Starting with Growing Mushrooms
Chapter 52 - 49: Trial of the Gods, Xiangtuo Era
CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 49: TRIAL OF THE GODS, XIANGTUO ERA
In a great victory, the enemy army suffered less than half deaths and injuries before they fled.
"Why not continue the fight? We were already close to dying."
"No, if it were the Divine Spirit, we could choose to fight to the death, gain more information about the gods, and exchange for greater exhaustion from them, but now things have changed!"
"Our elders could only live for over twenty years. Each death led to a charge, and sooner or later, we could drink deeply of the blood of longevity and break our short-lived curse, but who knows?"
Now, they are divided into two countries.
As Spore Mushrooms, once they have tasted the feeling of High Wisdom, they can no longer accept the Dumbing Aura of that forbidden place.
So, they choose to extend their life in another way, by killing gods.
They are rational and cold.
"We now face mortals, not Divine Spirits, mere beings with Middle Wisdom, and they really found a way to defeat us!"
"There is only one god who can fight us, and we can eventually defeat it, but they with Middle Wisdom, like us, are endless."
"We must go back and relay this terrible news to them!"
...
A large army began to retreat.
Elves, Titans, Angels, and Giant Dragons, all tribes looked in fear at the enormous Elephant God riding on a Tyrannosaurus.
Under the Cangwu Tree.
This Elephant God, large in size, could no longer return to the tree.
He was covered in blood and sat lazily on the ground, next to a panting Tyrannosaurus, looking up:
"Oh God, I go to suppress the enemy army, from today onwards, there will be no more Wisdom Disaster."
The voice of the Prophet came from the sky:
"Do you know that without my Power of Longevity, your lifespan will decrease, and merged with the short-lived left brain, your life thereafter will not be long."
Die Lvxiang laughed: "If I do not go, this Wisdom Disaster will erupt again. It’s better to become their king, enlighten their wisdom, and establish a new nation."
"They are all rational, and I will bring them emotion, to become true life."
"We are never enemies. When they understand the emotion in our hearts, they will know the true meaning of this monotonous butterfly life."
"This is the Creator God’s trial for us. I will guide the wayward children."
"I want to bring back those lost in rationality and greed."
Die Lvxiang picked up his hammer and long spear, and with the tyrannosaurus, slowly walked away across the plain.
Die Lvxiang walked outward, his formidable pressure made those infected tremble and flee in panic.
"Go back to your hometown, I will find you there."
He slowly sat on the flattened fat Tyrannosaurus as if going to the market on a donkey, leaving the Cangwu Tree behind in the twilight of the setting sun.
Leisurely, he crossed mountains and rivers.
The breeze nuzzled his ears, the wild grass rustled, and he seemed to hear the whisper of the destined god,
"This is my mission."
...
He stepped into the Titan Basin.
Titans crouched in the valley, burning fallen giant trees into bonfires.
"It’s you!"
They looked at the coming figure in terror.
A full moon behind him, he rode the fat dragon, swaying, with his trunk and tusks appearing especially sacred in the moonlight.
"Are you afraid I’ll kill you? No, I won’t kill you."
"Titans excel at strength. Do you dare to compete with me in strength?"
"If you lose, you must try to become as emotional as us!"
"You are addicted to that power, and even in death, you won’t give it up. I do not compel you, just wish you gain another power."
"Then, you will cry, you will laugh, you will dance under the trees. It is a beautiful sight."
The Titans were angry.
They didn’t think there was anything wrong with being absolutely rational. If he forced them, these Spore Mushrooms, to quit their addiction, it was unacceptable even in death.
But since the other side wasn’t going to kill them and wanted a bet, losing only meant gaining another power...
A Titan was unconvinced.
"I will!"
The current King of Titans, Koios, spoke.
"I will wrestle with you with my trunk!"
They sat on the ground, arm wrestling on a platform made of a giant mountain.
As they exerted force, the ground trembled and cracked.
The mountain platform shattered layer by layer under their wrists, with many trees starting to topple, streams on the mountain splashing with water.
Boom!
When the mountain collapsed, King of Titans Koios had already lost, his wrist pressed down hard.
The Titans were full of disbelief, but they were also conquered.
"We acknowledge you as a friend of the Titan Race, a warrior of unparalleled strength, possessing a mighty physique, fearless courage."
The Elephant God invited the Phoenix Emperor and called upon the children on the tree, to personally add a second head of Middle Wisdom to them.
"Ah ha ha ha, laughter is so joyful!"
The Titans wept bitterly, worshiping this towering Elephant God like a mountain, and they laughed and held gatherings, roasting dinosaurs and eating chunks of meat together.
For the first time, the Titans felt so happy.
These infected ones, with a highly developed and absolutely rational civilization, already had their own writing and language.
In the days that followed, they called this elephant god who conquered them the Mighty God Ganesha on the Titan Mountain High.
He was brave and fearless, as the Mighty God Elephant possessed the Divine Power of tearing the earth apart.
...
