Strongest Necromancer System
Chapter 256: Primordial Bias
CHAPTER 256: PRIMORDIAL BIAS
"The weapon created by this Lich is considered to be very dangerous, so keep in mind that should that weapon fall into the wrong hands and cause any problems for the worlds in this Primordial Domain, then you will have me to answer to. The world has seen to it that our paths would cross today, and I am certain that they shall cross once again in the near future. When that happens, I hope you will be more open towards me. I would very much like to learn more about you in more... favourable settings. Come then, let us continue on our journey."
Hesabeth’s last words were directed to the soldiers around her as she turned around and walked back to her carriage, and Jason raised a brow when the carpet under her feet began rolling itself up while following after her. The armed men gave Jason dirty looks from atop their magic beasts, and Jason just smiled at them before waving them away with his sword. Jason knew that he was antagonizing them pointlessly, but they had been rude to him first, so he didn’t feel the need to act civilized! One of the armed men almost reached for his sword when he saw Jason’s cocky grin, but another one beside him told him to stop, and they all finally moved to catch up to their Queen. Jason watched as the Queen entered the carriage, and then the two maids entered after her. The carriage door closed after the carpet rolled inside, and the entire procession began to move once again.
Jason finally released a tense breath as he sent some of his subordinates through the shadows and told them to follow the carriage until they left this world. Jason did not like the way that woman looked at him at all! It was almost like she was trying to look through him, and Jason could tell there was some madness somewhere inside those eyes.
’Who the fuck was that woman, and what the hell is a Council of Nine and One?’
Jason asked this to the system, and the system immediately brought up a new tab.
[The system has suffered significant strain from its efforts to block the ’Primordial Expanse’ from influencing the user’s mental facilities. Please stand by as it attempts to rejuvenate itself...]
Jason raised a brow in surprise when he read this. Jason didn’t know that the system was being pushed so much in just that short time. Was his woman really that strong? Jason waited calmly for the system to give him an answer, and after a few seconds, it finally responded.
[The Minori Queen is not a powerful individual in the conventional way the user is familiar with. In fact, she has never displayed any feats of power beyond what an S Rank is capable of. Instead, what she possesses is a power that can subvert and redirect all other forms of power in order to bend them to her whims. Queen Hesabeth was born with a unique ability known only as ’Primordial Bias’, and just like the name suggests, it grants her a significant level of bias in all actions or events occurring around her and ensures all things work in her favour. Just like the current situation; the user attacked and killed the Lich for his own reasons, but the user also happened to take care of a monster that Queen Hesabeth wanted dead at the moment that she wanted it to die. The Primordial Expanse bends reality and causality in order to ensure her needs are met.]
Jason was stunned! What the actual fuck was this!? The Primordial Expanse bends reality to meet the whims of one person!? That was absolutely fucking broken! Was that why Jason kept feeling the urge to adore Hesabeth? Was the world making sure he didn’t try to harm her?
’This had to be some sort of magical power that she has. Maybe she’s an empath or a telepath? That would explain the emotions, right?’
[No, the system is certain that Queen Hesabeth did not attempt to control the user in any way. The mana that attacked the user came from a source far stronger than anything in this dimension. Queen Hesabeth is literally incapable of performing such a high-level attack. In simple terms, Queen Hesabeth is the favourite child of the Primordial Expanse. In order to properly explain this, the system will recall some history that had been saved in its database. One hundred and fifty years ago, when Queen Hesabeth was still only the young daughter of a Duke, she was commanded by her father to marry the King of the Minori in order to raise their family’s standing in the world. Queen Hesabeth did not approve of this marriage, but her father insisted, and she eventually married the King. But only two hours after Queen Hesabeth was crowned as Queen, the King died of natural causes, and since he had no heir, she became the ruler of her world. There was no coup, and no challenger rose to question her ascension. In another instance, a parallel world declared war on the world of the Minori due to some trade disputes and they were attempting to invade the world, but on their journey, the army accidentally stumbled into a Rank V world, and every single soldier was killed in seconds. This gave Queen Hesabeth complete control over all the trade routes around her world and increased her world’s strength and fortune beyond belief.]
[Queen Hesabeth never needs to worry about anything that happens around her because the Primordial Expanse simply ensures that all events line up in a way that would favour her without any effort on her part. Those instances are only two of hundreds of such events concerning her across the Primordial Expanse. She is someone that even the most powerful beings tend to steer clear of due to the unpredictability of her power. The system strongly suggests that the user does not make an enemy of that woman unless the user wishes to fight a battle of survival against the entire Primordial Expanse.]
Jason ran a hand over his face and let out a tired sigh in response to this. Jason already knew that the Primordial Expanse was filled with beings and creatures beyond human understanding, but this had to be the most insane thing he had ever heard. No wonder Jason didn’t feel any power from Queen Hesabeth when they were talking earlier. She never needed to learn how to grow her mana level or even defend herself because she had never been in any real danger before. The Primordial Expanse was protecting her, so why would she need to be strong? Jason shook his head in disbelief before asking the system to explain what the ’Council of Nine and One’ was.
[The ’Council of Nine and One’ is a gathering of beings from the more powerful worlds across the Primordial Expanse. It is made up of ten members who all hail from Rank III and Rank IV worlds, with a single member acting as the Supreme Overlord who heads the council. They serve as a political body in charge of creating and managing laws to govern the worlds under their control.]
’And how many worlds are under their control?’
[From previous data, the system believes they control an estimated three hundred thousand worlds in total. But that number would have most likely increased.]
Jason frowned in irritation as he finally asked the most important question.
’Is Earth under any of these Supreme Beings?’
[Earth is a part of the Primordial Domain overseen by the Sixth seat in the council of Nine and One, the king of the Machina race.]
Jason clicked his tongue in irritation and cursed!
"Fuck."
[Yes, fuck indeed.]
