Xiang-Nuan woke up the next morning, disturbed by the sounds of someone washing up in the bathroom.

She felt as if her whole body had been taken apart and put back together. Lazily curling up in the quilt, she turned over and sleepily opened her eyes.

Shen Yanshi walked out of the bathroom, buttoning his shirt cuffs. "Did I wake you?"

Xiang-Nuan mumbled a muffled "Mm" and closed her eyes again.

Suddenly, she opened them again.

"What time is it now?"

"Almost nine. I asked Zheng Xuanlin, and you only have an event tonight. What's the rush?"

Xiang-Nuan sat up with a start. "But your company's people are already at work, aren't they?"

"Of course."
