They seemed confused about why I was calling the priests over, but they still listened to me and went out to call them in.

I had been planning to go out to do this myself, but I stopped since I could see the way that the patients were looking at me.

At this point, it seemed like they saw me as the only thing that could save them.

Even if the caretaker was holding them back, there was no telling what they would actually do if I were to leave.

So that was why it was best if I stayed in their line of sight instead of heading out to call the priests in.

But I still didn’t do the same thing as I did with that one person, which made them anxious. It really seemed like they wanted to crowd around me to force me to heal them.

In no time at all, the priests came in.

I did the same thing as before where I created a layer of mist around them as protection, but it seemed like this incited the patients. They all looked at me as if they wanted me to put the layer of mist around them instead.

After all, they saw how I had cured that one demi human from before.

I just ignored them as I said to the priests, "Find one patient and use your purification magic on them. Use your weakest purification spells at first and slowly increase the intensity. I want to see just how much of an effect it has on them."

The priests all looked confused when they heard this, but they still nodded as if they had received an order and said, "Yes, Holy Son."

Wasting no time at all, they chose their patients and started using their purification spells on them. Though the effects clearly weren’t as good as when I used the divine energy mist on them.

In fact, it didn’t seem like the weakest purification spells had any effect at all.

It was only when they started using medium grade purification spells that there was a reaction from the patients.

"Oh, it feels a bit better."

Though they said this, it was clear that they were still disappointed by the results.

After all, even if they felt a bit better, it wasn’t as if this cured the root of the problem. It was just helping them alleviate their symptoms a bit instead of actually curing them.

Finally, it seemed like things changed when they used their high grade purification spells.

The priests that had come with me were some of the best of the best. The Holy Empire didn’t even try hiding it at this point as they appointed the most elite guards that they had to me.

But since they did that, I might as well use them properly.

Once the high grade purification spells were used, all of the symptoms that had been affecting these people disappeared.

However, that didn’t mean that they were cured.

It only meant that they were cured when I couldn’t feel that familiar sensation from them anymore. And that was the case when the high grade purification spells were used.

I stopped the priests from continuing after they finished curing the ones in front of them.

Instead, I said, "Take out the holy water and see if it has any effect."

The priests looked surprised to hear this, but they did follow what I said.

As priests of the Holy Empire, they were able to bring out large amounts of holy water. Even if they didn’t bring the holy water with them, they could easily make it as long as they cast their holy magic.

So it didn’t take long for them to splash the demi humans who were ill with the holy water.

Only it didn’t seem like the holy water by itself had any effect.

No, it was able to alleviate the symptoms like the medium grade purification spell had done. However, it just wasn’t strong enough that it was able to completely cure them of all symptoms like the high grade purification spell.

Instead of having them cast the high grade purification spell right away, I had them cast the low grade purification spell first.

"Ke, ke, it does feel a bit better, but it’s still not enough."

As expected, just the low grade purification spell wasn’t enough.

But in the end, it turned out that the medium grade purification spell was enough to completely cure them when used with the holy water.

"Do any of you have magic items that can use purification spells?"

The demi human patients looked very impatient because they were being treated like test subjects, but I didn’t say anything as I continued doing all kinds of tests on them.

But in the end, they were all cured of their diseases.

If this didn’t work, there was no telling what they would have done in protest.

Still, at least they had all been cured now.

On the side, Puffer had been writing down all the observations that had been taken from these demi humans while we tested all of these cures on them.

When it was over, she couldn’t help asking, "What did you discover?"

I looked at her with a grim look on my face before saying, "Help me contact all of the others. We need to gather and discuss this matter before we actually decide what to do for the Mofu Mofu Kingdom."

It wasn’t just her, the priest and the gnome that had been silently watching from the side couldn’t help looking at me with confused looks on their faces.

It seemed like they really wanted to know what I was thinking...

Or at least, they wanted to know what I had figured out about all of these people.

But right now, I needed some time to gather my thoughts before actually giving them a report on what I had discovered.

After all, this wasn’t a small matter that I had noticed.

If what I had discovered was true, this was a very big matter.
