STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 432: Returned!
CHAPTER 432: RETURNED!
City C (14th Zone):
Ron Night and Petra’s father exchanged a glance. Petra’s father couldn’t conceal his shock.
Ron Night quickly gathered his thoughts. He turned to his son and said, "Let’s go."
Jeremy nodded in response. The three of them left the area and rejoined the group a few minutes later.
Ron Night remained mostly silent. He should have warned the others, but the shock of his son’s actions was overwhelming. He was still processing it.
Petra’s father was equally stunned. He looked at his daughter, wanting to say something. Finally, he told her to return home safely.
Ron Night then composed himself and instructed his son to stay safe. Afterward, he left with Petra’s father.
At that moment, everyone stood in the outer area.
Most eyes were fixed on Jeremy Night. The two City Governors hadn’t mentioned anything about the worm beasts before departing.
Jeremy noticed their gazes. He gathered his thoughts and turned to address them.
"The Tier-5 worm beast escaped back underground. The remaining Tier-4 worm beasts were killed," Jeremy announced.
Hearing this, everyone sighed in relief, assuming the two City Governors had eliminated the remaining corrupted beasts.
Unbeknownst to them, Jeremy Night had slain them all.
Jeremy considered something and added, "Let’s head back to the city."
Petra and Levy agreed, visibly stressed and eager to return home.
A few minutes later:
Six flying cars began their journey back to the city. Everyone had endured a terrifying experience, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
The team was safe and sound, now returning to the city.
About 20 minutes later:
The six flying cars entered the city. Soon after, they parted ways, each heading to their respective families.
Jeremy told Petra and Levy he would meet them later at Central University 14.
The three flying cars of the Night Family arrived at the Night Family Mansion and landed inside the estate.
Jeremy stepped out and thanked the Head Guard and the other members.
The Head Guard had fought bravely alongside the others against the Tier-4 worm beast. He commended the team before heading inside the building.
The Head Guard was elated. He and the other members chatted animatedly. Some, who had missed the action, began asking about the fight.
The Head Guard recounted Young Master Jeremy Night’s exploits, describing how he confronted the Tier-5 worm beast.
Though they knew Jeremy was defending at the time, it was no small feat. His actions had stunned the City Governors.
The Head Guard spoke proudly about it. Those who hadn’t been present were shocked, unaware that their young master had grown so strong in such a short time.
A year ago, Jeremy Night was still in high school. Now, he was capable of facing a Tier-5 worm beast.
The staff and maids quickly caught wind of the news, which spread like wildfire throughout the mansion.
Nora Night heard about it from her husband, Ron Night. She was utterly shocked. Unlike the servants’ discussions, the account she received from her husband was far more detailed.
Her son had fought the Tier-5 worm beast until help arrived. Then, he had cut down the Tier-4 worm beasts with ease, as if they were nothing. At first, she couldn’t believe it and confirmed the details with her husband.
When she learned it was true, pride swelled within her, mingled with a hint of fear. Despite being only a Tier-2 Beast Tamer, her son had the strength to confront a Tier-5 worm beast.
She worried about the battles he might face in the future. He had only just survived the Beast Invasion, yet here he was, facing a Tier-5 beast.
Her concern deepened as she considered the existence of the Tier-5 worm beast in City C. It posed a significant threat. If left unchecked, it could trigger a situation akin to another Beast Invasion.
Meanwhile:
In his room, Jeremy Night was also thinking about the Tier-5 worm beast. He couldn’t understand how such a powerful creature had been living in City C undetected.
They had already provoked the beast, which had fled, wounded. If it sought revenge, it could strike again.
Jeremy believed the two City Governors’ failure to kill the Tier-5 worm beast was partly due to his presence.
He had come to City C to spend time with his family, not to encounter such a crisis. Determined not to let the beast live, he began planning to face it again.
To do so, he needed specific items to take it down. His starlight energy alone wasn’t enough to kill the beast. In City A, he could have purchased the necessary equipment.
A spark of determination flashed in his eyes. He wasn’t out of options. He could travel to City A to acquire the items and return to face the Tier-5 worm beast.
With newfound clarity, he decided to leave for City A the next day.
Meanwhile:
In the city administration, the three City Governors were discussing the Tier-5 worm beast. Unknowingly, their descendants had been the reason it emerged.
Even they were unaware such a beast had been living near City C. Despite their efforts, the beast had escaped underground, demonstrating its formidable power.
At the same time, Petra’s father was preoccupied with another thought: Ron Night’s son, Jeremy, and his remarkable combat strength.
Jeremy had effortlessly killed the Tier-4 worm beasts before their eyes, as if he had done it many times before.
Petra’s father glanced at Ron Night, eager to discuss it. He knew Jeremy lived in the 10th Zone, and now he understood why.
With such combat prowess, Jeremy Night was undoubtedly a valuable asset to the organization.
Ron Night noticed Petra’s father. He knew what was running through his mind. He was in the same state of shock.
At the same time, Levy’s father sensed something was wrong. He immediately asked both of them, "What’s wrong?"
Petra’s father quickly recounted what had happened out there. At first, Levy’s father remained calm, but his expression changed soon after. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
