Super Soldier in the City
Chapter 1814 - 1875: Overbearing Official Authority
CHAPTER 1814: CHAPTER 1875: OVERBEARING OFFICIAL AUTHORITY
Seeing Li Yifei, Wang Shoucheng paused for a moment, feeling like he had seen this man somewhere before, but he couldn’t recall. Perhaps it’s because he had seen too many people; it’s inevitable to meet someone who looks familiar. However, Wang Shoucheng quickly determined that he didn’t know him because the man showed no change in expression upon seeing him.
No, it shouldn’t be said that there was no change. At least, the guy looked at him with what seemed to be disdain, his lips slightly curled, tightly pressed together, eyes slightly narrowed, revealing a coldness... Wang Shoucheng finished analyzing this within a few seconds.
"Dad, sob, sob, it’s him, he hit me!" Wang Lizhen quickly clung to Wang Shoucheng’s arm, wiping her tears and complaining as she cried for real because Li Yifei had not held back with that slap. At this moment, Wang Lizhen’s face was burning painfully, as if it was on fire.
With a cold snort, before Wang Shoucheng could speak, the portly Song Xing beside him spoke up first. He took a few steps forward, glaring at Li Yifei, and said, "Are you tired of living, daring to bully my niece? Damn it, someone, pin him down for me and send him to the Public Security Bureau!"
Song Xing is the owner and actual proprietor of this hotel, and his words were as good as imperial edicts to the security guards. How could they dare not comply? So, hearing Song Xing’s words, they surrounded Li Yifei.
Li Yifei chuckled, his voice cold as he asked, "What a mighty Deputy Director, really domineering. Aren’t you going to ask your daughter what she did to deserve a beating from me?"
With these words, the security guards instinctively paused. They uniformly turned to look at Wang Shoucheng and Wang Lizhen, while Pretty Boy Zhang Han began inching his way out stealthily. After all, this was Wang Lizhen’s father, the Deputy Director, which was already the highest rank he could imagine. If they remembered him poorly, he would be in trouble.
Especially recalling last night’s escapades with Wang Lizhen, he was spanking her while making her call him daddy, the more she called, the more excited she became...
Now her actual dad was here, and this pretend dad had no choice but to quickly slip away.
"What’s there to ask? You hit someone; it’s wrong. You guys hurry up, or do I have to make a move myself?" Song Xing said impatiently. He was eager to flatter Wang Shoucheng. Otherwise, he wouldn’t keep a room on the top floor reserved for his daughter. With the configuration of the hotel’s top-tier rooms, that’s six or seven hundred a day, accumulating to a significant sum over a year.
Just as the security guards were about to act, they heard Wang Shoucheng say, "So you tell me, why exactly did you hit my daughter."
"Dad, it’s for no reason at all. I just bought an antique worth more than two hundred thousand, and then the damn old man over there knocked it over and shattered it. I merely asked them to compensate, and then this guy suddenly showed up and hit me without a word. Dad, it’s a good thing you showed up, or I wouldn’t know what to do. It seems like he’d only be satisfied when he beats me to death."
The more Wang Shoucheng listened, the darker his face became. Equally dark was Song Xing, who, although he thought Wang Lizhen’s words might not be credible, had to act very angry.
"Hmph! Did you hear that?" Wang Shoucheng said coldly.
Li Yifei clapped his hands, making a clapping sound, but instead smiled, saying, "Great, your ability to twist the truth is impressive. Indeed, letters in the word ’authority’ are double-portmanteau, letting you say whatever you want."
"Bullshit, you punk, are you just looking for trouble today?" Song Xing said, rolling up his sleeves and looking ready to make a move himself, adding, "I’ve run this hotel for so many years, no one has ever dared to cause trouble here. You dare today, and I’ll make sure you don’t go back."
"You’re making me so scared." Li Yifei made a trembling gesture.
"Call the police, arrest him. Other issues I can overlook, but hitting someone must be severely punished. Arrogant punk, you still want to argue after hitting people," Wang Shoucheng ordered, setting the tone for what must be done.
Wang Shoucheng’s position might not be high, but his authority was formidable, enough to make someone like Song Xing, a long-time acquaintance, feel a twinge of fear. However, unfortunately for him, he encountered Li Yifei, a man who remained unfazed even in front of national leaders. For him, the noisy threat didn’t intimidate at all.
"Deputy Director of the Education Bureau." Li Yifei said slowly. Wang Shoucheng held his head high, "So what?"
"Deputy Departmental Level," Li Yifei replied.
Wang Shoucheng glared at him angrily. Being two or three decades older than this young man who didn’t fear him made him even more uncomfortable, especially since this guy had hit his daughter, whom he wouldn’t even touch. Who was he to do that, and still act like this afterward?
"Director Wang, have you heard of a term?" Li Yifei asked, seeing that Wang Shoucheng wasn’t responding, and continued on his own, "Screwed over by the young. Oh, that’s an internet slang term; someone your age might not know it."
Wang Shoucheng was so angry he almost jumped up, feeling his authority challenged and shouted, "You... Song Xing, have your men take him down, don’t waste time talking to him. I’ll take responsibility if anything happens!"
Song Xing immediately glared at those security guards who still hadn’t moved, while the guards inwardly cursed. You guys, do it yourself if you want, damn it! You know this guy can fight, yet you want us to go first? Isn’t this putting us in a tough spot?
But they didn’t really dare say such things, or they wouldn’t want to work anymore.
Despite the curses in their hearts, they had to close in on Li Yifei.
On the other side, Song Lianyao’s father had somewhat recovered and asked his daughter hoarsely, "Will everything be alright? Do we need to call the police?"
Song Lianyao shook her head and reassured, "Dad, don’t worry, everything will be fine. Yifei will handle it, and whoever dares to bully you will pay the price!"
By saying this, Song Lianyao already seemed filled with murderous intent.
Only then did the two elders nod, sitting on the couch, watching the situation unfold on the ground.
The elevator opened once more, and out stepped a couple, the man in his forties, and the woman in her twenties, looking pretty and dressed boldly. If it weren’t for their intimate demeanor, one would have assumed they were a father-daughter pair. But their embrace revealed a more ambiguous relationship.
The man had a square face, appeared righteous, and was in decent shape. Initially, his hand was clasped on the woman’s buttock inside the elevator. Seeing so many people outside, the man lightly coughed and let go, while the woman beside him bit her lip with a smile, teasingly whispering in his ear, "Daddy, why don’t you keep touching?"
Her words made the man’s heart race again, but he realized now was not the time for messing around. Soon, his attention was drawn to the crowd, curiously looking over and heard words exchanged between Wang Shoucheng and Song Xing. The man realized there was a conflict but just one glance made his heartbeat speed up, faster than when teased by the young woman.
