CHAPTER 500: MAKING A DEMAND!

City A (10th Zone):

Jeremy Night uses the cab to reach the Beast Taming Association a few minutes later. To his surprise, Audrey Reed was waiting for him.

He furrowed his eyebrows. He decided to ask her in detail about the mission.

"Jeremy Night, thanks for coming," Audrey Reed said with a smile.

"I have decided to help you. But I still don’t know about the mission. I hope you will clarify it. Why would you need red pine woods?" Jeremy Night asked her.

Audrey wasn’t surprised. She knew Jeremy Night would ask her this question. No one would put their life at risk.

"Actually, Red Pine Wood is one of the ingredients with medicinal value. Not many people knew how to use it."

"My family got old medicinal notes. From there they learned how to use it. But the stores don’t have red pine woods."

"You can only get it yourself," She explained.

Jeremy Night’s eyes glinted with understanding. But she still doesn’t know why he was needed. Before he could ask her.

She said,"The Red Pine trees are located near the core area border. No one in our family was ready to go. Including the Elders are denying it."

"They still have the fear of the Colossal Beasts," She added.

Hearing that Jeremy doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He is a Tier-2 Beast Tamer. Yet he is hearing the higher tier beast tamers are afraid to do this mission.

Audrey Reed sighed in her heart. She could tell that it’s hard for Jeremy Night to believe. But it was the fact.

Don’t know why the Elders are against the idea of going near the core area border. These elders have families behind them.

If they fall, it could lead to turmoil in the family.

She then said,"Jeremy, it’s you. If you can do this, then you will be rewarded."

Jeremy fell into contemplating. It’s not like he was not scared of that place. He had made a great escape from the clutches of the Tier-6 and Tier-7 Corrupted beasts before.

He knew that no Colossal Beasts lived at the border. They can be only seen in the centre of the core area. The incident he faced last time taught him a valuable lesson.

It’s hard to survive without a proper weapon and armour suit. Especially, he is just a Tier-2 Beast Tamer.

He got a rust blade for use. Though it looks shabby. He feels something extraordinary was hidden.

Next, he nodded to her and thought of demanding higher tier armour suit. His eyes flickered. He looked at her and said,"My battle armour suit was damaged. I need a new one."

"I’m not going to the border area without one," he added.

"Armour suit," Audrey uttered.

But she thinks it was genuine demand. No one would be foolish to go to the border area. Even her own family elders are unwilling to do so despite having life saving treasures.

"Give me a minute," After saying that she walked away a few distance further to call her father.

Jeremy Night frowned. Leader Gisela told him to leave right away. He thinks the order comes from Head Neil.

He doubts whether both of them knew about the content of the mission. More importantly, the Reed Family is trusting him.

He knew he had the reputation of slaying Tier-4 Corrupted Beasts. But it was totally different against the Tier-5 and above corrupted beasts.

He thinks that Audrey is naive. The Tier-5 and Tier-6 Beast Tamers can fight against the Corrupted beasts and retrieve red pine woods.

It’s just that they don’t want to take risks. More importantly, he thinks that the Head of the Dante Family wants to make use of him.

So it would be cheaper if he demands nothing from them. He thinks that a higher tier battle armour suit was the best reward.

With that he can enter the Inner Area to hunt in future.

On the other hand, Dante Reed was shocked. He had thought that kid would do the job without asking for rich rewards.

But he was proven wrong. He thinks that Head Neil Moon had seen through his thoughts. He didn’t explain much about the mission to him.

Yet Head Neil Moon found out the truth. He thinks that if he refuses this demand. The kid will reject the mission.

The Elders are even more afraid to do the mission. They are scared of their lives. If they lose their lives, it will be set back to their factions.

He finally made a decision to give a higher tier battle armour suit. He will send someone from the family to deliver in a few minutes.

After the call, Audrey returns. She told Jeremy Night everything. Jeremy was surprised. Then he realised he was right from the beginning.

Dante Reed had ulterior motives. He shakes his head and looks at Audrey Reed. He thinks she doesn’t know about this matter.

He said,"Alright, I’ll wait here."

Audrey’s eyes lit. "Thanks for accepting the mission," She uttered.

Jeremy nodded to her before calculating the value. He thinks that higher tier battle armour suits could cost millions.

If he needs to buy on his own, then he has to complete more than a hundred missions. But this type of work is earning him more.

He thinks he should get connected with more Beast Taming Families like the Reed Family.

It didn’t take long for someone from the Reed Family to come. He is carrying a black box with him. The black box has a battle armour suit in it.

The middle aged man opened the box before his eyes. The next second, he saw a black color battle armour suit in it. He also sees battle marks in it. It was not new but a used one .

There are scratches everywhere. His eyes flashed with disbelief.

"Old fox," Jeremy cursed in his heart.

Even Audrey Reed was ashamed. She got fooled as well.

The middle aged man noticed it. He immediately said,"Young Miss, the family elders objected to the new battle armour suits to send out."

"Harumph," She gave a cold snort.
