Chapter 583: Tier-8 Blood Steel Mosquito awaken
CHAPTER 583: TIER-8 BLOOD STEEL MOSQUITO AWAKEN
9th Zone, B-City
Jeremy Night was in his room. After waking up, he went through his morning routine. He then sat cross-legged on the floor to practice.
However, he could only practice slowly because there was no practice room there.
Time went by.
He quickly found that it was a waste of time; his starlight power had not yet fully recovered. He needed a proper practice room.
So, he ended the session, stood up, and began to get ready.
An hour later,
He walked out of the room and met with the staff members. He thanked them for their help.
He had expected the city to be under attack at any moment, but to his surprise, no such thing had happened.
It was good news. The people could recover from the damage, and it gave the City Administration time to come up with a good plan.
The staff members wanted him to stay, but Jeremy kindly declined their request. However, he promised that if he had time, he would come back.
After bidding them goodbye, he left the underground bar place and headed toward the City Gate.
While walking down the street, he saw that piles of rubble were being removed. Compared to yesterday, there was less dust and debris.
He also noticed locals coming out of their shelters to help with the recovery. They must have thought the invasion had stopped.
Jeremy thought otherwise; the restlessness from yesterday was not over yet. He still felt something was about to happen, though he didn’t know when.
After crossing several streets, he arrived at the City Gate. His gaze fell on the city wall and watchtowers.
The commanders, City Guard Captains, and city guards were doing their duty, though everyone seemed much more relaxed than yesterday.
He crossed the street and went to the Admin Building. It was not empty today; staff were present. He even found the old man who had given him the new handgun and bullets that day.
The old man suddenly turned and met his gaze. Taken aback, he became excited and walked up to him.
"Kid, what are you doing here? I heard you did a good job yesterday," the old man said with a smile.
He never expected the kid he had helped to attract the attention of the entire city with his work.
"Senior, thank you for your kind words. I was just doing my job. Now, I have come for the practice room," Jeremy said.
Hearing that, the old man nodded and went to check if a room was available. He returned shortly.
"Kid, you are lucky. There is one room available. Come inside; the Captain won’t say anything," he said.
Jeremy smiled and walked into the building. There were guards in the room, and the City Captain was speaking to them. Jeremy’s arrival caught his attention; he stopped talking and walked over.
"Kid, you did well yesterday. I hope you will fight against the Corrupted Beasts with the same attitude," the City Guard Captain said.
Jeremy Night thanked the captain and stated his purpose.
"You can use the practice room," the Captain said.
Jeremy nodded to him before following the old man to the practice room. When he arrived, he thanked the old man before entering.
Creak!
The door closed automatically behind him. He flipped the switch, and natural energy from the surroundings began to fill the room.
The natural energy was pure. He sat cross-legged on the ground, closed his eyes, and started practicing the breathing method, the Inner Healing Method.
The natural energy entered his body. As it circulated, his cells absorbed the energy greedily. Jeremy could feel his body absorbing it, so he continued the process.
Buzz!
The unknown egg inside his mental zone began to vibrate. The egg started to siphon the natural energy in the room.
...
Meanwhile
Head Neil Moon and his friends were patrolling the city. The city was now recovering. The City Governors were waiting for help to come from the Human Alliance; they didn’t dare enter the wilderness again.
Neil immediately thought of Jeremy Night. He didn’t know what the kid was doing right now and decided to call him later.
Buzz!
The next second, he received a call. It was none other than Matteo Rossi. Neil Moon’s eyes flashed with anger. He ignored the call and continued to move with his friends.
...
Wilderness
The Tier-8 Vine Beast and Tier-8 Purple Snake had returned to their territories because the Tier-8 Blood Steel Mosquito had not made an appearance.
They decided to wait. If the Tier-9 Beast Tamer appeared in the city, the Corrupted Beasts would know.
Blood Cave
In the deepest part of the cave, the Blood Steel Mosquito was resting. The Tier-8 beast was over six meters in size.
Its body was a dark red color and harder than other beasts; its legs and wings looked as if they were made of steel.
The Tier-8 Blood Steel Mosquito suddenly opened its eyes. Its compound eyes reflected the cave through many lenses.
The beast immediately sensed the situation. The Blood Cave was large with many passages where other beasts lived.
The Tier-8 beast found something wrong; the number of beasts was lower than it should have been.
It immediately made a sound, summoning another beast. In the blink of an eye, a Tier-7 Blood Steel Mosquito appeared.
The Tier-7 mosquito looked smaller than the Tier-8 and trembled in fear. It hadn’t expected the Tier-8 Blood Steel Mosquito to wake up and felt the immense pressure.
The Tier-8 Blood Steel Mosquito started asking the questions. The Tier-7 Blood Steel Mosquito was scared. But it started responding to the questions.
The Tier-8 Blood Steel Mosquito was actually bloodthirsty. Its compound eyes were on the Tier-7 Blood Steel Mosquito.
As the beast continues to listen, it has found out that purple snakes have caused problems this time.
Not only have they caused problems but they have dragged the blood steel mosquito into it.
The Tier-8 Blood Steel Mosquito was very angry. But it has already felt the presence of the Tier-8 Vine Beast and Tier-8 Purple Snake.
