Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons
Chapter 427 - 400: Returning Home
CHAPTER 427: CHAPTER 400: RETURNING HOME
In front of the teleportation station.
Just as Kane and the others were about to enter, Kreya suddenly stopped and took out a transparent crystal stone from her space equipment.
At this moment, the transparent crystal stone was flashing red light and was trembling.
Kreya picked it up and input a trace of magic power.
She closed her eyes and began communicating with something, then shortly stopped and threw the crystal stone back into her space equipment.
Looking at Kane and the others waiting beside her, Kreya said, "That was a message from my mother. She seems to be in the royal capital as well and sensed my presence. Let’s wait for her here for a while."
Upon hearing this, Kane instantly panicked.
He then comforted himself in his heart, thinking her mother doesn’t know about his relationship with Kreya, it’s fine, no need to panic, just regard her as the mother of a companion.
Meanwhile, Lilu and Longbei had schadenfreude written all over their faces.
At this moment, Kreya finally noticed their off expressions and asked Lilu, "What are you laughing at Lilu, laughing so ugly."
Hearing Kreya’s words, Lilu seemed to have discovered a new continent, and her smile grew even bigger.
She finally realized that Kreya didn’t seem to notice anything unusual about this trip.
"Sister Kreya, have you ever thought..." she didn’t finish her sentence but pointed at Kane beside her.
At that moment, Kane was standing with his arms crossed, wearing a calm expression, like he was completely composed.
Kreya looked at Kane, and her expression increasingly showed surprise, her eyes couldn’t help but widen, as a red hue spread from her ears to her cheeks.
She finally discovered the problem with this trip.
She rushed over and grabbed Kane’s shoulder, pinching his arm tightly.
With a tone full of panic, she said, "What do we do? Kane, why don’t we go back now? Actually, we don’t need to go to that dungeon; we can choose another dungeon, right, that way there’s no problem."
At this moment, Kreya’s face was covered with a red blush, her eyes starting to swirl, speaking incoherently.
Beside them, Lilu and Longbei’s smiles gradually became unscrupulous, full of anticipation, even snacks appeared in their hands, they were fully prepared.
Looking at Kreya’s panicked expression, Kane found himself calm inside, reaching out to hold Kreya’s anxious hand.
"It’s okay, Kreya, we have to meet eventually."
Listening to Kane’s words, Kreya took deep breaths repeatedly, controlling her emotions, finally calming down.
"Lady Fortune."
A heroic voice suddenly came from behind Kane and the others.
Kreya’s eyes visibly widened.
She immediately threw Kane’s hand aside, putting both hands behind her back, quickly adjusting her stance, her whole demeanor turning calm.
She turned around lightly, her mere turning around appeared somewhat elegant.
A certain kind of aura emanated from her, her expression becoming noble and indifferent.
Kane silently moved away from her, approaching Longbei and the others.
Longbei and Lilu paused their snacks, stunned momentarily by Kreya’s instant transformation.
Kane’s expression was also equally surprised, even though he knew Kreya was wealthy, her current performance was more than just wealth.
The speaker was a female centaur clad in exquisite armor.
She bowed slightly, performing a courtesy towards Kreya.
"Lady Fortuna, the madam asked me to find you first, she will be here shortly."
Upon hearing the report, Kreya lightly nodded her head, then said, "Wait aside first, I have matters to discuss with my teammates."
"Yes," the female knight retreated to the side, turning her back to Kane and the others.
Only then did Kane and the others return in front of Kreya.
Kane looked around Kreya closely and exclaimed in surprise.
Even though Lilu and Longbei didn’t show it so blatantly, they still examined her up and down.
Only her aura and expression changed, yet she seemed transformed, like a completely different person.
Watching Kane next to her admire her intensely with his eyes, Kreya finally couldn’t hold it together, breaking out of her expression and aura, she punched Kane on the shoulder.
"Ouch! Kreya, you hit too hard."
Kreya whispered quietly, "Keep a little distance from me, don’t be so close, otherwise my mother will surely notice, her gaze is very sharp."
Kane wasn’t too bad at acting in this regard either, immediately keeping a little distance from Kreya, allowing Lilu to sit on his shoulder.
Looking this way, he and Kreya seemed like mere companions, without any mixed emotions.
Longbei shook his head at witnessing this scene, indeed like attracts like, not a family, not entering a family.
They weren’t waiting for long when distant street sounds of hooves began to surface.
