once more when they heard this.

Wasting no time at all, the right minister said, "Though this is a port at the edge of the kingdom, there are still those that have fallen ill here. They have been isolated from the others, so please follow me to where they are."

He didn’t even seem to worry about what we would do to them.

It seemed like he just cared about seeing if we could cure them or not.

It seemed that the situation really was dire in the Mofu Mofu Kingdom.

We were brought to what seemed to be a warehouse at the edge of the port.

When we arrived, we could already hear the sounds that were coming from inside.

It was clear that this was the place where they kept all of the people that were sick.
