CHAPTER 554: CUNNING BEASTS!

"Senior Black, why don’t we call people from the City A?" Carl asked.

"They have their own wilderness surroundings. Unless, Human Alliance gives permission. They won’t come out to help," Black said.

"So let me first check out the situation. If things are really that serious, the Human Alliance can’t ignore the threat," Black added.

Governor Chloe said,"Since you have decided. I’ll accompany you as well. In case of an emergency, we can escape from their trickery."

"I’ll be waiting here to help," Carl replied.

He understood that no one can stop Governor Black once makes a decision.

"There is no need for you guys to come. The higher tier beasts can sense the threat. If they know there is no powerful presence in the city, they will be alerted," Governor Black said.

Hearing that Chloe and Carl exchanged helpless looks. Governor Black is senior to them. They have to listen to him.

Black saw that they had become silent.

He nodded his head and said,"Since it’s decided I’m going out in the middle of the night."

The midnight time comes. The whole city is quiet except for some busy parts. Governor Black didn’t use flight ability.

Like other Beast Tamers he is walking over towards the City Gate. He had already informed the City Guards.

Soon, he reached the place. Upon seeing his burly body and black hoodie. They recognised him. Then the city guard pretended to be verifying. Then he allowed him to leave.

Governor Black walked through the gate and stepped into the wilderness. His gaze swept across. He frowned. Because he found the number of beast tamers are less.

He immediately thought of those families. Before they could give any official statement. The officials have decided to send their family beast tamers later.

A cold glint appeared in his eyes. He knew if the Beast Invasion happens. Then this family can’t hide back from their responsibilities.

Then he started going towards the wilderness. The city guards are watching him leave. None of them spoke anything.

They knew about the recent incidents. Many beast tamers have died in the wilderness. Their bodies were not found yet.

The city guards were scared. But right now, they were relieved that Governor Black is going to investigate the incident.

As he disappears into the wilderness, he is moving towards the lair of the purple gem snake. Because the series of deaths caused by the purple gem snake.

He wanted to kill at least one before leaving. In a flash, he covers a large distance. He reached the inner area.

As he went towards the lair. He came across an unidentified corpse. Most of them are half eaten. He began to investigate them one by one.

He knows purple gem snakes like to swallow food. They won’t waste anything even if it’s a bone.

"What are these cunning beasts planning?" Black asked himself.

He knows that there is more than one type of Corrupted beasts living in the wilderness. The city faces a beast invasion crisis from those beasts as well.

But reports show that there is no activity from them. The casualty was less on their side. He shakes his head and continues to check a few more corpses.

Along the way, he found a similar cold dry corpse. The blood was completely sucked out. A similar black hole mark was seen.

His heart filled with hatred. As he continues with his search. He came across more such corpses. At this point, there is no speculation.

"Blood Steel Mosquito," He uttered the words with hatred.

One of the things got terrifying after mutation was mosquito species.

Due to some strange occurrences a few mosquito species were able to become higher tier beasts with human level intellect.

They were capable of producing terrifying mosquito corrupted beasts. Among such mosquitoes, one of them happen to inhabit this wilderness and grow.

They have their own lair. It’s called the Blood cave. There is no light inside the cave. k if Tier-8 Beast Tamers enters the cave, he would face a hard time to leave the cave in one piece.

Governor Black’s gaze hardened. The direction of the blood cave was not this one. He is going to the Purple Gem Snake lair.

Now that he encountered the evidence of the Blood Steel Mosquito. He collected the corpses into the storage ring for evidence.

If the news reaches those families that Blood Steel Mosquito has emerged, then they will be terrified.

He continues his walk. It didn’t take long for him to find another clue. By following the corpses he came to a trench.

The trench was created by ground beasts. Governor Back then flew over to check the trench. But when he saw what lies in the trench.

"Wretched things," He shouted with hatred.

The trench is filled with corpses of the human Beast Tamers. There is a clear sign of purple gem snake prints on the ground.

Right then, a hissing sound comes. A 20ft head emerges from the dense vegetation from the opposite side.

The Head alone is larger than human height. The overall length of the purple gem snake is over 80ft.

If it stands tall, it would be equal to a 100ft towering building.

Governor Black recognised the snake. It’s one of the Purple Gem Snakes. It’s a Tier-7 higher tier beast.

Yet its potent venom can kill Tier-8 Beast Tamers and harm Tier-9 Beast Tamers. That’s why the Human Alliance is not sending out help right away.

They need a Tier-9 Lord who can take down Purple Gem Snake. Otherwise, the snake venom can harm Tier-9 Lord. It will cause damage to the Human Alliance.
