Chapter 354 - 333: Mysterious Person
CHAPTER 354: CHAPTER 333: MYSTERIOUS PERSON
"The military advisor is over there." Miao Shaoqing followed Xiao Lin as they chased, with Hua Qingyi trailing behind, shoulders hunched.
A huge explosion erupted again behind them, as the main building collapsed, rocks tumbling down and raising a vast cloud of dust. Some were fleeing, others shouting, but in mere moments, it all became a thing of the past.
Fourth Master pulled Lian towards the mountaintop without looking back at the base she had built with her own hands. It was as if it was just a child’s playhouse, something she could topple and rebuild at will, indifferent to the blood and sweat she had poured into it. She was such a cold-hearted person, a spider with an angelic face.
"Let me go!" the Military Advisor shoved at Fourth Master, his blood-streaked eyes filled with anger.
"How is it possible?" How could the curse she placed on the Military Advisor be undone? She couldn’t help asking, "You’re awake?"
"Black Magic doesn’t have curses that can’t be broken."
Fourth Master was momentarily stunned but didn’t lower her guard. One hand clutched the bottle containing Xiao Lin’s blood, while the other held the Military Advisor tightly.
The Military Advisor, seeing his initial attack fail, launched another strike towards Fourth Master’s bottle: "Dare!"
Fourth Master shouted, and the Military Advisor’s eyes widened. He couldn’t anticipate that such a beautiful woman could unleash a voice akin to a man’s.
A white shadow flew towards the Military Advisor, tightening around his neck, as a length of white gauze wrapped mercilessly around him. His breathing became labored at once. Struggling to pull at the gauze around his neck, he found himself unable to break free, and he was being dragged upwards with a force even greater than he imagined.
Fourth Master lifted her head; she could already hear the whirring of rotor blades and tightened the white gauze in her hand, hoisting the Military Advisor into the air.
A helicopter was parked at the top of the mountain, and seeing the person in the pilot seat, Fourth Master sighed with relief.
"Stop!" Xiao Lin climbed to the mountaintop, following behind, and saw from afar Fourth Master tossing the glass bottle to the person in the pilot seat.
"Angel?" Hua Qingyi, following behind Xiao Lin, couldn’t help exclaiming, pointing at the woman in front of him with his mouth agape, looking incredibly funny, "How can it be an Angel?"
Xiao Lin ignored Hua Qingyi and raised his gun, aiming ahead: "Release the Military Advisor!" he shouted at Fourth Master.
"Our deal is not yet complete."
With a bang, the bullet shot out, but to everyone’s surprise, it flew towards the direction of the pilot seat, pierced through the entire glass bottle, and blood splattered over the person in the pilot seat.
Fourth Master quickly turned her head, anxiously looking at the person in the pilot seat, her eyes filled with inquiry.
"This time it was the bottle; next time it will be the person." The cold voice contained a fierce undertone.
The wind howled atop the mountain, lifting long strands of hair.
"Put down your gun!" Fourth Master tightened her hold on the white gauze, watching Lian struggle. Xiao Lin dropped his gun to the ground.
"Military Doctor, our transaction isn’t over."
Xiao Lin chuckled, "Indeed, it isn’t over!" As soon as he finished speaking, he leaped into the air, like a giant crane soaring, diving towards Fourth Master.
This was not an ordinary person; no, he was not human! Watching as he floated through the air without any support, how could a human do that? Like a bird, more like a flame, he appeared behind Fourth Master with a touch of icy light.
"I said I wouldn’t let you die that easily." The hollow voice, like that of a Hell Messenger, sounded in Fourth Master’s ear. A sharp pain came from the spine at the back of her head, and soon this numbness spread throughout her entire body, every joint experiencing excruciating pain as if about to shatter: "You wanted to know about the Nine Dragons Divine Needle and the Nine Yang True Qi, right? How does it feel?"
Fourth Master couldn’t speak, completely losing sensation, yet the nerves’ response didn’t cut off due to the numbness; instead, this pain was increasing bit by bit.
A powerful gust came from behind Xiao Lin. He didn’t hear any movement, and a tall dark figure loomed above his head, exuding an oppressive aura.
Xiao Lin stared into the other’s eyes; he didn’t move, nor did the other, as their eyes locked in a burning gaze. Then the tall figure took a step sideways, rushed past Xiao Lin, and hurriedly picked up Fourth Master from the ground before returning to the helicopter.
As the rotor blades spun, the helicopter slowly lifted off the ground, spun, and dashed towards the lower mountain, disappearing into the valley.
"Bro, are we just letting them go?" Hua Qingyi chased a few steps and stood next to Xiao Lin.
At the edge of the valley, the wind was strong enough to blow a person away. In the distance, only the tail of the helicopter could be seen, whistling as it turned out of the valley, while the glow of fire receded with the rising sun in the east.
"None of us are a match for that person." Xiao Lin tossed this remark and walked towards the Military Advisor sitting on the side, "Are you alright?"
The Military Advisor hugged Xiao Lin, unable to stop crying.
"It’s alright now! It’s alright now!" Xiao Lin patted Lian’s back, comforting her. Many times he didn’t know how to console such a woman, except to hold her tightly; he couldn’t do anything else.
Unknown when, only Xiao Lin and Lian were left at the mountaintop. Hua Qingyi exchanged a signal with Miao Shaoqing before quietly descending the mountain; after all, he had brought people down there and needed to provide an explanation to Hassan.
"What on earth happened?" Xiao Lin helped Lian up, removed the white scarf from her neck, tidied her hair, and wiped the tears from her face with his thumb, "How did you recover your memory?"
"It must be the blood!" Lian rested her head on Xiao Lin’s shoulder, her black hair fluttering in the wind, while Xiao Lin, bare-chested, felt a bit awkward but was reluctant to move. The fragrance emanating from Lian made him a little dizzy: "I saw the blood flowing, and many scenes appeared before my eyes, but everything was chaotic."
"Alright, let’s not talk about this." Xiao Lin extended his arm and embraced Lian, "It’s cold on the mountain, let’s go down."
"Mm!" Lian stood up, suddenly collapsing to the ground.
"What’s wrong?" Xiao Lin quickly helped her up, placing a hand on her back to slowly transfer his True Qi into her: "Don’t resist."
Lian stopped struggling and quietly let Xiao Lin treat her, only tears streaked her face. She didn’t miss the wound on Xiao Lin’s arm, untreated, and still bleeding.
Xiao Lin furrowed his brows; he couldn’t be sure about the pulse point he found within Lian, which was strangely disconnected. He slowly withdrew his hand, regulated his internal energy, and sat across from Lian. (To be continued.