A group of over twenty heavy cavalry centaurs escorted a figure approaching Kane and the others.
Only when closer did Kane see clearly.
It was a noblewoman with light red hair, bearing a striking resemblance to Kreya, only appearing more mature.
The female knight who had previously come to find Kreya also rejoined the team and reported something to the noblewoman.
Afterwards, the noblewoman walked forward, and Kreya slightly moved forward as well, then lowered her head and called out, "Mother."
The noblewoman smiled elegantly, then touched cheeks with Kreya and looked her up and down, as if inspecting Kreya’s growth during this period.
"Aren’t you going to introduce your teammates to me?"
Hearing her mother’s words, Kreya immediately stepped over and began to introduce Kane and the others.
However, before Kreya could introduce them, her mother started to introduce herself first.
"My name is Fortuna, I am Kreya’s mother. Thank you all for taking care of Kreya for such a long time."
Then Kreya began the introductions, starting with Lilu on Kane’s shoulder.
"This is Lilu."
"Hello, Lady Fortuna."
"Hello, Lilu. You’re adorable."
Kreya’s mother seemed to like Lilu very much, speaking with a broad smile.
"This is our team’s captain, Kane."
"Hello, madam."
"Thank you for taking care of Kreya."
Kreya’s mother chatted with Kane for a while. Everything seemed quite normal, and neither of them noticed anything unusual.
Both Kreya and Kane internally let out a sigh of relief.
A close call?
Lastly, it was Longbei and Meizike.
Once introductions were complete, everyone became acquainted with each other.
"Then let’s go. You’re all very welcome to visit Kreya’s home."
With that, she led Kane and the others onto the teleportation platform.
The knights escorting her divided into two teams and entered the platforms on either side.
With a blue flash, everyone disappeared from the teleportation platform.
When Kane regained his sight, he found himself on a grassland.
Several teleportation platforms of varying sizes dotted the grassland with no fences around, just two buildings beside the platform, guarded by two centaur soldiers.
The lush grassland extended throughout the entire field of vision, even the sky appeared a deeper blue.
A gentle breeze caressed the grass, brushing against Kane and the others’ faces.
"It’s so beautiful here," Lilu said happily as she looked around.
Hearing Lilu’s voice, Kreya’s mother turned with a smile and said, "Welcome to the Sakuvian Grassland, the homeland of the four-legged."
Then she leaned towards Kreya’s ear and asked, "Kreya, do your companions have mounts?"
Hearing her mother’s words, Kreya nodded, then turned around to stare at Kane and said, "Kane, our home is a bit far from here."
As she spoke, her hoof scraped the ground.
Kane nodded in understanding. Then, magic power flowed from his hand, constructing a large motorcycle-like two-wheeled vehicle.
This vehicle had a driver’s seat at the front and a spacious rear seat that was just right for Longbei and Meizike’s size.
This construct might have never been made before, which caused a hint of curiosity to flash in Longbei and Kreya’s eyes.
悠悠 stood on the platform of the driver’s seat, and Kane sat in the driver’s seat, patting the seat behind him while staring at Longbei and Meizike.
The two quickly took their seats at the rear, while Lilu sat directly in front of Kane.
Watching Lilu in front of him, Kane gathered a small helmet in his hand and placed it on her head.
"Then we’ll lead the way up ahead."
With that said, Kreya’s mother and the heavy cavalry centaurs beside her raced forward.
"Kane, keep up!" Kreya called with a smile, joining the group in their sprint.
The motorcycle’s two wheels spun instantly, and Kane and the others shot forward, the wind pressure buffeting against them.
"This is so much more thrilling than sailing or driving! This is the coolest vehicle you’ve made so far," Longbei shouted to Kane at the front, enjoying the rush of wind against his face.
Then Kane adjusted the speed to ride alongside Kreya.
Even though the distance was far, under Kane and his companions’ high-speed chase, it wasn’t long before they could see in the distance a massive complex that looked like an estate.
They then stopped outside the estate’s grand entrance.
The soldiers split into two groups, heading to the sides as their captain, the female centaur, said something to Kreya’s mother and then led her team away.
"This is my home," Kreya said, leading Kane and the others to where her mother was waiting.
Fortuna led Kreya and the others through the estate’s gate.
However, at that moment, Fortuna casually, almost as if chatting, turned to Kane and asked, "You and our Kreya, how far has your relationship developed?"
