Juban’s body trembled violently in the chair he was tied to. Cold sweat poured from his forehead, mixing with the fresh blood dripping from the wounds on his face and body, the result of Aliana’s repeated blows.
His eyes stared nkly at the nano-fiber mask covering Aliana’s face, filled with indescribable fear..
Aliana stood directly in front of Julian, her gaze sharp behind the pitch-ck mask. Her voice was

Julian slightly lifted his head, his eyes full of fear as he looked at her.
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about! Alicia died a long time ago. Why do you keep bringing her up?”
Without warning, Aliana threw a punch at his jaw, a cracking sound echoing from the impact. Julian screamed as fresh blood gushed from his mouth.
“Don’t y dumb!” Aliana snapped. “I remember you once said someone paid you to hurt Alicia.”
“That’s… not true!”
Julian tried to resist, but the tight ropes left him powerless.
“I was just saying things back then. I didn’t—”
Before he could finish, Aliana drove her fist into his stomach, making Julian cough violently, blood sttering again from his lips.
“Still won’t talk?” Aliana growled, yanking Julian’s hair to force his face upward.
Julian shook in terror as Aliana’s terrifying aura enveloped him. His consciousness began to fade from the repeated beatings, but Aliana pped his face hard to keep him awake.
“I won’t let you pass out before you say the name of that person,” she hissed, drawing a small dagger from her jacket.
She pressed the de’s tip against Julian’s cheek, slicing gently enough to cut the
Julian screamed as pain surged through his face, tears streaming down his blood-covered cheeks.
“Please! I beg you, stop…”
Lucas, standing a few steps away, was frozen in terror. His entire body trembled as he watched Aliana torture Julian without mercy. He had never imagined the Nyx he admired could be this cruel. His breathing grew shallow, and sweat soaked through his clothes.
Rafe, noticing Lucas’s state, approached quietly.
“Come on, you should step outside,” Rafe whispered, gently cing a hand on Lucas’s shoulder to calm him.
Lucas turned to him, face pale. Without a word, he nodded and followed Rafe out of the room.
Once the door closed behind them, Lucas could no longer hold his fear. He wet himself, trembling uncontrobly. Rafe looked at him with pity.
“You must be shaken,” Rafe said calmly, giving Lucas a soft pat on the back.
Lucas nodded, embarrassed and terrified.
“I… I’ve never seen anything so brutal before.”
Rafe nodded understandingly.

“You should leave. Take care of yourself and rest.”
Lucas said nothing more. He gave a quick nod and ran away with trembling steps.
Once Lucas was gone, Rafe took a deep breath and returned to the room where Aliaria continued her interrogation.
Inside, the atmosphere grew even more oppressive. Aliana now gripped the dagger tightly, slowly slicing into Julian’s arm, peeling his skin open. Blood poured from the gash, drenching his arm and dripping onto the floor.
“Enough ying,” Aliana whispered coldly as she leaned closer to Julian’s ear.
“Who ordered you to hurt Alicia? I might spare you if you tell the truth.”
Julian, now nearly unconscious, still refused to speak, biting his lip until it bled. Aliana, out of patience, pulled a small vial from her jacket pocket. It contained a bluish liquid. She held it up in front of Julian’s eyes.
“Do you know what this is?” she asked softly but menacingly..
“This is Dextrocyanide Poison. The effect is slow but excruciating. It kills you gradually, destroying your organs one by one. Especially when mixed with alcohol… like what you drank earlier.”
Julian’s eyes widened in terror. He stared at the vial, his lips trembling violently. True fear now seeped into every corner of his body.
“No. Please… don’t give me that,” he choked out, his tears now mixed with the blood dripping from his wounds.
“I’ll talk… please, don’t use the poison.”
Aliana gave a thin smile beneath her mask and leaned closer.
“Then talk! Who ordered you to hurt Alicia?”
Julian hesitated, torn and terrified. But as Aliana lifted the syringe filled with the poison, he gave in. In a broken voice barely above a whisper, he said,
“Bi-Bianca Lorraine. She paid me. She wanted me to ruin Alicia’s life.”
Aliana took a deep breath, her rage intensifying. She had long suspected Bianca’s involvement, but hearing it directly from Julian made the mes of vengeance burn even hotter.
“Good,” Aliana hissed, slipping the poison vial back into her jacket.
“You finally spoke.”
Julian slumped, gasping. His eyes were ssy and barely conscious from the blood loss and pain.
Rafe, who had remained silent, stepped forward.
“Miss, what do you n to do next?”
Aliana looked at Julian coldly, then reached again for the prepared syringe and moved it toward Julian’s wounded arm.
Seeing that, Julian panicked. His eyes bulged as he struggled violently against his restraints.
Please-I told you the truth! I beg you, forgive me! Don’t do this!” Julian cried out desperately, tears streaming down his bloodied face.
Aliana didn’t care. The rage burning in her chest left no room for mercy. She moved to inject the needle into Julian’s body. But just before the needle pierced his skin, her phone vibrated in the pocket of her jacket.
Aliana paused. She recognized the call asing from her primary phone-the one used by Elena, Andrian, her parents, or others who knew her as Aliana Zavier.

