Chapter 323: You Really Don’t Feel Anything!?
CHAPTER 323: YOU REALLY DON’T FEEL ANYTHING!?
Jason looked around with his new eyes, and he saw that the Falcons flying over the sky were filled with white wind-type mana, while the dragons attacking each other were filled with dark-red fire-type mana. Jason looked down at the sword in his hand, and he saw that it was swirling with purple mana constantly. And when Jason looked to his right, he saw a dark orange outline of a person with only one arm!
The outline was covered with a strange white aura that was flowing out from a necklace around the figure’s neck, and Jason immediately knew that this artefact was what had prevented him from sensing Jaraht before. Jason immediately turned in Jaraht’s direction, and he wasted no time as he activated the [Death’s Mirage] and raised the blade over his head!
TWOOM!
The blade elongated as the screams of the dead filled the battlefield, and Jaraht was shocked when he noticed that Jason was looking right at him! Jaraht had been using an SS Rank cloaking artefact that would allow him to move around without alerting anyone’s senses, and he was sure that even Jason wouldn’t be able to see through it! How in the world did Jason notice him!? That one moment of shock was enough to stall Jaraht’s movement for a moment, and that moment was all Jason needed to complete his attack!
[Sword Slash]!
Woosh!!
The sword came down with enough force to split the earth down the middle, and it tore through Jaraht’s body like a knife through butter!
——
The user has killed [1] Radagan Dragonborn
+1000 Kill Points
——
Through repeated action, the user has created a new, unique skill [Sonar]
——
[Sonar: This skill allows the user to concentrate a significant amount of mana behind his optic nerves in order to easily track all magic sources in his surroundings. This skill was replicated from the cultivation technique known as [Qi Sonar] that was created by the thousand-year virgin cultivator, Esdath. Therefore, it can be easily recalibrated to allow the user to view the movement of Qi rather than mana.]
This skill is evolvable.
——
Jason released a calm breath as he stopped the sonar technique, and he felt his mana returning to its regular state! His eyes bled from black back to their regular white, and Jason turned to glance at where Jaraht’s dead body was meant to be. Jason’s eyes suddenly narrowed, and he cursed when he saw that Jaraht’s body had disintegrated into a pile of ash! Jason walked over to the body, and he looked down at it with a complicated expression on his face! The only thing going through Jason’s mind at that moment was whether or not he would be able to resurrect a fucking pile of ash!
Jason put his hand over the pile of ash, and he sent out a pulse of mana as he called out!
"Resurrect!"
Doon!
Jason’s mana surged towards the pile of ash, and it grabbed onto Jaraht’s soul and dragged it out from the pile!
——

Jason released a calm sigh once he saw Jaraht’s soul standing in front of him! Jason had been worried that it wouldn’t work, and he knew that he would’ve suffered a serious loss if he couldn’t resurrect Jaraht! But Jason looked down at the pile of ash, and he had another realisation at that moment! Jason wouldn’t be able to use the [Necrotic Reanimation] skill on Jaraht’s dead body since it had been disintegrated by the sword! Jason clicked his tongue in irritation once this thought crossed his mind, and he made a decision that he would limit his use of the [Death’s Mirage]. Most of the people that Jason fought could be killed easily using the [Common Dragonsteel Sword] or the [High Dragonsteel Sword], so Jason was just going to use those ones for his regular battles. The only time Jason would use the [Death’s Mirage] was when he was in a battle against someone stronger than him, and he needed the boost from the sword’s unique properties.
’I’ll try to complete the other fights against any generals without using the sword. He was strong, but that doesn’t mean he was undefeatable. It would’ve been harder, but I would’ve still found a way.’
Jason shook his head to get rid of those thoughts before he calmly decided to let it go. The main reason Jason used the sword was because he wanted to learn what it could do, and now that he had learned what he wanted to, he could choose the best time to use the sword in the future. Besides, they weren’t done with their battle yet, so Jason quickly got his mind back into focus.
’Hohoho! So you managed to use it for a few seconds! You might not be able to use the technique for a long time since it takes a while to master, but I’m sure you’ll figure it out in a few days at most!’
Esdath suddenly spoke up from within the sword, and Jason huffed as he activated the [Mana Sonar] skill once again. His vision blurred into a landscape of bright colors against a black background, and Jason deactivated the skill again before saying.
’I can use the technique just fine.’
’Eh...? R-Really? Well, just be sure not to push yourself too far. Using it causes serious pains in the eye and drains your mana, doesn’t it?’
’Nah, I don’t feel any pain, and it doesn’t use any mana.’
Jason checked the skill by activating and deactivating it again, and he nodded when he really didn’t feel any pain. His mana was also stable, and Jason saw that he was losing only one point of mana a second, but Jason’s mana regenerated even faster than that, so he wasn’t losing anything at all. At this rate, Jaosn could leave the skill on indefinitely! Esdath sounded like he had just swallowed a lemon!
’What...? You really don’t feel anything? No mana drain? No pain? Really!?’
Esdath was shocked when he heard that Jason hadn’t felt any pain after reactivating the technique! Esdath could still remember the first time he created that technique! The pain he felt whenever he used it was so intense that he almost thought his eyes were going to fall out, and the only thing that pushed him to keep mastering it was how useful the technique was! How in the world was Jason able to use it already!? Was Jason some sort of prodigy mage? That had to be the case! There was no way anyone would be able to learn something faster than him! Jason heard Esdath mumbling something incoherent, and Jason decided to ignore the old man, and he just tossed the sword back into the Alternate Dimension.
Jason turned around to see how the battle was going, and he smiled when he saw that his subordinates had already killed most of the enemies. While Jason had been busy with Jaraht, the subordinates hadn’t been idle. There were only fifteen members of the Radagan Royal Army in this town, so even though they were strong, they didn’t stand a chance against the sheer might of Jason’s Legion. Gina had taken control of the air forces that were fighting against the dragons in the air. They had already killed ten of the dragons and eleven dragonborn, so there were only nine enemies left for them to take care of!
Jason turned to watch Gina as she flew through the sky. Gina knew that their first priority was to bring down all the dragons to prevent them from flying away, so she made Jason’s Legion focus on attacking the wings and eyes of the Radagan dragons so they couldn’t fly away.
