CHAPTER 582: HELP KEEPS COMING

Underground Flower Bar

A middle-aged woman was speaking with her friends. Among the group, three were female and two were male.

The men came to the door and opened it to walk out. Then, they saw the young Tier-2 Beast Tamer. Their gaze fell upon the young man’s face.

One of them immediately recognized Jeremy Night.

"So, you are the young beast tamer who was rescuing people some time ago," he said.

Hearing that, his friend was shocked. He, too, had heard about it, but he had never seen the face online. Both of them got excited.

Jeremy Night sighed inwardly. These people had already seen him.

He said, "Yes, it’s me. I need a place to rest so that I can help others when there is time."

Hearing that, the two men looked at each other. Then, the three women and the female staff member came to the door.

They saw Jeremy Night as well. The women recognized him immediately.

"It’s you!"

"We saw you in the media."

"You have saved a lot of people."

The three women started speaking excitedly. The female staff member was surprised; apart from her, everyone knew about Jeremy Night.

"What’s going on here?" she asked.

Then, her friends showed the video footage to her, a footage of a young beast tamer rescuing people from the rubble.

The female staff member watched the footage. Her eyes glinted with understanding.

"Alright," she said. "You can come inside. We have an extra room."

Hearing that, Jeremy sighed in relief and thanked the woman and the others. They welcomed him inside and showed him to the room.

The rooms were located on the first floor, while the bar was located underground. After showing him the room, they took him downstairs.

Like the shop’s name, it was an actual underground chamber. It was a bar with open space for people to party and enjoy themselves.

After seeing the underground chamber, he went back to the first floor. The first floor was a wide and spacious living area with small adjacent rooms.

After some talk with the others, he entered his room and locked the door. His gaze fell on the compact room with an attached bathroom.

After checking the place, he wasted no time and rested on the bed.

Matteo Rossi Family

Matteo Rossi was speaking to his son, Lucas, in the study. He had found out that his long-time friend, Neil Moon, had arrived from the 9th Zone.

Instead of visiting him and staying there, his friend chose to stay in the accommodations arranged by the City Governors.

Lucas noticed his father’s expression. He knew what had happened. His father had failed to take care of Jeremy Night.

Jeremy Night had volunteered to participate in the battle, but they were too late to find out about it. His father tried to help them, but the Head of the Rossi Family refused to intervene.

Matteo collected his thoughts and looked at his son.

"Did you find out anything else?" he asked.

"Father, I just spoke with Nico Rossi. He told me that Jeremy Night is going to be with Head Neil Moon. It appears that they have already met each other," Lucas replied.

"It’s over. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but it’s going to be difficult to ease the relationship. We can’t go against the Head of the family. Let’s see what happens," Matteo replied.

Lucas didn’t know what to say. Nobody expected a beast invasion to occur, let alone three different types of beasts joining hands to attack them.

Now that Tier-8 Beasts had woken up, they didn’t know what would happen next.

Lucas turned towards his father and asked, "Father, do you think the Human Alliance will send someone to help?"

Matteo collected his thoughts as he heard his son’s question.

"They will send help. There are Tier-9 Beast Tamers who have special abilities. A few of them are immune to poison, so the purple snake poses no threat to them," Matteo replied with confidence.

Lucas now understood why everyone was looking forward to the Human Alliance’s help. They didn’t have any Tier-8 Beast Tamers with such abilities.

That may be why they were struggling against the three Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts.

Outside

Head Neil Moon and his friends helped a lot of people move into the bunkers. The city was built in such a way that there were hundreds of bunkers everywhere.

It was done for emergency crises, and today was one such day for them. The Tier-8 beasts could launch an attack at any time.

Because of the current ceasefire, the people shifted without any problems. Otherwise, it would have been hard to do in a war-like situation.

After doing that, the group returned to the city administration building. While the whole city was awake, they couldn’t be careless.

As Tier-8 Beast Tamers, they had to be careful. The power surge coming from the wilderness was real.

Head Neil Moon and the others quickly met with the City Governors and had a brief discussion.

Then, the group entered the rooms arranged by the officials. Head Neil Moon was in his room. He called Jeremy Night and inquired about his whereabouts.

After learning that Jeremy Night was staying in a small bar building for free, he was surprised. He realized that the kid had made friends outside the Matteo Family.

He relaxed and put his heart at ease. After ending the call, he saw many missed calls and unread messages from Matteo Rossi.

His eyes flashed with anger. He chose not to call back.

The following day, City B received more and more help. Many flights from other zones touched down at the airport.

Many Tier-7 and Tier-8 Beast Tamers were coming to the city. Because of the influx, they moved their discussion to the big meeting hall.

Head Neil Moon was in this meeting as well. He had never seen such a crisis meeting before, not even during their own beast invasion.

He thought that people were terrified of the threat posed by the three Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts. The Tamers could withstand them, but the locals’ lives were at risk.
