Spoiled By My Brothers: Return of The Lost Heiress
Chapter 123: Where is Sera!?
CHAPTER 123: WHERE IS SERA!?
Emma’s POV
Like... when I died. And when her brothers lost everything, those pages were stained with tears.
I still couldn’t make sense of any of it. At this point, I just didn’t know if I should believe it or not.
So, I waited for Sera to wake up, thinking to get an explanation when she’d open her eyes.
But she didn’t wake up even on the second day.
And that was the same day Asher called, telling me he wanted to meet at the Lancaster mansion.
I didn’t want to go. God, I hated that place, and now that I have read such things in the diary related to Asher, I didn’t wish to see his face, let alone go to that place!
But I knew how much Sera still gave a damn about them even when they never deserved it.
So I went straight into the hell Sera crawled out of.
When I got there, the whole mansion was a mess. People running around like they didn’t know what the hell they were doing.
But what I didn’t expect was Lia to be present there as well. She was at my cousin’s home when I left.
It seemed Lia was called too, and was there.
Our eyes locked for a second, but neither of us said a word as we didn’t want to be caught by the Lancasters.
"Emma!!"
Asher’s voice jolted me out of my thoughts, and the next second, he was grabbing my shoulder with a worried look.
I wanted to shove him away from me. But I refrained. I stayed still, pretending to forget whatever I had read in Sera’s diary.
Because I still didn’t know if it was real. If Seraphina was really... reincarnated as she had mentioned. If she really lived through hell once already, and now she was doing it all over again.
Or if it was just her trauma talking after living under to roof with these animals!
So I held myself back and inhaled deeply before saying anything.
"Why did you call me here?" I asked, my brows pulled tight. "And where the hell is Sera? What’s going on?"
I looked past him, at the chaos behind him, when my eyes fell on Alistair, who had almost lost his mind while looking for Seraphina.
He was asking about Sera one by one with the staff.
"Do you know anything about Sera?" Asher asked with a worried tone.
"What?" I acted along with him. "What does that mean?"
"Emma, you are here?" I was still handling the madman Asher, whose eyes were bloodshot as if he had not slept for so long, and here... the other person arrived.
Alistair didn’t look much better than Asher. "Emma, you are Sera’s best friend, right! You must know where she went?"
"What do you mean?" I asked, acting confused. "Wasn’t she here?"
"No! She is missing!" Asher responded as he inhaled deeply. "Mother said that... She went out after she scolded Sera a little but..."
"And do you believe that?" I growled. I couldn’t control myself anymore. "Have you forgotten how many times she got hurt staying here?"
"What did she want to say, Asher?" Alistair pinched between his brows.
Author’s POV
Asher and Alistair came back in a hurry but couldn’t find Seraphina. Even after asking around, no one knew where Sera was!
Furthermore, even after checking the CCTV cameras... it was of no use.
They had almost gone crazy looking about her.
While the staff acted nonchalant and didn’t tell them anything because they were scared of Mrs. Lancaster and unfortunately, the staff Lucien had sent inside the manor was only Lia, who was not there to tell them anything.
Mrs. Lancaster was furious that Sera had run away from home. She wanted to send someone to look for her, but her sons were back.
She could do nothing but act along with them, telling them that they had a little argument, and Seraphina ran away.
In the end, all the staff were called back, even Lia. While Asher had called Emma to be there and they were now talking.
"I’m asking you something," Alistair repeated. "What is she talking about?"
"Here!" Emma sent something on Asher’s cell phone. "You see... I found Sera’s diary in her dorms and... I clicked some pictures."
"What is it?" Asher’s cell phone buzzed as he took it out of his pocket.
Emma clenched her teeth, trying to control himself. She wanted to throw that damn diary on the Lancasters and tell them what kind of monsters they were.
However, she only sent them a few pictures where Seraphina had described the abuse she had been through.
It was from the moment she entered the mansion till her eighteenth birthday, in which she clearly mentioned how cruel Asher was!
He saw her being treated badly but turned a blind eye. Or he was simply unaware of these things.
"Either you change stop looking for her if she really ran away, or you’d better have the power to keep her safe when you find her!" Emma stated firmly.
Asher’s hands trembled when he read the notes. "How... How could it be?" He muttered. "Did... Did Melissa really push her down the stairs that day?"
"I don’t know about you all... But Seraphina... She never lies!" Emma responded. "If she says something, it must have happened and... No one in their right mind would fall from the stairs just like that!"
"What the hell is she saying!?" Alistair still couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Melissa was just sixteen when Sera arrived! How could a child be this vicious?
"You might not know, but there are a lot of things that have happened to her, but she never bothered to mention them..." Emma continued as she glanced at Lia, gesturing her to come forward and tell whatever she had witnessed.
"How... How come I don’t know any of this?" The cell phone almost fell from Asher’s hand. "Is it for real?"
He still couldn’t believe it!!
