Summoning Players into My Game
Chapter 250 - 204: Rewarding You with a Big Watermelon (Combined Part)
CHAPTER 250: CHAPTER 204: REWARDING YOU WITH A BIG WATERMELON (COMBINED PART)
"What’s going on? So excited, did she sneak a melon from the Hall Master’s lounge?"
"Sneaking a melon is impossible. What kind of NPC is the Hall Master? She could easily kick us out permanently. Even if they’re given a hundred guts, they wouldn’t dare to steal the Hall Master’s melon."
"I just saw the two of them going in with two big storage boxes on their backs, probably a mission reward."
"A mission reward is just a melon? Are veteran players really struggling this much now?"
The new players watching Lin Xinyao carrying a big watermelon, with a wide grin, suddenly felt that grinding in this game too quickly might not be a good thing. The mission reward being a big watermelon making veteran players so happy clearly showed their minds were overworked.
Meanwhile, Lin Xinyao rushed up to the second floor, arriving at Lu Fanchen’s lounge.
Inside, Lu Fanchen, who had just resurrected, was organizing his insights on the Heaven-Shaking Fist on the table, preparing to submit them to the Martial Arts Hall to earn Mentor Points and upgrade his Mentor Level.
Currently, there are only two ways for players to quickly earn Contribution. The first is hunting monsters in the wild; a head of Initial Stage monster is worth five hundred Contribution, a Middle Tier monster one thousand five hundred Contribution, and a High Tier monster five thousand Contribution.
As for the second way, it’s teaching NPCs. A one-star tutor earns two thousand Martial Arts Hall Points and one hundred Contribution for a two-hour class. This hundred Contribution in two hours might seem small, but it is stable.
If you teach for twelve hours a day, that’s a stable six hundred Contribution, not as much as a Middle Tier monster, but more than an Initial Stage monster.
And now in the wild, Initial Stage monsters are almost non-existent. Or, they’re just feed for Middle Tier monsters. Encountering an Initial Stage monster is luck; most encounters are Middle Tier monsters.
Ordinary Martial Artists can’t take down Middle Tier monsters, especially since these monsters are always in groups. Even those with Level One wilderness exploration privileges find it difficult to kill even one in a night, unless using a Desert Eagle-like Super Electromagnetic Cannon for precise strikes within a hundred meters. It can quickly deal with Middle Tier monsters, but the Desert Eagle consumes too much Energy Crystal Stone, making it not an ideal method for quickly earning Contribution and becoming a Core Disciple.
Martial Artists can also hand-craft a Super Electromagnetic Cannon and engage in close combat with Middle Tier monsters, but the result is often mutual destruction. Even if a cannon kills a Middle Tier monster, a single claw from the monster can still take the player’s life, even if wearing B2 Level Battle Armor.
If it were just mutual destruction, it would be okay, but monster corpses quickly become food for other monsters, leaving nothing to gain and costing a life. Not to mention, Middle Tier monsters move in groups of three to five, making it extremely difficult to find a lone one.
Because of this, many veteran players are focusing their efforts on upgrading their Mentor Level.
A One-star Tutor earns a hundred Contribution per class, but a Two-star earns two hundred Contribution, and a Three-star earns four hundred Contribution per class. A Four-star can earn eight hundred Contribution per class. Teaching can provide a stable 4800 Contribution a day, far surpassing hunting as an Initial Stage Martial Artist.
And upgrading the Mentor Level involves not only teaching NPCs but also submitting self-created complete Martial Arts; a Fifth Rank martial art rewards fifty Points, a Sixth Rank two hundred Points, a Seventh Rank five hundred Points, and an Eighth Rank one thousand five hundred Points.
A One-star Tutor needs one hundred Mentor Points to upgrade to Two-star.
Two-star to Three-star requires four hundred Mentor Points.
Three-star to Four-star requires one thousand Mentor Points.
Four-star to Five-star requires three thousand Mentor Points.
Simply creating an Eighth Rank martial art, or two Seventh Rank martial arts, can immediately make someone a Four-star Tutor, speeding up Contribution earning tremendously.
"Xinyao, how did it go? Is the mission completed?" Lu Fanchen, seeing Lin Xinyao walk in with joy, was curious if this mission was completed, considering he wasn’t sure how much Molten Fire Crystal a ten thousand units were.
If they couldn’t get enough this time, they’d have to try a few more times in the future.
"Completed, and over-completed. The Hall Master even gave an extra reward," Xinyao nodded.
"Extra reward? What’s the reward?" Lu Fanchen inquired with anticipation.
"It’s this." Xinyao took out a giant green watermelon, larger than a basketball.
"A big watermelon as a reward?" Lu Fanchen looked at the watermelon in Xinyao’s hands in disbelief.
"No! This isn’t an ordinary watermelon; it has attributes." Xinyao repeated what Lin Qi said, "Eating an eighth of it raises the Blood Qi cap by 30% for six hours. With our First Layer Breathing Technique at 100% proficiency, with this watermelon, we might break through to Martial Artist today."
The three of them had long redeemed their Second Layer Training Technique; the energy stimulation of the Second Layer was also very proficient. They were just one step away from completing the full-body energy stimulation.
"Become Martial Artists today?" Lu Fanchen’s eyes lit up with excitement.
As long as the three of them become Martial Artists, their Mythical Paradise would catch up with Celestial Might.
Immediately, the three cut the watermelon, each taking two pieces back to their room to begin the Martial Artist breakthrough, leaving the remaining two pieces carefully stored in a specialized refrigerated storage box for rewarding other contributing guild members in the future.
While Lu Fanchen and others were aiming to break through to Martial Artists.
Elsewhere, on a mountain ridge over sixty kilometers from Red Moon Mountain, Xiaoyuan and Fang Zhen each held a B2 Level alloy shovel, digging around the mountain.
"Just like you said, Xiaoyuan—it seems this metal vein should be a B3 level Secret Silver Ore. I didn’t expect you could find it," Fang Zhen looked at the immovable silver-gray ore with the B2 Level alloy shovel, his eyes full of joy.
The B3 level Primordial Ore can be made into B4 level alloy with just some added materials, making it extremely valuable.
"My offline friends, who are geography experts, analyzed the geographic data I sent them of this area and thought there might be a vein here. I didn’t expect it to be B3 level Secret Silver Ore," Xiaoyuan laughed. "See, cooperating with me paid off."
"More than paid off, it’s a huge gain," Fang Zhen nodded, looking at the massive mountain.
Xiaoyuan, always working alone, though teaching a few newcomers and often teaming up, couldn’t alone claim such a large mining mountain, so she came to cooperate. Once they become Core Disciples, they’d seize the mountain together. Selling Secret Silver Ore would make a fortune during the Descent of High Martial, solving any worries about cultivation resources.
Just as they were talking, the sound of a transport vehicle reached their ears.
"Someone’s coming!" Fang Zhen looked towards the direction of the sound.
They saw large transport vehicles moving toward the Secret Silver Ore mountain, bearing the Ten Thousand Stars City emblem, showing these were city people, not some wild gang.
"Why are people from Ten Thousand Stars City coming here?" Xiaoyuan looked curiously at the approaching large convoy—absolutely over forty vehicles, a large convoy.
When the transport vehicles parked at the mountain base and a large group of mining-clad people disembarked, Xiaoyuan and Fang Zhen’s expressions changed.
"Damn! They’re here to steal our mine!"
