Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons
Chapter 425 - 398: Return Journey_2
CHAPTER 425: CHAPTER 398: RETURN JOURNEY_2
"We need to teleport all the way to the Transmission Hub first, then switch routes, and teleport all the way to Lion City, back to where we first met. Once there, it’ll be very close to my hometown."
Upon hearing Kreya’s route plan, Kane and the others nodded, equivalent to retracing their steps.
After finishing their meal and tidying up, they opened the door and stepped out.
Through the corridor, they exited the second half of the Circular Restaurant, indicating they had already left the dungeon behind.
After checking out at the front desk, they stepped onto the street in front of the Circular Restaurant.
Since the Teleportation Station was outside the city, they needed to pass through the city gates, and incidentally, they passed by the Delicious Food Street they had to cross when first arriving in this city.
No matter if people are leaving or entering the city, this street is a must-pass, always bustling with crowds.
Coming here without buying some delicious food is definitely not right.
Longbei took a skewer of beef in his hand, eating with oil dripping from his mouth: "Ah, just about to leave this wonderful place, I’m really a bit reluctant."
"Anyway, there’s the Teleportation Array. If you want to come back for a vacation, just teleport here, it won’t even take a day," Kane complained beside him.
Longbei shook his head, saying, "How can life stay in one place? Of course, we have to explore around, and long-distance teleportation isn’t a pleasant experience."
The group chatted as they passed through the city gate, and Kane conjured a vehicle on the spot, taking them quickly toward the Teleportation Station.
Dissipating the vehicle next to the Teleportation Station, they were greeted by the curious looks of those around them. Although most knew it was likely the person’s skills or something, the curiosity remained.
Kreya went inside to negotiate and successfully purchased teleportation tickets for everyone, then directly stood on the Teleportation Station.
People kept teleporting out from the station, indicating this place’s tourism industry was perpetually thriving.
After a round of teleportation, they arrived once again at the Transmission Hub, with a gigantic Crystal Stone looming overhead, illuminating the entire sky.
Compared to their arrival, when there was only one teleportation ship, the sky was now densely packed with various sizes of teleportation ships constantly transporting cargo.
Clearly, it was a sunny day, yet it felt as if they were under an overcast sky.
Kane and the others walked toward another teleportation route while chatting and staring at the teleportation ships in the sky.
"Why are there so many teleportation ships? Are there that many valuable goods needing transport?" Longbei asked curiously.
Kreya looked closely at the teleportation ships in the sky, seemingly discovering something, and told the others, "The fully-loaded ships all seem to be teleporting in one direction."
The gigantic Crystals produce teleportation gates suitable for the ship’s size, but since the directions they create are different, the connected locations are not the same. Over 90% of the fully-loaded ships in the sky headed toward the same teleportation gate.
"What else could it be?" Kane pointed to a billboard not far away, plastered with several faction recruitment advertisements: "It’s definitely because the World Ring is about to appear."
The group nodded; this idea seemed quite reasonable.
Following the flow of people switching routes, they finally arrived at the line they were supposed to take and boarded the massive Teleportation Station.
The staff beside them looked at Kane’s destination and kindly reminded them, "Your destination has a relatively long teleportation distance and higher frequency, so please prepare your mind and personal protection."
Saying that, they pressed a button next to them, and Kane and his group disappeared in a flash of blue light.
If teleporting within one country equates to spinning once in a drum washing machine and enduring it...
Now the feeling was like being continuously washed in a drum washing machine, with the world spinning, the entire space spinning constantly while they rotated along, feeling as if their bodies were being compressed and stretched with the space.
A hint of light finally appeared in the pitch-black space, and Kane and his group arrived at a transit station.
The moment they appeared on the teleportation array, Kane directly collapsed to the ground, using his hands to prevent himself from lying down.
Longbei and the others were the same, their legs weak and trembling as they forced themselves to stand firmly.
Lilulu used Magic Power to control the limp and dazed Kane and others, guiding them to the resting area next to them.
Exerting effort to support himself onto a seat, Kane finally let out a breath on his pale face.
If his constitution hadn’t reached the Silver level, he would have definitely thrown up on the spot.
Though he could suppress the urge to vomit now, the dizziness and fatigue wouldn’t dissipate, and he could only strive to endure it.
Lilulu beside them hovered in mid-air with her arms crossed, wearing an expression of disappointment.
She managed to act unaffected, as Lilulu was apparently very accustomed to the sensation of teleportation, not being affected in the slightest.
Each person rested on their seats like this, staring at the sky and emptying their minds.
"I will never make a long-distance teleport again; I’d rather spend more time and money, teleporting station by station slowly," Longbei reiterated familiar words.
However, this time, his words gained unanimous agreement from Kane and the others.
Kane and team were situated where they could see the teleportation platform they arrived from, seemingly dedicated to long-distance teleportation transfers.
Almost everyone who teleported down was like Kane and his group.
Apart from a few who performed on par with Kane and company, most people immediately sprawled on the ground upon teleporting.
Some even spun in place, with amusing postures caused by racial differences.
Such scenes finally alleviated Kane and their discomfort, proving once again, joy often built upon others’ suffering.
Feeling himself finally recovered, Kane looked at his teammates, whose faces had also returned to normal.
"Alright, let’s continue our teleportation. This time the distance should be shorter, and it won’t be as tormenting," Kane said, leading them toward another teleportation platform.
As blue light appeared, Kane and the others vanished.
On the teleportation platform of Lion City, the blue light reappeared, and Kane and his group materialized on it.
This time, their expressions showed no abnormalities, indicating the shorter teleportation distance had no adverse effects.
Kane and company disembarked from the platform, observing the familiar Explorer’s House and other surroundings.
"Ah, back to this familiar place again," Kane remarked with a sigh, looking around.
"Indeed." Not only Kane, but Longbei and the others felt the same.
While they were there, they paid a visit to the House of Mist, the one they were most familiar with, knowing many of the staff inside well.
Of course, the most familiar was Yang Jiaomei, Adoma.
But as they entered, they didn’t see Adoma’s familiar figure at the front desk; she didn’t seem to be on duty today, appearing unfortunate timing.
Now they should head back to the teleportation platform for the final teleport, this time directly to Kreya’s hometown.
Looking at the increasingly closer teleportation platform, Kane’s hard-won tranquil mind became restless again.
Involuntarily, he glanced at Kreya beside him.
"What’s the matter?" Kreya asked as she noticed Kane staring at her.
"Nothing." Kane retracted his gaze, briefly at a loss for explanation and unsure of Kreya’s thoughts.
Does this woman know what this trip signifies?
With various thoughts, he stood with his teammates on the teleportation platform.
As a pillar of light shot skyward, Kane and his group vanished with it.
