Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons
Chapter 435 - 406: Gold Everywhere
CHAPTER 435: CHAPTER 406: GOLD EVERYWHERE
The sky was a dull orange-yellow, weighed down with dark clouds.
It was a sight like the apocalypse.
The sound of horse hooves echoed.
Horn was riding on his horse, racing away from the battlefield he had left behind.
Fortunately, although he had chased after the enemy commander, he hadn’t gone too far, and after a while, he could see the battlefield from afar.
Even now, the sporadic screams and sounds of cannons could still be heard.
He happened to see some soldiers who had already abandoned their weapons, running towards him.
These soldiers were covered in gray-black bloodstains, and as they rushed forward, they kept looking back from time to time.
Their terrified expressions were as if they were being chased by evil ghosts.
When they saw the man on the horse ahead, wearing red and white armor, the fear on their faces intensified.
What awaited them was Horn’s sword blade.
Those pursuing him from behind also appeared, indeed a few soldiers bound in white bandages wearing red and white.
Their expressions were as frenzied as evil ghosts, shouting, "Don’t run, you cowards."
Then they saw their commander kill them one by one.
Only then did they calm down and halt their steps.
Horn gestured to move forward, and the few people silently returned to the battlefield.
When Horn returned to the battlefield, there were not many soldiers left by then.
These soldiers were being picked off one by one by Kane and the others; they didn’t want to let any escape, especially Lilu, who launched meteor after meteor at the backs of the fleeing soldiers.
Under the swift pursuit of everyone, not a single soldier survived, all turning to dust on the ground.
Kane and the others reassembled.
They looked at the piles of dust throughout the battlefield, where numerous magic items were already emitting faint glows of magic power.
The sunlight streaming down from the sky reflected golden glimmers from the dust.
The glow from beneath the dust was enticingly radiant.
Every pile of dust hid these tempting treasures.
However, the area of their battleground was simply too vast, with gray dust covering the entire region.
"When on earth are we going to finish picking this up?" Longbei couldn’t help but say, looking at the gray dust all around.
It was the first time he felt that collecting loot had become a difficult task.
These spoils couldn’t normally be seen or picked up by the creatures originally in the dungeon, so they couldn’t let the soldiers help and had to pick them up themselves.
Kane patted Longbei on the shoulder and comforted, "Alright, stop complaining, isn’t collecting money fun?"
Then he turned to Meizike and said, "You go check the soldiers’ injuries, and save those who are severely wounded if possible."
These were all of their own vital forces, and of course, they couldn’t be abandoned randomly, especially since they were of the silver level, were quite capable.
Hearing Kane’s words, Meizike nodded and then walked towards where the soldiers were gathered.
On the battlefield, all the still-living teammates would be dragged to the rear by their comrades, gathered together for the medics to provide concentrated treatment.
When Meizike came over, all the soldiers made way for him since they already knew this man was their lifeline.
During the previous battle, the red particle ribbons he controlled had been their lifesaver.
Almost every soldier had been treated by him.
Looking at the dozens of moaning figures lying on the ground, Meizike controlled the red particles in his hands to begin treatment.
Of course, he only treated those who were critically injured; minor injuries were left to the medics accompanying the army to handle.
On the other side, Kane and the others also began the recovery of the spoils.
They certainly wouldn’t personally bend over to pick them up one by one.
Kane directly spent magic power to conjure a mecha about seven or eight meters tall, which had no weapon in its hands, but rather two massive objects like horns.
Engineering Mecha - The Collector
This was the name Kane gave to the mecha.
With the outpouring of magic power, the horn-like objects began generating strong suction, sucking up the dust on the ground along with the items within the dust.
The main body of the mecha was quite slender, appearing bulging because it had a giant backpack almost as large as itself on its back.
Yu was in one of the slots inside the backpack, controlling the internal mechanisms of the backpack to sort and store the items Kane collected.
Li Lu, on the other hand, directly opened a rainbow-colored teleportation gate.
Strange creatures of various kinds came out of the teleportation gate.
Little animals walking upright in clothes: mice, squirrels, rabbits, flower cats.
Those animals caught earlier in the World Restaurant were released by Li Lu as well.
These creatures, altered by elements of fairy tales and inspired by the Awakening Spell, had long gained intelligence.
The most obvious change in these creatures was that they all became cuter, fitting a childlike aesthetic.
However, while their clothes were colorful, the styles were quite limited, mostly consisting of leather jackets, shorts, and little skirts.
You could tell the gender of these animals from their attire.
Once out, these animals followed Li Lu’s instructions and began searching for loot on the battlefield.
This is true laziness. Lirulu simply sat on the throne that was brought out to rest and gave commands.
Look at Lirulu, she completely looks like a tyrannical, dimwitted ruler.
