CHAPTER 564: PART 1: BEAST INVASION (9TH ZONE)

9th Zone, B-City:

Jeremy and the others were patiently waiting. All of a sudden, everyone heard a hissing sound. The hissing sound was not caused by just one beast.

Many snake beasts had started hissing. The Tier-7 Purple Snakes decided to attack. The team sent by the Blood Steel Mosquitoes and Vine Beasts had arrived.

They would launch the attack at the right time.

At this time, the lower-tier Purple Snakes sped forward. Their speed was so fast that they reached the patrolling lines.

Behind them, the Tier-5 and Tier-6 Purple Snakes emerged. Everyone was attacking at the same time.

The sky bird was a Tier-8 Lifeline Beast. The massive body was over 7 meters with a wingspan of over 9 meters.

Governor Chloe stood on the bird’s back.

The next second, the Snow Tail Sparrow shot out large ice spikes towards the forest. The spikes reached the ground in a flash before striking the earth.

In an instant, it froze over hundreds of purple snakes.

Governor Carl was not silent either. He landed on the ground. The next second, he brought his Lifeline Beast outside.

It was a Tier -8 gigantic crocodile. Upon appearance, the crocodile swung its long tail. The wind force generated by the tail quickly hit the purple snakes.

Jeremy Night unsheathed his blade. His senses were heightened. His gaze never left the purple snakes attacking his team.

Kara and Melody were fighting together. Both of their cats were coordinating together.

The purple-black cat swiftly appeared behind a Tier-3 snake and cut off its head. The sharp claws severed the head easily.

The silver gray cat was not outdone. It was striking the other purple snakes with its claws.

Jeremy Night was impressed. He could see that both cats had their unique abilities. The purple-black one ended the life of Tier-3 snakes in one move.

But the silver gray one was using both claws to attack.

Then he noticed something with his eyesight. The claws of the purple-black cat were glowing. He immediately turned towards Melody.

He thought it must be her talent, which was making her Lifeline Beast’s attacks deadlier. Then he looked at Kara. Her silver gray cat was rather fast.

It was moving energetically around the purple snakes to strike. The seniors were doing so well. They were not letting a single beast escape towards him.

Jeremy then turned towards Seniors Dan and Tom. Dan’s Lifeline Beast was purely known for defense. But right now, it had turned into an armored ball to crush the lower-tier snakes.

The other flame lizard was taking the initiative to strike. The lizard was spitting fire. It was making it uncomfortable for the snakes to get near them.

They were acting perfectly as a team. Then he saw the middle aged man, Ben. His expression turned solemn.

Because Senior Ben was facing a Tier-4 Purple Snake. Its poison was enough to kill him. On this battlefield, no one had time to take care of the injured.

His Lifeline Beast, the massive bull with the stacked body, was letting out steam through its nose. The bull was not afraid at all.

Suddenly, he heard a loud scream. Jeremy turned towards his right side. He saw a Tier-4 Purple Snake had bitten the senior.

His skin turned purple in the blink of an eye. He fell down to the ground. The Tier-4 Purple Snake then leaped at the others. The whole team was in disarray.

Seeing that, he immediately took his handgun out and started covering the bullets with Starlight power.

The bullets in the magazine were coated in Starlight power.

The next second, he started firing at the Tier-4 Purple Snake. He aimed at those vertical pupils.

The Starlight bullets went across in a straight line before piercing the eyes and head of the purple snake.

He usually fired one shot at a beast. This time, he fired three shots. Three of the Starlight bullets drilled holes into the Tier-4 Purple Snake’s head.

Because of the chaotic battlefield, they didn’t have time to say anything. They continued fighting.

Jeremy was not expecting anything. He turned to help out the others. There were quite a few city guards struggling against the Tier-4 Purple Snakes.

Jeremy had already spotted a Tier-5 Purple Snake. It was up to the Captains and their Higher ups to take care of them.

So, he started shooting at the Tier-4 Purple Snakes coming out of the forest.
