Hoodwink hummed in agreement as the person in a Leonair Military Uniform at the top of the stairs cleared his throat. "I apologize but I am going to have to ask that all of the guests stay here during the duration of this investigation. We have determined that the King, Vinnie Leos, and his heir, Crown Prince Etros Leos, are dead and unable to be brought back."

    "In a few moments one of my esteemed royal investigators will come around to interview you. I ask that you be patient and not feel insulted by their line of questions." The man told the room before he turned around and then began speaking with some of the guards who began nodding. Then an attendant walked into the room and quickly walked over the man and whispered in his ear.

    The man then turned in the redirection before nodding and waving the attendant away. He then quickly walked over to them after dismissing the people he was talking to. When he arrived in front of them he gave a slight bow before introducing himself.

    "Honorable Lord Hoods, I hope you do not mind if I, Head Royal Investigator Gaius Trebal, do your group interview first." He then stood up straight and stared them down.

    "I do not mind. I just would like to get back to my ship as soon as possible. Which is why I assume you came straight to us?" Hoodwink responded.

    Gaius smiled and slightly bowed his head, "that is correct. Your ship landed at the port and your other bodyguards arrived. So I thought it would be best to start with your group." He then looked over the four of them who were clearly separated between the two groups. "I will also try to get our guests from the Vexical Empire out of here quickly."

    Jace nodded, "thank you for your consideration."

    Gaius appeared to be knowledgeable and wanted to be rid of the two opposing groups as soon as possible. "Now then, I will need a timeline from all of you. From the moment you landed on this planet. Who would like to go first?"

    "Myself and Spectre Nina can start." Jace answered, "We have less details to go through so it should be quick." Jace waited until Gaius nodded and pulled out a datapad before he started. "Nina and I arrived on the planet at the Royal Capital Spaceport by one of our military transport vessels. After disembarking the vessel went back to our ship. While we were given a military escort to the limo and then escorted to the royal palace. We were then welcomed by a gray haired butler who brought us directly to the King through a second floor entrance and we spoke with him for a bit. Then we were joined by Lord Hoods and Miss Yang. Then we were dismissed and allowed to join the party. Then Lord Hoods and Miss Yang came to join us after speaking with the King for a bit. Then we listened and watched the ceremony and saw them share a chalice of alcohol before spewing up blood. They also began bleeding from the eyes, ears, and nose as well."

    Hoodwink nodded, "well we arrived on the planet two days ago. We landed at the private landing pad that is in the palace. In the same vessel that is there now. We were the only two to disembark. We went straight to the King''s office where I asked a favor of him that piqued his curiosity and he obliged."

    "What was the favor?" Gaius asked.

    "I asked him to send an invitation to the Vexical Empire for the coming of age party today. I knew they would take the bait and send someone since they were already wanting to ask about my testing facility that is on the edge of the Leonair territory." Hoodwink answered honestly.

    Gaius looked at Jace who just shrugged. "Okay… please continue your story."

    "Yes, she was curious about genetically altering for enhancements." Hoodwink answered. "After visiting and talking with her we retired for the night in a guest room.     "Then at lunch I spoke to the King and Queen about Jace and Nina''s unit and my impression of them. Afterwards I went to the slave market and purchased some more slaves and had my ship pick them up. Then when dinner time came around I joined the royal family for their dinner. Then I retired for the night. Then this morning I woke up late and purchased some supplies and sent them to my ship. Then I joined some of the princes and princesses for lunch, but there was something strange about the atmosphere. So then I prepared for the party and I was speaking with some scholars when the king called for me and I came out to join Spectre Jace and Nina. That is just about all that I did."     Gaius gave a slight bow before he walked away. Walking toward another set of tables. Now that the investigators had begun their interviews the people from the third floor and the private rooms on the fourth had been brought down.

    Jace was looking over them and flinched as he overheard something from a disheveled man and woman who came from the fourth floor. Hoodwink noticed where he was staring. "That is the Second Prince and Fifth Princess. They openly oppose the current regime''s tyrannical behavior. They drew a lot of support from lower level nobles and the commoners."

    Jace sucked in a breath of air then spoke. "Seems they do not just share a view of politics. They also share a bed."

    Hoodwink made a noise of surprise. "Well I suppose it does make sense, they are the only two royals with a view like that. But they were both born from the current Queen. Unlike the rest of the Princes and Princesses who were born of affairs and concubines."

    Nina made a few motions with her hands and Hoodwink whistled in surprise. Jace on the other hand chuckled, "yeah I could tell. She is hiding it well, but it appears she is in the very early stages of pregnancy."

    One of the guards stepped forward, "your stories have been confirmed. I have been asked to bring you to the Royal Palace''s private landing pad." He bowed, "if you would please follow me. Lord Hoods, Miss Yang, Spectre Jace, Spectre Nina."

    A moment later Miss Yang was pushing Lord Hoods'' wheelchair while following the guard. Jace and Nina were following them and behind Jace and Nina were a pair of guards. Out of the corner of his eye he caught sight of the Second Prince whispering something while he watched them leave the room.
