CHAPTER 555: MAKING DECISIONS!

9th-Zone, B-City Wilderness:

Hiss!

The snake beast started charging forward to attack. In a flash, it crossed over the trench and started to attack with its snake fangs.

Its huge monstrous body appears before Governor Black. He knew confrontation was unavoidable.

Boom!

The next second, he brought a huge black shield in front of him. The size of sheil is almost human adult height.

Right then, the snake fangs struck the shield. He took a few steps backwards.

Hiss!

The purple snake beast momentum came to a halt. While hissing it watches the huge shield. Two Purple dents can be seen on the shield.

The fangs are so powerful that it almost tore through the shield. Not only that, purple venoms ejected from the fangs are corroding the shield.

If Governor Black was not careful, he would have been poisoned right now. His face looked solemn. He came to investigate but he discovered ugly truth.

He wants to go back. If he continues to fight here, it will attract other beasts. He had ordered Chloe and Carl to stay back. So he can’t expect any help.

Swoosh!

While staring at the purple snake. He is retreating.

Hiss!

The purple snake didn’t leave the trench. It slowly watches human beast tamer go. When the human beast tamer disappeared from its sight.

The purple snake moved back to the trench.

Governor Black is going back to the city. He had retrieved the corpses before the purple snake appeared.

He thinks the corpses were enough to prove Blood Steel Mosquitos involvement.

It didn’t take long for him to reach the city. This time he didn’t hide his whereabouts. He directly flew over the city wall and headed straight towards the city administration.

The guards at the city gate heaved a sigh of relief. They were worried that a big incident might occur. Now that Governor Black is back. They can be at ease.

But they didn’t know Governor Black had returned because of the Blood Steel Mosquitos. If the guards were to know it would send a cold shiver down their spine.

The blood mosquito insect beast is a nightmare for local people. It’s hard to deal with it.

Swoosh!

A few minutes later,

Governor Black comes back to the main building. Governor Chloe and Carl are already waiting for him.

"Senior"

Both of them greeted each other.

Black sat down in the main seat and turned towards others. His grim expression made the other 2 nervous.

"Senior, what happened?" Chloe asked.

Carl is looking at him with a solemn face as well.

Governor Black straightened his back. He then looks at them.

"I have discovered the traces of Blood Steel Mosquito," Black said in a cold tone.

"Blood Steel Mosquito," Chloe uttered in disbelief

"Impossible, there is no movement from the blood cave," Carl added.

It’s unbelievable for them. But they knew Senior Black wouldn’t say it without evidence. That makes them more afraid.

"I know. It’s hard to believe. But it’s true," After saying that he started recounting things to them.

10 minutes later,

Governor Chloe and Carl are quiet.

Tud!

Governor Black then put the dried corpses on the floor. The clear sign of blood sucking was on the corpses.

Swoosh!

Both Chloe and Carl appeared in front of the corpses. They have started inspecting it. They can tell whether the corpses were recent or old.

Their lifeline beasts can easily tell the difference.

Governor Black is watching them inspect. But he is already thinking about the next course of action.

He decided to ban people from entering the wilderness. He knows this comes with a risk. The hungry beasts can attack the city in search of food.

But it would be worse if beast tamers continued to die in the wilderness. Their strength will be reduced. You can’t say that corrupted beasts won’t attack the city then.

Then they will become easy lambs to slaughter.

"Senior, I’m convinced. Let’s send the evidence to the Human Alliance and City A. They will send man power right away," Chloe said.

"Yes, senior. Purple Snake is dangerous. But these blood steel mosquitos are even more dangerous. We don’t know how many higher tier beasts appeared this time," Carl said in a grim tone.

They are Tier-8 Beast Tamers themselves. Not only that, they have the support of the Tier-8 Lifeline beasts. But still they are wary of the corrupted beasts.

"Okay, I’m going to take care of that. You guys should release a statement saying that no one should enter the wilderness from next morning."

"Those who have entered should come back immediately," Black said to them.

Both the City Governors nodded their heads.

Matteo Mansion:

Next morning, Jeremy does his usual routine after getting out of the bed. He then practises imaginary training.

Brother Lucas told him to check out the training facility. He was quite reluctant to use their facility. But he doesn’t have another choice right now.

He doesn’t want to cause problems because of their rival family. He made up his mind to visit the training facility here.

Time goes by,

Jeremy is ready to leave an hour later. Right then, he got a message that Nico had come. He smiled and left the room.

Then he comes to the living area and sees Butler. He inquired about Elder Matteo. He told him that Elder Matteo was still with the main family.

Then he walked outside and saw Nico Rossi.

"Brother Jeremy, cousin Lucas asked me to take you to the training facility," Nico said.

Hearing that Jeremy raised his eyebrows in surprise. It saves his time. Then both of them left the place and started walking over to the training facility.

They crossed a few narrow streets and came to another broad road. There are houses on both sides of the street.

"The houses belong to the Rossi Family members," Nico said.

Jeremy nodded to him.

Buzz!

Just then Rossi’s device buzzes with the modification. He takes out the device to check.

"What?" He uttered.

Before Jeremy could ask anything. Nico turned around and said,"Brother Jeremy, we can’t enter the wilderness anymore. There is an official statement from the city administration."
