CHAPTER 534: PART 2: GREEN HEART STONE

Jeremy Night is moving like a wind. He is using explosive steps. He didn’t even dare to look behind. He was afraid that those tree roots could catch up to him.

The woodland seems to be unending. He didn’t expect the core area to have a wide variety of terrains.

"No wonder, Colossal Beasts are living here," Jeremy thought.

Soon, he saw the end. There are no more tall trees. He continued sprinting. Soon, he came to the end of the woodland.

But the scene in front of him stunned him. He sees a vast wet land stretched across endlessly. He uses his eyesight to observe the place.

He sees a low land soaked in wet waters and covered in small types of plants, grasses and reeds. The daylight makes it clear.

Otherwise, it’s hard to discern them during the night time. He once again uses the day light to check the direction.

This direction leads to the city. Maybe after crossing the wet land he could reach the inner area.

Boom!

A loud noise disturbed his thoughts. He turned around and saw the monstrous tree roots darting towards him.

The size of the tree roots were enormous. They are sweeping away the tall tree roots along the way. The Tree Root appears to be ten times larger than before.

The transformations occurred after consumption of the lingering scent of the Green Heart Stone.

Seeing that Jeremy Night made a decision. He immediately entered the wet land. He is taking steps on solid ground.

The speed will be hindered if he sprints on the wet land. So he is moving on the solid path.

Boom!

The monstrous tree roots are still darting towards the target. They have tasted the unknown power of the Green Heart Stone.

They have followed the traces behind to come here.

Swoosh!

Jeremy Night is sprinting. He is using the eye ability at the same time. He is scanning the terrain to find the safe hideout.

Suddenly, he sees a cave structure. He immediately sped towards the spot. When he arrived at the cave. He spotted beast footprints.

He took a deep breath.

Boom!

The monstrous tree roots didn’t stop. They soon arrived at the end of the woodland. The next terrain is different.

Jeremy is curious to see whether they would enter the wetland. To his surprise, the monstrous tree roots stopped right there.

"Phew!"

He breathed in a sigh of relief. He was afraid. The monstrous tree root created a visual impact. It’s definitely not a Tier-6 Corrupted Beast.

It must be above the Tier-6 Corrupted beast. Jeremy then turned around and walked inside the cave structure.

He was vigilant. He didn’t see any corrupted beasts so far. But the footprints are real. Maybe the beast could return later.

After recovering his energy, he will continue the journey again. So he didn’t go deeper. He found a place near the entrance and sat down.

He closed his eyes and began to observe the mental zone. The unknown beast egg is still absorbing the green energy from the Green Heart Stone.

It’s been some time but the size of the Green Heart Stone remained the same. His heart stirred. He didn’t know what kind of treasure this was. But he memorized the appearance in his mind.

Then he spent an hour before exiting the cave structure. He wanted to spend the night here. But the place was not absolutely safe.

After walking out, he uses the day light to find the direction. He wants to find the next safe hideout before the sun sets.

Swoosh!

He continued to cross the wet land. The wet land seems to be stretched endlessly. It’s filled with the reeds and tall grasses. But he knows he is getting closer to the inner area.

But he came across a new problem soon. It’s hard to find a solid path. The swamp is getting larger and wider. It’s filled with muddy ground and shallow pools.

If he wanted he could move through the swamp water but it’s nothing but dangerous. It’s hard to find firmer grounds in normal times.

He then picked a long stick. Then he started moving using the long stick. At the same time, he is using eyesight to find slightly raised areas.

Then he started moving through those raised areas.

Time flew by,

He eventually crossed most of the swamp areas. He will soon reach the end. Fortunately, he hasn’t encountered any corrupted beasts so far.

Boom!

Suddenly, he felt a tremor from the ground. He lost balance and fell down.

At the same time, a massive crocodile emerges above the swamp water. The crocodile is over 40ft in length.

There is another crocodile that walks out from the muddy soil. Both the crocodiles were confronting each other.

Jeremy felt a cold shiver went down his spine. He just thought that the swamp area was safe. But he didn’t expect these two monstrous beasts to hide in the swamp.

Maybe they took him as a small fry. The next second, he started using the stick to move. He doesn’t want to be caught between the 2 Corrupted Beasts.

Boom!

The 2 monstrous crocodiles started fighting with each other. Their collision is creating an impact. The shock force spreads across the area.

The swamp terrain filled with reeds and tall grasses are being overturned. The fierce fight has alerted other terrifying beasts in the vicinity.

They are not going to approach this place. At the same time, the terrifying tree roots are still hiding at the other end of the swamp.

They didn’t forget the scent of the Green Heart Stone. Unfortunately, the fierce fighting between the 2 monstrous crocodiles forced them to retreat.

Swoosh!

Jeremy was swept by the wet land water. The force sent him forward. Fortunately, he didn’t resist. He knows how to go with flow.

He is using the shock force caused by the 2 powerful beasts to move forward. He doesn’t know how many times he was swept by the muddy water.

He has eventually reached the end of the swamp and found himself on the firm ground.
