CHAPTER 204: 204. NATURALLY CORRUPTED

Up on the 13th Floor of the Dungeon of Sins, a fierce battle was already happening.

Calliya, Droge, and Ash had teamed up on the Evil Spirit. But even so, they were actually on the defensive.

With its chaos attributed attacks and extreme regenerative capabilities, the summon was thrashing its three opponents. It was only a matter of time before they got defeated.

On the other side, Minerva was going all out with her undead, overdrawing on her powers to turn the fallen into temporary manpower.

After the reinforcements from the lower floors had arrived, the elves were severely outnumbered.

However, their side had many 4th Circlers. These powerhouses were massacring the monsters in batches.

Within just five minutes, the number of monsters reduced by nearly half. As for those three who were fighting the Evil Spirit, they were at their limit.

"How are we supposed to kill this thing?!" Calliya fired triple arrows, aiming at the spirit’s eyes.

"We don’t have to. This thing is an amalgamation of thousands of souls." Ash replied while dodging waves of destructive rays.

"As long as we expend the energy required to maintain it, this evil spirit will return back to its origin."

Hearing that, Calliya looked toward the elven side. Right now, those summoners were being protected by several 3rd Circle and three 4th Circle elves.

Previously, those High Summoners appeared to be incredibly exhausted after summoning the Evil Spirit. But now, they seemed full of energy again.

"Thank you for that Vital Water, commander." One of the cloaked summoners said to Issac who was nearby, defending from a horde of goblins.

The Vital Water that this summoner spoke of was actually a diluted form of some Life Elixir that Issac secretly kept with himself.

The reason these summoners decided to show their ultimate trump card was because he’d promised to share this resource.

Otherwise, who’d want to lose tens of years of lifespan for someone else’s cause?

"How much longer can you hold?" One of the squad captains asked.

"You don’t have to worry." Another cloaked summoner replied. "We can maintain it for another half an hour. The Soul Chimera gets stronger and stronger when more die on the battlefield. This should be over soon."

"But didn’t you say that there’s a chance of it spiralling out of control if it gets too powerful?"

"We won’t let that happen." The leader among the summoners, who was usually silent, replied firmly and poured more mana into the magic circle maintaining the summon.

However, at this moment, a large hole opened up in the middle of the battlefield, separating the elves and the monsters.

Then, to everyone’s surprise — a huge winged, crimson creature flew out just before the floor patched itself.

Roarrrr!

The dragon’s cry thundered in the ears and the hearts of everyone present, causing them to freeze momentarily.

"Oh?" Yvonne quickly looked to her right just as she arrived on the 13th floor, and saw a hideous spirit emitting an evil aura.

"So that’s the problem..." Her eyes flared up.

...

Natural corruption was extremely rare in the world, especially one in Pristina’s case where it was self-induced. It was also much more difficult to be naturally corrupted at higher ranks.

Despite this pirate being at the 4th Circle, her strength could match ordinary beings at the 5th Circle now that she was corrupted.

’After years of doing evil acts, she was only missing the last trigger...’ Jake felt a headache. This matter just got more complicated.

Prior to this, he just wanted to injure this woman to the point she’d have no defense against his [Degeneration Halo].

However, it was practically impossible to place a foreign Seed of Corruption in the mind of a natural.

Using [Demon Eye], Jake could tell that at least two of her attributes had stepped into the 5th Circle standard already. Now she only needed another attribute to advance.

’Since I bought that skill, I’ve always heavily relied on it to get what I wanted. But that doesn’t mean I’m out of options.’ Jake clenched his weapon.

Spreading his Magipathy for a brief moment, he ordered Fiona to stop playing with those other pirates and to catch Pristina’s sister.

The homunculus nodded. Using her Synthetic Body skill, she tore through the blockade of the pirates and landed on the other ship.

The next moment, the corrupted pirate clashed against Jake. The blades of the rapier and the scythe clanged in the rain, sparking fiery embers and sending out booming shockwaves.

By now, every other pirate, whether they were on the galleon or the schooner, knew about this battle.

They looked toward the north and saw two figures, one a giant demon with black wings and another a tall, goth pirate emitting an obvious, dark aura.

Both flew above the stormy seas, using flashy skills whose effects covered most of the space above the ships.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

It was as if a mini apocalypse was descending. Facing this pirate, Jake had to admit that even his skills were lacking.

If not for him learning skills such as [Shadow Motion] and [Reflect Magic] back in Tartus Dungeon, and his innate demonic ability to manipulate emotions, he’d have to run from this newly corrupted opponent.

Right now, Jake was trying to wear her down by being on the defensive, mostly dodging her mid and long-range attacks. However, he didn’t hesitate to attack whenever he found an opening.

"Coward fiend! Stop running if you dare!" Pristina was fuming due to his hit-and-run tactics.

Pointing her weapon at the demon, she used a Unique skill that rained hundreds of dark elemental swords on him.

’Tch.’ Frustrated, Jake sent out a series of Death Slashes and landed on the Horizon Belle’s sundeck.

At this moment, the cloaked Fiona shot past him and used [Alchemic Beam] on the pirate floating above.

However, Pristina easily cut through it. As the two women began fighting, Jake, having sensed someone, stretched his left hand behind him and used [Demonic Grasp].

"Ah!" Mina, who was naked and chained, cried fearfully as she was yanked ahead by a pulling force.

"Help!" She shouted when Jake forcibly grabbed her willow waist and placed his blade against her tender neck.

Pristina, who was caught up in battle with a new opponent, couldn’t help but glance when she heard her sister’s cries.

Her brows furrowed after seeing Jake’s expression. Deflecting Fiona’s attack, she shot toward the schooner and landed on it.

"Careful." Grabbing the poor girl’s exposed breasts, Jake licked his lips and edged his sharp blade against the skin of her neck.

With a miniscule cut, a thin line of blood appeared.

"Noo!" Mina was horrified and cried for help.

"Shameful." Pristina’s hand which held the sword was trembling in anger. However, Jake pushed his blade deeper, causing the cut to widen.

"Stop!"

Looking furiously at the demon which was holding her sister hostage, she finally lowered her weapon.

"What do you want?"
