Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons
Chapter 424 - 398: Return Journey
CHAPTER 424: CHAPTER 398: RETURN JOURNEY
Due to the special mechanism of this Dungeon, even though they cleared it, they didn’t have much of a feeling about it.
On the way back, as the rules stated, their attacks couldn’t harm any creature in the Dungeon at this time, and other creatures in the Dungeon acted as if Kane and the others were invisible.
They returned to the Circular Restaurant and went to their rooms at the inn; there were still some things they hadn’t packed up yet.
Upon opening the door, they saw an envelope at the doorstep, likely slid in through the crack under the door.
"A letter? Who could have written it?" Kane looked at the letter on the ground, puzzled, and picked it up.
Kreya curiously leaned over and asked, "Who wrote it?"
The front of the envelope had no signature, but there were two wing-like designs. They tore open the envelope to check it.
"It’s from Funa and the others." Kane saw Funa’s name clearly signed at the back of the envelope.
"They’ve already cleared the Dungeon and left; this letter is their farewell to us."
Kane explained to everyone after reading the letter’s content.
Seeing Lilulu’s slightly lost expression, Kane patted her head to console her, "It’s alright, it won’t be long before we meet again."
Afterwards, everyone was tidying up their personal spaces in their respective rooms.
"Where should we go next?" Kane asked, lying on the couch.
Longbei and the others were also sitting on the couch, unable to decide which Dungeon to go to.
Kreya looked at everyone and said, "How about going to my hometown? There’s a special Silver Dungeon there that’s about to disappear. If we go now, we should have time to clear it."
A month ago, before Kreya had started clearing this Dungeon, she received a letter from home informing her of this situation. They hoped that Kreya and her team could try to tackle it if they had the time.
This kind of special Dungeon is usually subject to some kind of information blockade by local forces, indicating that it has a very interesting mechanism.
"Your hometown, so your home is there too?" Kane completely missed the key point, or rather, he focused on what was important to him.
Kane’s question made Kreya a bit puzzled, but she still said, "Of course my home is in my hometown."
Although Kreya didn’t immediately grasp the key information Kane was implying, Longbei and the others quickly caught on because of Kane’s question.
They turned to look at Kane, unable to hide the mischievous smile on their faces.
Then they mischievously laughed and said, "Sounds like a good idea, I agree."
Lilulu floated in the air, arms crossed, looking at Kane with an evil grin and said, "Hehe, Lilulu agrees too."
Meizike, usually indifferent to such matters, nodded in agreement after seeing everyone else agree.
Seeing that everyone agreed, Kreya also focused on Kane, waiting for his response.
Darn, if the teammates all agree, I can’t just randomly reject this proposal, but I’m still so nervous.
Kane screamed internally.
Finally, he forced himself to nod expressionlessly, indicating his approval of the proposal.
Seeing everyone’s agreement, Kreya smiled, then returned to her room with happiness and said, "Then I’ll go plan the route in my room first; how about we leave tomorrow?"
Everyone nodded, Longbei and Lilulu almost wishing they could leave right then.
Watching everyone’s actions, Kreya returned to her room.
As soon as Kreya entered her room, Longbei and Lilulu turned around to stare at Kane.
Mischievous grins were all over their faces; they were eager to watch the drama unfold.
"Oh my, we’re going to visit Kreya’s house; I wonder if his parents are there. They should be, right?"
"I wonder if Kreya’s parents will like Lilulu? They definitely will; after all, Lilulu is so cute. But what if it’s Kane?"
Kane just watched these two act all joking in front of him, a vein bulging on his forehead.
"What do you mean? You think I’ll be afraid to meet Kreya’s parents? It’s just a simple matter."
Kane spoke, then returned to his room without looking back. Although he acted tough, inside he was very nervous, needing time to think and practice.
He could still hear Longbei and Lilulu’s exaggerated laughter from behind, as if they were afraid Kane wouldn’t hear it.
These two, darn it.
The next morning came.
Kane and the others sat at the table, eating their last breakfast at the Circular Restaurant.
The table was filled with an array of breakfasts. Since they were leaving today and didn’t know when they’d be back, they indulged a bit.
Kreya was detailing the journey ahead for everyone.
Her hometown is also at the edge of the border area, and the time the demi species have been in this world isn’t very long, just about two eras.
So, their territory is right outside the border area, and that region is called the Vize United Kingdom, which is a federation of demi species.
And Kreya’s hometown is on the Sakuvian Grassland within the Kingdom, which is their destination this time.