She took a deep breath, trying to rein in her emotions as the phone vibrated again after a short pause. It could be an emergency. She couldn’t ignore it.
Slowly, Aliana polled the syringe away from Julian, then harshly grabbed his jaw.
“You’re very lucky tonight,” she whispered threateningly. “But we’re not done yet.”
Aliana stepped back and locked eyes with Rafe.
“Secure him here for now. We’re not finished with him.”
“Yes, Miss.” Rafe replied with a curt nod.
Aliana turned and exited the room swiftly, without the slightest trace of sympathy for the battered and bloodied Julian. Behind her mask, her face was hard and resolute. She swore not to let Julian, Bianca, or anyone involved in hurting Alicia go unpunished.
“They must feel the pain Alicia went through,” she whispered.

Once outside the warehouse, Aliana climbed into the car driven by Rafe. She sat in the back seat, removed her nano-fiber mask, and began restoring her appearance. Her breathing was still heavy, emotions far from settled.
Suddenly, her phone vibrated again. Aliana nced at the screen and saw Elena’s name. As she was about to answer, she noticed a missed call from her father, Ethan Zavier, along with several messages from him and one from an unknown number. Suspicion and confusion stirred in her chest, but she chose to set it aside for now.
Aliana answered Elena’s call. “Hello, Elena? What’s going on?”
Elena’s voice sounded panicked and uneasy. “Miss Aliana, pleasee back to the pavilion immediately. Mr. Ethan keeps calling. He’s furious and demands to speak with you. He said if you don’t answer, he’lle straight to the pavilion himself.”
Aliana frowned. “What happened? Do you know why he’s acting like this?”
“I don’t know, Miss,” Elena replied nervously. “Mr. Ethan didn’t say anything specific, but he sounded really angry. I’m afraid something might happen if you don’t return soon.”
Aliana took a deep breath, trying to think clearly.
“Alright, Elena. Don’t worry. I’m on my way back now.”
“Thank you, Miss. Please hurry.” Elena’s voice sounded slightly relieved, though still worried.
After the call ended, Aliana stared at her phone, uneasy. Something serious must have happened for her father to act this way.
When Rafe got into the car, Aliana immediately signaled for him to drive her back to the Velor family pavilion.
The distance was far, and Aliana only arrived near dawn. Thankfully, she managed to nap a bit in the car, so her face didn’t look too worn despite theck
of sleep.
Aliana quietly slipped in through the same small path she had used to leave. She changed back into the maid uniform she brought, ensuring no one noticed her. When she entered through the back door of the pavilion, Elena-who had been nervously pacing all night-immediately recognized the maid as the disguised Aliana. A look of relief softened her face.
Still, Elena stayed cautious, pretending to give orders like to any regr servant.
“You, bring this tea to Miss Aliana’s room,” she said, handing over a tray with a teapot and cups.
Aliana nodded and took the tray as any maid would, walking calmly upstairs, making sure no one suspected her movements. Once she reached her room, Elena, who had followed her, took the tray from her hands with a guilty expression.
“I’m sorry, Miss. I had to make you carry the tray. I was afraid someone might see you,” Elena said apologetically.

Aliana shook her head slightly. “It’s fine, Elena. I know you did it for my sake.”
After setting the tray down on a small table, Elena suddenly remembered something. She rushed to Aliana with concern on her face.

“Miss, you’re not hurt, are you? Thest time you left in secret, you came back wounded. Please allow me to check on you,” she said earnestly, beginning to examine Aliana from head to toe.
Aliana rolled her eyes slightly, annoyed by Elena’s excessive worry.
“Elena, I’m fine. Nothing happened this time. Don’t worry so much,” she said calmly, removing her cap and maid uniform.
Elena sighed in relief once she was sure her mistress wasn’t injured.
As Aliana continued changing into her nightgown, Elena began telling her about what happened in the pavilion during her absence.
“I told everyone here you were feeling unwell and didn’t want to leave your room. Luckily, no one got suspicious or asked questions. Especially since Mr. Andrian didn’te homest night, so no one noticed your absence,” Elena exined.
Aliana didn’t pay much attention to what Elena said about her husband. She remained silent as she changed clothes.
Elena continued in a more anxious tone, “What worried me most was Mr. Ethan, your father. He kept calling all night. I’m really scared he’ll show up here and find out you weren’t in your room.”
Aliana paused, her brows furrowed. Hearing about her father stirred unease again. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her unsettled mind.
“I’ll contact him soon and ask what he wants. But right now, I need to rest before I face him,” Aliana said softly but firmly.
Elena nodded in understanding, then quietly stepped out of the room, giving Aliana space to rest after the long and exhausting night.