Turning his head, he stepped into the Elf Forest.
"Before your elders died, I had already killed them, do you still want to resist?"
"Kill him!" shouted an elf.
The terrifying sound of fighting was like thunder.
"Your Elf Race is best at mass-producing and evolving through the Ancient Tree of Life; do you dare to compete with me?"
"Compete we shall!"
Die Lvxiang possessed the rational left brain of a pseudo-genius, and his emotional right brain allowed him to come up with various whimsical ideas.
Combined with the Divine Artifact made from the Evolutionary Magic Carpet, the Divine Hammer of Evolution, he defeated the elves in this evolution research competition.
"You have won."
The elves, defeated at what they excelled in, completely surrendered.
The Phoenix Emperor came again.
The elves began to possess emotions as well.
They also started wearing grass skirts and danced joyfully,
"It seems our lives cannot be filled with mere rationality and absolute profit; we should have more laughter."
In the days that followed, they called this elephant god with great wisdom the God of Knowledge, Ganesha.
The children of the elves believed the Elephant God absorbed and digested various rich knowledge, thus becoming round with a large belly, holding a wealth of knowledge.
But they all believed his weakness was the navel; if attacked there, his knowledge would spill out.
...
Angel Plain.
The Elephant God competed with the angels in flight speed.
The Elephant God used his Wind Divine Object, and his massive ears created a storm.
As the storm roared, the Elephant God seemed to be riding on a giant tempest.
By the time the angels arrived at the finish line, the Elephant God was already lying asleep on a mountain, his mere exhalation causing the angels, small as ants, to be blown backward.
The angels were also affected by this power.
"We are willing to try to have emotional wisdom!"
"We are willing to follow you."
"You are the hope to quell the disasters on this land."
"Quickly bring laughter and joy, gratitude, and compassion to the other races as well."
After gaining new wisdom, little angels and great angels flew everywhere, caring for the slumbering, gigantic Elephant God, repairing his mouth, grooming his hair, and brushing his skin.
Much like the relationship between giant rhinos and oxpeckers.
The little angels named him Ganesha, possessing wind-like speed and storm-like snoring, eternally recorded in their Angel Sanctuary murals, akin to their first Angel King.
...
He then set foot on Giant Dragon Island.
"You dragons hold the violent dragon breath; let me compete with you!"
The Elephant God won again.
He used the power of light to exhale extraordinarily heated breaths, conquering the dragons.
The proud dragons had no choice but to admire him and chose to accept new wisdom, naming him Pebigoni, in dragon language, which means an incredibly intense flame.
...
When this god traversed the earth, the Wisdom Disaster also ended.
The children thereafter received the dual blessings of the Truth Angels and the Phoenix Emperor, bestowing them with dual wisdom.
The living beings on the earth became well-rounded, possessing both the rationality of a pseudo-genius and an understanding, sensible emotion.
But people also gradually discovered.
Because they began having many little thoughts.
Slacking off, making friends, playing, traveling, lacking pure coldness, the level of researching various courses dropped significantly.
And because the left brain can only live for more than twenty years, overall life span decreased; the ordinary beings of this era in the second stage can only live thirty to forty years.
Yet this era became very beautiful.
The name of this Elephant God spread widely across the earth, Ganesha, Ganesh, Pebigoni... each race’s language calling him by different names.
But many, they call his divine honorable name: Xiangtuo Mo.
One by one, the races worshiped their king, possessing the most legendary stories, the greatest achievements, that kindness and benevolence, bravery, and determination.
The children of the earth all say this:
"Xiangtuo Mo is the true creator."
"Xiangtuo Mo transformed us from ugly worms into beautiful butterflies."
"Xiangtuo Mo used power to conquer the Titans, used the Wind Elephant Ear to conquer the angels, used the Hammer of Evolution to conquer the elves, used the Spear of Light to conquer the dragons."
"He is unstoppable, he is our king."
Ten years have passed.
Die Lvxiang, who went down the mountain alone back then, still didn’t ask the brothers and sisters on the tree to come down to help him.
He chose to rule the Titan Race, then ruled the other races through the Titan Race.
One by one, towering Giant Gods appeared, with mouse heads, sheep heads, ox heads, bizarre in shape, all enormous like mountains.
Moreover, although he still had not merged with the Divine Treasures to become a true deity, he became increasingly adept with the powers of wind, light, and evolution.
He rode a Tyrannosaurus, using wind and light as his glory; wherever he went, light shone as if entering his kingdom.
And under his command, War Generals were reassembled.
A divine statue was built, a large-bellied Elephant God with a golden crown on the head, with gemstones embedded like stars in the sky.
Holding Wind Ears, wielding the Divine Hammer of Evolution, the Spear of Light, with a butterfly knot on the forehead, he sat invincibly on a fat rat, a giant lotus blooming beneath the fat rat’s feet.
"This is the most noble emperor."
After the crude and lively bouncing around of the Little Angels Dynasty, the era entered the solemn and majestic Xiangtuo Mo Era.
