CHAPTER 2240: CHAPTER 2238 INSIDE THE MINE

The cave entrance is sealed with formations, and there should be strong individuals nearby. Peter Brown understands that the possibility of an average person escaping from here is almost zero.

While walking towards the mine, Peter found that it was pitch dark inside. However, for a cultivator, even after being sealed, they could still see up to ten meters ahead.

Peter didn’t continue forward; he found an abandoned mining area and sat cross-legged inside.

As the vast elixir sea energy surged, the places where Peter had been sealed suddenly shattered.

Having regained great power, Peter breathed a sigh of relief; it had been a long time since he’d experienced something like this.

With the seals broken, Peter’s vision expanded completely. In a glance, everything here was like daylight; there was nowhere Peter couldn’t see.

After taking out and examining the Killing Saints Formation from the center of his elixir sea, Peter felt even more reassured. This formation was clearly usable here.

Peter was most worried that the techniques he used in the first heaven might not work here. Now, seeing there was no issue, he truly felt at ease.

With cultivation and formations, he somewhat had some power to protect himself.

Now Peter was most concerned that he knew nothing about the matters of the second heaven, nor did he know what kind of cultivation the strong individuals here had.

Since there are many cultivators in this mine, Peter decided to gather some information about the outside world here.

After contemplating for a while, Peter made his decision.

After meditating for a while, Peter ventured further into the mine.

Curious about the minerals needed even by strong cultivators, Peter shared the same curiosity.

After walking for a day, Peter suddenly noticed movement ahead.

Cautiously approaching, Peter saw a group of people doing something there.

Even though Peter made little noise, he was still discovered by the people inside.

"Who’s there?" A loud shout echoed, and those sitting stood up.

Peter wasn’t afraid of them; he walked straight over.

Upon entering, Peter saw a very large space inside, and there were wind blade-like energies traversing through it.

The people were standing away from the wind blades and, one by one, looked at Peter with vigilant eyes.

Seeing that someone had entered, everyone visibly relaxed.

"Capture him."

Before Peter could speak, the leader, a burly middle-aged man, shouted, and five people charged towards Peter.

No words were exchanged; each held a mining hoe and came at Peter fiercely.

These people’s attacks were brutal, each with the intent to eliminate Peter.

Peter hadn’t expected them to act this way; without a word, they attacked. It was obvious that if he were weak, they would have killed him directly.

Seeing the situation, Peter refrained from speaking nonsense himself; with a focused gaze, he extended his hand and charged towards them.

These individuals were clearly sealed cultivators; facing Peter, they hardly had any power to resist and were directly suppressed by Peter.

Boom, boom, boom!

Peter landed a punch on one of them, yet Peter didn’t wish to harm them; otherwise, none of them would have survived.

Even so, those five took a severe beating from Peter.

"Stop, spare us, senior!"

Nobody had expected this outcome; all five lay on the ground, looking towards Peter with eyes filled with fear.

Peter hadn’t intended to kill them; he only stopped after they pleaded, and then he began observing the wind blades situation himself.

Peter had seen these in the Demon Clan’s domain, but those were magical spells used by demonic cultivators. Here, surprisingly, they appeared naturally, invoking Peter’s deep curiosity.

After examining for a while, Peter made a discovery; these wind blades didn’t appear naturally but emerged from the stones on some walls.

When Peter reached out to feel them, even as strong as he was, the wind blades still hurt him somewhat, slicing his hand sharply.

At this point, Peter felt he should ask these people.

Looking at the five who still gazed at him fearfully, Peter asked, "Why did you attack me?"

Upon hearing Peter’s question, the five were taken aback; this query left them unsure of how to answer. They knew that whenever someone discovered these spiritual stones, it led to frenzied looting, and killing became natural. Yet, this person chose to ask instead.

However, they also knew they were facing a strong person and couldn’t afford not to answer. The leader, the middle-aged man, reluctantly said, "Senior, we thought you wanted to snatch our spiritual stones, so we acted."

"Spiritual stones?"

Peter’s gaze returned to the stones, and he noted they seemed to have spirituality; perhaps sensing danger, they were moving towards the stone wall, seemingly trying to escape.

With a stretch of his hand, Peter collected the stones and put them into his storage bag.

Seeing Peter’s actions, a few of them sighed inwardly, knowing that this time the spiritual stones were no longer theirs.

"Sit down, let’s talk a bit."

Peter gestured in front of him, inviting them to sit.

None dared to defy Peter’s will; cautiously, they sat before him.

"Were you all captured here?"

"Yes, we were captured many years ago, and it’s impossible to leave here!"

Speaking of this, all five sighed.

"What are these spiritual stones? Tell me about the situation here."

"Senior wasn’t captured here?"

The five looked at Peter with puzzled expressions.

Peter glared at them, saying sternly, "Don’t ask what you shouldn’t."

Peter’s words scared them again; they really didn’t dare to further inquire about Peter’s situation.

Subsequent exchanges proceeded in a question-and-answer format; although the five didn’t understand why Peter was asking about second heaven matters, they told Peter everything they knew, truly leaving nothing unsaid.