Kreya also summoned her Ghost Knights to help with the search.
Longbei was the only one relying on his own two legs, searching through piles of dust alone.
By the time Meizike had mostly treated the severely injured soldiers, Kane and the others had demonstrated their skills, collecting the spoils of battle.
Lirulu directed her Spirit of Fairy Tales to classify and pile the loot, and Kreya and Longbei also came over, adding their collected spoils from their Space Equipment.
Finally, it was Kane, whose Mecha disappeared but the large iron backpack behind it remained intact, floated over under Kane’s control, and poured out a large amount of loot and gold coins.
When all the gold coins were piled together, they fused into a glow of light.
The gold coins generated in the dungeon can be transformed into Mist Coins just by piling them together.
With the glow fading away, the mountain-like pile of gold coins vanished, replaced by neatly stacked bundles of Mist Coins.
Such a vast amount of loot, Kane and his team were too lazy to count it manually. YoYo slid over on skates, blue scanning beams projecting from his eyes, scanning the heaps of loot in front of him to perform a simple calculation.
"Calculating... 125 Mist Coins."
Upon hearing this amount, Kane and the others were overjoyed. A fortune! This could definitely be called a fortune.
Just this wave of battles generated enough Coins to match the entire revenue from selling off the less valuable loot from clearing a dungeon.
Of course, this doesn’t include any high-quality Equipment; a single piece of top-tier Equipment could match this value.
Still, this was Kane and his team’s earnings because they are all Mist Warriors, each with a luck bonus that, though not apparent elsewhere, never disappoints them in terms of loot drops.
Regardless, this was only the first battle after entering the dungeon, and it was purely a monetary gain.
On average, every enemy seemed to yield around 25 gold coins.
YoYo then continued to report on the Copper and Silver weapons and Equipment.
There were the most Copper Weapons and Equipment, and among them were a dozen or so that could be considered top-tier at the Copper level.
The valuable ones were kept while the rest were sold off for additional income.
There were significantly fewer Silver Weapons and Equipment, only about 20 in total, all of which were deemed lower-grade at the Silver level and also to be disposed of.
Kane and his team had dedicated Space Equipment to store these items destined to be dealt with.
The more valuable Equipment, however, was stored in warehouse-type Space Equipment, a habit they’ve maintained since upgrading to Silver Explorers.
That’s because they had already decided to create their own guild by then, and these would serve as their assets.
Last but not least, were the Magic Materials.
With 500 Silver-level enemies, although they were all considered minions at that level, the sheer numbers overwhelmed that rank.
The exploded Magic Materials, average and small amounts combined, could still charge two Silver Magic Stones.
As for Copper materials, there were countless, which would also be used for charging Copper Magic Stones.
However, Copper Magic Stones must also be stored until the opening of the Guild system.
A significant harvest.
This batch of collected loot definitely counted as a major haul. Selling the useless items and adding the collected Coins would surely result in a fortune.
This wealth wasn’t just limited to money; there were also substantial Magic Stone gains, including two much-needed Silver Magic Stones.
Although there was no usable Equipment.
That’s because the Equipment they currently have is nearly top-tier for their current stage, making it difficult to replace anything they possess.
What’s more, in this battle, they faced almost no risk, the only consumption being Physical Strength and a large amount of Magic Power.
Everyone’s face was lit up with smiles.
The dungeon was filled with gold, and you simply needed enough strength to come in and collect it.
"Good thing, Kreya, you brought us to this dungeon, or else we’d truly regret it," Kane said, turning to Kreya beside him.
Lirulu went even further, flying up to Kreya’s shoulder, hugging her tightly, and then planting a big kiss on her cheek.
"Sister Kreya, thank you so much," Lirulu, the happiest with all this wealth, exclaimed.
She could no longer be called the Spirit of Fairy Tales; she wished she could transform into the Spirit of Wealth.
Due to exhausting her funds, her Fairy Tale World had not progressed after leaving the Mist World Restaurant, falling into stagnation.
She needed a large amount of money to buy all sorts of materials for nurturing.
The most abundant things in this dungeon were exactly what she needed most.
Once they cleared this dungeon with its rewards, Lirulu could already foresee her Fairy Tale World experiencing a massive upgrade.
Seeing everyone’s excited expressions, Kreya was very pleased and did not expect the special dungeon from her hometown to be so extraordinary.
She could only feel relieved she had come over.
If she had missed such a dungeon, she would have regretted it endlessly no matter how rich she became.
Kane packed up all the loot, waiting to leave the dungeon for the final distribution.
Then he followed his teammates toward the soldiers over there.
When they approached, the scene had already changed dramatically.
"When did it become like this?" Kane asked.
Looking at the scene, Longbei was also dumbfounded: "I don’t know, wasn’t it just a battlefield here?"
